“Stoped in on our way north for some to go BBQ! Did the 3 choice meat's, and a order of the bbq Mac n cheese, everything was fabulous! Had the tips, smoked turkey was fabulous just was finished when we sat down, front large door to street was open allowing the NE lake breeze in, the wonderful smoke bbq aroma filling the restaurant, bar service spot on! Everything was very good for real BBQ in Wisconsin!
Even or miniature Mountain lions at home Loved the smoke turkey, so tender and juicy!

“Literally the best filet of my life! You have ruined all other steaks for me 😜 The garlic butter on top made it even more amazing. “Doc's is the best smoked meat in Milwaukee. The portions are satisfying. They have 4+types of sauces. The fries are seasoned just right!! I had a hiccup on a take out order and I called to let them know. The manager was courteous respectful and made it right on another visit. I love the fried pickles. Good food and integrity is a delicious combo. Thanks Doc 😉“

“I tried this restaurant in support of “Black Restaurant Week”, I got the Beef Brisket meal, the Brisket, Brisket Baked Beans & the Greens were all good, but I didn’t like the fat around the edges of the Brisket, (not a lot of fat overall though which was good), & there could have been more barbecue sauce on the meat, & the side dish portions were way too small for a $17 meal, & the wife/owner could have been friendlier in our brief interaction, the husband/owner was more personable……I would try them out again & maybe try the Brisket Sandwich.“

This is a family business that has been in this exact spot for generations. You have to try the BBQ.. I love the Philly cheese.

“I was very hesitant about trying their food we bought a plate when they first took over and in all honesty it wasn't that great I gave them a second chance today and I was highly impressed the tips were cooked perfectly the sauce was good the Mac and cheese and yams were perfected it was very good Darnell our family will definitely be back“

“Alright people - I found another local gem. Fire Side BBQ (7706 W Burleigh) is the bbq restaurant I have been looking for coming from Tennessee. Before anyone comments on that sauce, I ask for extra anytime I hear the restaurant makes their own sauce because I want the full experience of the cook I’m dealing with. The sauce was AMAZING.. but.. THIS. BRISKET. WAS. FIRE! Brisket is the ultimate test to see if you’re dealing with a good BBQ place, and this is the best brisket I have had from a restaurant in Wisconsin. I have also heard their fish fry is outstanding, and to top it off, they have live DJs on Friday nights!! This is such a cool spot and I cannot wait to come back!“

“We came in close to when the bar opened, I think we walked in around 12pm ish. Sam was working at that time (it was Saturday Aug. 8th) and let me tell you!!! She gave us the best experience. Great personality, easy to talk to, down to earth — seriously the best bartender/waitress you guys have!! We had a couple drinks & left to go explore Milwaukee but came back specifically to see her and see the bar during its busy time. The mechanical Bull was an absolute blast, the outdoor patio was great, just an all around great experience. Shout out to Sam for directing us to the public market & being just a great person to chat with! Will definitely be back whenever we visit Milwaukee again“
