“We had the pleasant experience of having Koffie Trader cater heavy appetizers at our recent gathering. WOW! The bourbon meatballs, gorgonzola stuffed mushrooms, water chestnuts wrapped in beacon, spinach cheese spanakopita and assorted desserts were a huge hit. Great presentation and everything was delicious!!!!”
“Fantastic broasted chicken and potatoes! Mary's is a quaint diner with great food, awesome owners, and great staff. I highly recommend Mary's for breakfast, lunch or dinner!”
“Third time eating here/delivery, and the food was delicious as always. Very nice and friendly staff. This time, I stopped in to eat and got the pulled pork sub with fries. The meat was moist without soaking the bread. The barbecue sauce was smokey and just the right amount of spice to it to give it kick of flavor without burning off the taste buds. I've known the owner since we were kids running around the streets of Cedar Grove. I give them 5 stars not because I know the owner but because they truly have great food and service. The only issue with this place is that the dining area is rather small. This place also delivers to Oostburg, Belgium, Lake Church, and of course Cedar Grove. Now that is service! Keep up the good work David, it's nice to see local businesses like yours keeping commerce alive in the Grove.”
“The Sportyz burger is incredible! I highly recommend it if you are there when it is their special. Already thinking about when I can get another one. The chicken tenders are also delicious and a very generous amount.”
“Been ordering from them for over 20 years! They get better and better! The pizzas tasted much better with the sauce change! Love their salads and lasagna! I wish they sold fried buffalo wings though…☹️?”
“My partner and I were looking for a new place to try and he ended up finding this restaurant for us while browsing online. We went and it is super cute, not too big, and the staff were super nice.As far as the food, we were very impressed. I had a tuna melt and it was delicious. Partner had prime rib and the little man had a kids cheese burger. Well definitely be back and I definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't yet!Wheelchair accessibility: While walking in you'll notice the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. They also have a sign stating so near the door.”
“Stopped by this restaurant to try it and I wasn't disappointed. The prices are very reasonable and the food was good. The portions are a good size also. The inside is a bit crowded, but that's a small price to pay for good food at a reasonable price.”
“Small Town bakery that nails it "old school"! Nothing off a good connoisseur magazine here, just darn good baked goods that don't put you in the poor house! It's a friendly family operation that puts out really good bakery while treating there customers well. It has become a favorite of ours. The only issue you may find is what products they have on the day your going. We usually just wing it, but I'm sure you can always order ahead....like that apple pie waiting on my counter for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow!Wheelchair accessibility: Not really accessible. I am sure they would bring items out to you as it is a family run business.”
“Parking: On street parking and lot parking both free ..no over night though..usually carry out ...call before for added time saving...it's popular so keep that in mind...these folks are good people trying to give you great food and service.”
“Yes, a quintessential Wisconsin supper club. Fine, friendly service and of course delicious food. My ribeye was done to perfection and oh so tasty. The other dishes out group ordered were very good, you can't go wrong no matter what you order.”
“We sat and ate at the bar the guy was great help entertain our children, had a great conversation with everyone in our group you really could tell that he enjoyed his job and wanted to be there.Parking: Right before the train tracks set back off the road a little bit hard to see till you are right no top of it.Kid-friendliness: Pizza of all kinds and ice cream for dessert.”
“A real honest to goodness Midwestern American bakery! If you know what I'm talking about you're probably already heading there; if not, imagine the warmest fuzziest feeling of contentment while you breathe in the perfectly baked bread. Don't miss it!”
“Absolutely delicious food, I ordered the fried chicken on a bun, and it was AMAZING, the best I've had in a long time! And the fries came out hot too! I also loved the atmosphere - bunches of little tables with friendly chatter and happy servers. Will definitely be going here again!Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and booster seats available!”
“Ordered from DoorDash-Veggie curry, spicy cauliflower and butter curry. Garlic naan and samosas!!!!The samosas were more potato than pea (not bad just saying) . Very dense. Prob because Wisconsinites need more;) great green sauce. Called and talk d to someone to ask questions and they were helpful and friendly. The naan was 10/10. Don’t miss out !”
“Found this place by chance, staying by choice. Jeff is an AMAZING bartender. So personable, kind, and passionate. I will be coming back again and again. Heavy pours, good company, safe atmosphere. Gotta love it.”
“Food was fabulous had a king steak sandwich and it is fit for a king juicy and flavorful. The service was unmatched Melissa was one of the most attending bar tenders/servers I've ever encountered even with a full house I wasn't left waiting for a beverage or to be asked if anything was needed”
“Nowhere was wonderful I’ve never seen someone give so much love to birds there’s ducks there’s turkeys there’s a big boy named baby bird I think is maybe his name he wears hats one hat is a turkey trucker in hate is a turkey cowboy he’s a butterball he’s white and very friendly. He likes to listen to the radio let’s all pool in and get him a better radio with a better station. The lights are good there’s ducks, there’s a lake you can look at the bartenders wonderful the pizza was very good and the people are very friendly. They have ouchtunes and also a bluetooth speaker that you could play things from.go for the drinks stay for the birds”
“Jen is a hard-working young woman who purchased an existing business (Barb's Place, Fredonia. WI) after working there and learning the business. She has made it her own. Customers are her friends and extended family. It is a pub and grill with good food and drinks. Many specials for lunch. During the day, it is family friendly. Evenings bring karaoke, live entertainment, and lots of fun for adults.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp entrance.”
