“We spent a weekend getaway in Milwaukee for our anniversary and went to Tupelo Honey for dinner on Saturday night. We made a reservation ahead of time online but it looked as if walk-ins would have been accommodated! Our waitress, Courtney, was absolutely AMAZING and made our whole experience even better. The vibe of the restaurant was on point and the food was beyond delicious! We got the skillet pimento cheese dip app, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and pecan pie for dessert. Everything was so good and we would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes good, comfort food! Definitely ask to sit in Courtney's section!“

“I would like to start off by saying I had the absolute WORST DELIVERY EXPERIENCE of a life time through Uber eats. Absolutely TRASH. I placed a 5 hour ADVANCE order for this restaurant hoping to get my food by 3pm. After the FIRST loser of a driver stole my order, the restaurant QUICKLY called Uber Eats for me, got me refunded and I quickly placed another order because I’ve been craving soul food! Fast forward 2 1/2 hours, the restaurant had my order ready to go and I was tracking my app to see which driver picked up my order, MULTIPLE, and I mean MULTIPLE drivers bailed and kept switching drivers on me. I was back and forth with the manager Ashley at the restaurant about this situation and she was SO KIND and understanding and frustrated for me. She did everything in her power to make sure I get my food that I’ve waited 2 hours for. I finally received my food and the restaurant added a free Koolaid, Corn bread AND Cobbler pudding with my order for all the craziness today even though it was NOT the restaurants fault. I manage my own restaurant with 22 FULL TIME employees, 1 salary Asst and 1 hourly asst. so I understand partnering with DoorDash, Uber eats ect… and having to remake order over again when the drivers decide to STEAL FOOD. It’s the small things that matter and this restaurant went way more than ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR ME! 🩷 no more delivery . You will be seeing me often in person now! 🩷 DELICIOUS DELICIOUS FOOD!!! THANK YOU!“

“Doc's is the best smoked meat in Milwaukee. The portions are satisfying. They have 4+types of sauces. The fries are seasoned just right!! I had a hiccup on a take out order and I called to let them know. The manager was courteous respectful and made it right on another visit. I love the fried pickles. Good food and integrity is a delicious combo. Thanks Doc 😉“

“Ordered the chicken gizzard dinner but with a twist had them do a hot lemon pepper flavor and it is great food is fresh and hot customer service was great from the staff saving this location as a favorite whenever I’m back in the area 10-4 over and out ?“

Interior is cute and well taken care of but you have to walk to the way back when it's not busy to be serviced I stood by the wait to be seated sight for a good 15 minutes before grabbing help myself

“I had sworn off of JJ's Chicken after my last experience but this new location for me is fantastic! The chicken is not oily. The meal was ready when we arrived. The fries were crispy just like I like them! You have a new customer with us.
