“Restaurants in hotels can be a hit or miss and Van Acre hit the mark. The food was phenomenal, from breakfast to dinner. I’ve had the breakfast buffet twice and they had ample of selection and protein selection were not greasy at all. Phil was very down to earth and accommodating - kudos to him! There was another gentleman who served me (can’t recall the name) and he, too, was very attentive.On to dinner service. Portions were very generous but I can’t say enough on how spectacular the food tasted. Get the smoke plate - the pork belly alone was to die for.This is by far one of the best restaurants in a hotel I’ve ever been with respect to quality of food and phenomenal service by all staff.Kid-friendliness: Washroom had Koala care with liners and staff offered booster seat.”

“This was our second time there and the food was consistently good. This experience was especially pleasant because of how charming and informative our server Zack was. Not only was he able to provide informed recommendations on the menu, but also on other places to visit while in WI. I will also say that as someone that drinks classic martinis when dining out and is often disappointed by the drink a receive, I was SO impressed by the martini here (both times we came). Plus I don’t know the last time I was able to order a quality martini for less than $12 so that was just an added bonus. Additionally, the fact that the chef came out to check on the table and see how the mean was… such a classic form of hospitality and care! I hope this place continues to succeed. “What a wonderful evening we had! The lobster bisque was some of the best ever. The layering of flavors was exquisite! The beef Wellington was perfectly cooked. The gnocchi was so light and fluffy. “This little slice (pun intended) of heaven never disappoints. I had dinner plans at a friend's house and they asked me to bring dessert. I immediately thought, what better way to please everyone than to get a 12 assorted mini cheesecake pack. It was perfect. Everyone enjoyed the different flavors, and they were delicious. My favorite was the lemon blueberry. My husband's favorite was the turtle. Try EVERY flavor you will not be disappointed.”

“I like to look for local shops when I'm in a town I usually don't frequent, so when I saw their sign back in February to support local, I figured it was a bit overdue when I returned in March! I got a matcha latte & it was very tasty! The barista suggested sweetener as it came without, so I went with their recommendation and it was very tasty! Not too sweet but not bland at all!:)The inside is very homey and I adore the local coffee shop vibes it gave off! The storefront also further supports the idea of supporting local artists, as there are other goodies inside made by other locals.Thanks for an easy morning on what would turn out to be a bit of a crazy week that week. “This is a quaint little local place that is aiming at providing authentic Mediterranean fast food. Gyros, hummus and the like. The setting is humble, but warmed up nicely hearing little family voices coming from the kitchen. It's a family-run business and that's appreciated. Sure, the decor could be improved a bit but that's secondary. They're doing a lot well and it's good to affirm that. Smiling face at the cash register. Solid gyros. Small town feel. If you're looking for a quick meal running through town, make a stop. Enjoy!”

“I have mixed feelings because the food is wonderful, the best burgers and fries by far. But the last two times we are told "sit wherever" and then wait anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes before being greeted with multiple open tables. Once was directly in front of the bartender and not even acknowledged. That being said, once we do get a server, they're always polite.”

“I love the Mint. Whenever I'm in Wasau I make sure to stop in because it is one of the last true, old school diners around. The place has history. Their breakfast used to bowl me over but this time the eggs seemed to be powdered. I could be wrong, but they just weren't the same. Came back the next day for dinner and the chicken and stuffing was just as delicious as I remembered. The place is always buzzing with the locals and it's write in the heart of downtown so you can do a little walking after your meal. Come enjoy a small slice of Americana.”

“This review should be 4.9 stars! The only negative is the service was too good! We were checked on multiple times and we like to take our time and savor our food. The food was amazing! We feasted on steak, ahi tuna, cajun shrimp and fresh bread. All cooked perfectly. 5 stars! My old fashioned was perfect too. It's no wonder they've been in business so long. The Palm's knows how to do it right!”

“CALL AHEAD! This place is popular not only for being a brand new breakfast spot with incredible selection, but because it's DELICIOUS!! So if you're just going to try to walk in, be ready for a 15+ minute wait. Food is phenomenal! Fresh ingredients with a cozy, fun atmosphere. My absolute favorite is the Benny flight. I mean, I'm a sucker for Benedict, so if you let me have 3 kinds on one plate, sign me up! Was not disappointed at all. Will be back to try more!”

“This is a great place to get a cold treat in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. There are several locations, I've been to the Mosinee store several times and a couple of the Wausau locations as well. I make sure that I stop whenever I am up for a visit.”
