“This review is LONG OVERDUE! As a SAHM, this place is my go to. I typically take my daughter once a week and we always have such a good time. I love seeing the same familiar faces each week, I love the fact that they know mine and my daughter's name, and Evan knows exactly how I like my iced latte! It just makes me feel so welcomed and apart of their inviting community! I've been to many other play cafes and this is BY FAR THE BEST! From the aesthetic vibe, to the food/drinks options, the hours (9-7 PM) compared to other places that close earlier in the day, and no blocked times for play so it caters to everyone's schedules. I also really ADMIRE AND APPRECIATE seeing so many different faces and backgrounds. It's just so welcoming to ALL and I will forever be apart of this village!“

“Thank you so much for noticing our DoorDash order had food allergens in it the other day! You made some coffee loving nurses very happy! The gluten free item I ordered was unfortunately out and Java house provide two gluten free options in our order instead and provided notes about the allergens. They also saved our dairy-free coffee lover from accidentally getting sick by noticing she had ordered dairy free ingredients in her drink as a frappe without knowing the frappe base had dairy in it. Again, they wrote a note why they made the drink not as a frappe. We will be ordering again! My wife and I shared the stuffed bread with chorizo, the Butternut Squash Sage & Bacon sandwich, and the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich with a side of roasted potatoes. Every bite was delicious! “Great little coffee shop with good drinks and pastries.There's not much in terms of ambiance as it's in the lobby of a building, in front of a set of elevators, but it's good enough to grab a coffee and snack.There is minimal seating, so you can't go with a large group, but fine if you're solo or with a couple of others.“

I didn’t realize how busy it would be when I ordered all of my coworkers drinks, so when I came in I felt awful for such a huge order. But the baristas were so fast and efficient. Even with 50 unsupervised tweens crowding the store, they kept their cool and made delicious drinks. I’m so impressed with them! The girl had dark red hair and the guy had a cool earring. 10/10 <3“

“The baked goods and sandwiches are so tasty. I love the cranberry pumpkin muffin with sportea. This location is where they roast coffee, and it can be very loud. The covered porch is quieter, and the courtyard is a magical space when the weather is nice.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get up to the front door. It has a bend/corner to not be too steep when I've used it with a stroller. I am not a wheelchair user, so I can only say it works well for a stroller. There is a designated space for the line to the cash register that is like a wide hallway. This wide section continues in a loop past the side door to the porch to the front door. The door on the porch that faces Humboldt leads back to the ramp, but does not have a door opener, so it may be hard to use. The other door leading to the courtyard will take you to stairs and no ramp. The courtyard is accessible from the sidewalk outside, and this is likely the easiest way to enter. In general, there are wide pathways, but in-between tables is less spacious.“

“The Starbucks inside the Northwestern Mutual building is an awesome spot. You can get your favorite drink and bring it out into the public space. Lots of great light, different areas to sit, read a book, catch up on email or watch all the busy people go to work.

Parking: some metered parking spots on the street.“

“I tried 2 tasty warm items today a feta and spinach pastry and a chicken croquette. I would say these are some of the tastiest things I have tried in a long time. Flaky pastry with a buttery taste and a croquette with the chicken that was so flavorful! What a lovely place. They also offered other warm items, pastries and a lovely seating area and free internet. I will come again. Perfect for coffee, small groups, families or to do work on the computer.“
