“Great food, great service and spotted cow! Wanted a place to get spotted cow before hitting the airport to Dubuque. Small place with Mom in the kitchen and son working the front of the house or his wife when he is not working. Walked in and the bartender/owner/waiter said "we can make room" as we were walking out. He set up a table and made us feel right at home. There were four of us and we all got burgers and I had a couple of spots. It may be our new go to as we go to the airport.“

“Sandy Hook Taverns is always a good time! At the Hook you will find a friendly atmosphere, well made drinks and great food sold by AJ's Meat Shack. The Hook is also very supportive of local musicians and books local entertainment often. Halloween at the Hook is my personal favorite.“

“I have frequented The Taphouse a number of times for dining. The food is fantastic and falls right in line with what you pay anywhere when dining out at an establishment today. The Chef is very talented, can adjust/suggest options if you have food allergies and does so happily. My favorite is the house salad with grilled salmon. This thing is loaded with ingredients that complement each other and the homemade dressing is delicious!Every bartender has been welcoming, every wait person has been attentive and pleasant and the atmosphere is fun!Our town is blessed with great restaurants and I would encourage anyone to try The Taphouse when visiting Galena!“

“While my wife & I were shopping in Downtown Galena we decided to take a little break. Instead of coffee our normal break confection we decided to try Champagne on Main, (our 1st visit). Well it won't be our last. It was a Saturday early afternoon and we were warmly greeted by Laura the owner. She gave us a great table up front by the Bar & Sunny Front Window. The day was cold 32 degrees outside but inside Champagne on Main it was delightful. Laura was so excited about her place and gave us a bit of history on her old building. Drinks were perfect & prices not bad. We relaxed, (chilled) there for about an hour...then off for more shopping. Thank - You Galena for the great day.....and you to Laura!PS - Laura showed us her new El Fresco outside seating area out the back door...nice quiet garden like spot with a tall wood fence that seats about 30 people. Going back for sure this upcoming Summer. Well Done Laura & staff!“

“Omg the best little find just across the border! There a this old bar that is actually one of Wisconsin’s oldest bars full of history and amazing bbq! Cold drinks but no hard liquor. This bar is part of the Cheese Head trail for ATV/UTV. When we stopped it was full of motorcycles too. Staff is so friendly and is willing to share their experiences with others.Parking: Sooo many options for any type of vehicles“

“Very loud music. Very loud people. But what do you expect! Place is tiny and packed!!! Awesome crazy huge "long islands" nice bartenders. Rowdy crowd but not haters. Very big outdoor area. Def worth a visit. Middle of nowhere but worth it!“
