I am disappointed to hear that the bar at the La Crosse/Onalaska store (and all Hy-Vee locations) will close April 30. It was managed and staffed very well. This was something that made Hy-Vee unique, and now it will be less so. I guess dropping Wahlburgers was a step in that direction. No thanks to the Corporate Office of Hy-Vee, Inc.
I use Hy-Vees weekly ads and it seems every other week or so they have a two day sale so many wonderful bargains

Hy-Vee Chinese is a lovely store with a clean and organized layout, making it easy to navigate. The store offers many food and drink options, including fresh seafood and meat areas, as well as a liquor selection. However, the food court has received mixed reviews, with some customers criticizing the sushi and Chinese food as not being authentic. Many believe that if someone seeks authentic Chinese food, they should look elsewhere. Yet, others find the American/Chinese food to be solid, fulfilling cravings at an extremely affordable price with large portions. The parking lot has been a major issue, with small spaces and limited capacity, making it difficult to find a parking spot. Additionally, the lack of a paper grocery ad at the front of the store can make it challenging to find what's on sale. Despite these drawbacks, Hy-Vee Chinese remains a popular destination in the community, known for great quality food and excellent service, as seen from customer experiences with staff like Riley and Keara.