“Linda and I totally love this place. The beers are totally ice cold. The owner bill is fabulous and outgoing. And also, if you're looking for any eclectic knick knacks for your house, go to the back room if he doesn't have the 1 hubcap for Edsel, somebody else must have just purchased it. Coca-Cola signs baseballs photos memorabilia antiques galore in collectibles The rotating hams beer signs if he doesn't have it, it wasn't made back in the day. Go there and enjoy this quaint little historic place.”
“The food menu has an unexpected amount of options (very good- stuck with the basics considering bar food) and their corner was under road repair. Don't skip them, friendly service and good food along with fair prices.”
“We used Big Ed's to cater for our wedding, and the experience was great. Food was amazing, and James was great to work with. Got nothing but complements! Food was delivered on time, and was hot. Easy recommendation.”
“Great friendly casual atmosphere to enjoy with family and friends. Had a mushroom Swiss burger and fries which were great. Easy to self order on sheets of paper on table and then just take the sheet up to pay when finished. A must do if your in Random Lake Area.”
“Classic Wisconsin dive bar. Friendly service and good bar food. It is small and serves mostly local folks but the atmosphere is fun and inviting if you are not an introvert.”
“Been to 23 countries and nearly every state in the United States and this place is the real deal! Great staff! Try the "Mud Pie", Chocolate Eclair (yes - custard filled), and white "Long John" - crazy good!! The chocolate topping is amazing! Retro atmosphere is classic and comfortable. Simple place with a homegrown feel. If you're looking for a franchise "pretend" eatery - this isn't it. Visit Johnston's Bakery - You won't be disappointed!”
“We've had several batches from Coffee by Gillespie, and it is incredible the breadth of flavors that are brought out in the coffee. I'm used to the disappointment of tasting a new coffee and immediately discovering that they are overpoweringly acidic or have that burnt character; not the case here. With all of these coffees there has been a great combination of richness offset by sweeter notes.I opened a bag of the 1517 Roast for a pour over this morning, and it was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. I look forward to working my way through the rest of the types I have not tried, but I think 1517 is one just to have on hand.”
“We happened on this gem while in the area! Stopped for an afternoon bevie and immediately made to feel like a local! Amazing stand-up comedy routine from a great bartender Crystal! Seriously “sarchotic!” ? Thanks for the laughs! She’s a keeper! ?”
“Nice eating area.I had the breaded cod and the salad bar, it was ok. Nice selection of salad fixings. My husband had the baby back ribs, he said it was very good. Drinks were good. Big parking area and wasn't over packed at 6pm on a Friday and no waiting time for a table.”
“I bet no one on Yelp has been to this place nor will they stop. The Mirror Bar is in the unincorporated town of Dacada Wisconsin. My wife's uncle who grew up in the area told us about this old tavern run by the friendly owner Nic. They went to high school together. We were on a tour of family landmarks and stopped here. We were surprised it was open since we were warned the hours were erratic. No one was in the place on a Saturday afternoon except for Nic eating lunch at the bar. We explained our relation to him and then proceeded to have a beer some chips and a long conversation with him. He is super friendly and the beer was cheap and cold (only two kinds on tap). The place is dark, with peeling paint on the ceiling and a side room that could use a garage sale. There is tons of Packer and other sports memorabilia on the walls. The Mirror Bar has seen better days but it was fun to stop in to see a rural tavern that might not be around too much longer.”
“My wife and I have enjoyed everything on the menu and this is a regular spot for us. We have always had great service, great food, and are never rushed out to turn the table. You can’t beat the scenery either. We have hosted work parties and personal parties here several times over the years as well. Highly recommended!”
“Went on a Friday night for fish fry and it was pretty good. Nothing over the top, or anything that will blow you away, but its better than some of these other local family restaurants thats for sure. They have a decent selection on their menu, and the wait for anything take out is pretty quick if you choose to grab something on the go. I have stopped in about 5 times since I learned about the place and i haven't been disappointed with any of the food i ordered. My hats off to the owner as he's normally the only one cooking, at least he has been the only one cooking every time iv stopped in, usually Friday's for fish fry. He definitely has a passion for cooking and that’s something you don't see often with restaurant chefs anymore. He will personally come to your table to greet himself and to ask how your food is to your liking! Thats the passion im talking about, and he seems to really care about his customers. Iv seem so many restaurants come and go over the past 20 years in that location because they just dont make enough to keep in running. If anyone deserves a successful business to stay open it would be the current owner as he’s a great example of how a business should operate and interact in a smaller town. Every customer is so crucial to his success and the effort he puts in for each customer to ensure satisfaction is definitely off the charts.”
