“This was our 1st. time here and it certainly didn't disappoint! Atmosphere was really nice, cozy but still fun. Our waitress Eliza was super, checking on us but never pushy. She gave us some great recommendations that were absolutely delicious. We started with sharing a cup of corn and crab chowder, beet and goat cheese salad and sautéed crawfish with crossttini. Everything was fantastic, not to spicy hot just seasoned well. Main course was also great, steak and mashed potatoes....super tender and juicy steak came out exactly like we ordered...perfect meduim rare. That doesn't happen often. Also had the blacken salmon with asparagus and beans and rice. Again can't say enough it was delicious. Then to top the evening off we shared the beneignts with a fruit sauce. YUMMY Kudos to you all the chef and waite staff and Eliza for a great dining experience.“

“The food on today was good except the dressing It was very dry; it was inedible. My one complaint about this restaurant is they never get your order right. And the female cashier this evening around 4 pm 022625 was unfriendly; when I told her that I didn’t get my muffin , soda and extra piece of fish. Bad customer service makes me not want to eat the food.“

“I had a catfish sandwich the other day and… The bread was toasted just right with butter on both sides. The onions, lettuce and tomato was perfectly crispy. And the fish was fried to perfection with a tasteful crust. I opened it up and gave it perfect sprinkles of hot sauce to top it off. First to last bite was heaven on earth.“

The bartender was fantastic and informative of the drink and food selection. 😲 did you see that chicken sandwich, we ordered the double with fries to split and the crispy Brussel sprouts for the table. We also each had the deciduously driftless cocktail sooo good! I want to bounce back to those sprouts, man they were like veggie crack, topped with a maple vinaigrette and pistachios. I had a hiccup on a take out order and I called to let them know. The manager was courteous respectful and made it right on another visit. I love the fried pickles. “I tried this restaurant in support of “Black Restaurant Week”, I got the Beef Brisket meal, the Brisket, Brisket Baked Beans & the Greens were all good, but I didn’t like the fat around the edges of the Brisket, (not a lot of fat overall though which was good), & there could have been more barbecue sauce on the meat, & the side dish portions were way too small for a $17 meal, & the wife/owner could have been friendlier in our brief interaction, the husband/owner was more personable……I would try them out again & maybe try the Brisket Sandwich.“

“The food was hot and fresh but we did have to wait a bit. I'd suggest ordering ahead it seemed to be the trend. We tried the catfish, fried chicken, fries, and fried green tomatoes. Unfortunately, the fried green tomatoes were a bit disappointing and flavorless, but the rest of the meal was really good. The chicken and fish were crispy and juicy. Although the dining area didn't quite live up to our expectations, so we decided to take our food to go instead.“

“Always come hungry! I always split a bag with someone. I enjoy their crab legs and shrimp. This time I ordered a bag of shrimp. It comes with potatos, corn, and a slice of corn bread. I always add broccoli and cauliflower. I also recommend getting a side of white rice as it pairs nicely w the seasoned butter sauce. Their cajun and everything sauces are yummy 😋“

“I had sworn off of JJ's Chicken after my last experience but this new location for me is fantastic! The chicken is not oily. The meal was ready when we arrived. The fries were crispy just like I like them! You have a new customer with us.
