“Great place in downtown Lake Geneva! As someone who is not a big beer drinker, I appreciate the self-serve, pay-by-the-ounce setup that allows you to taste only as much as you want without being wasteful. I ate the turkey panini and it was so good our group kept talking about it several days later. I live out-of-state but will definitely return whenever I visit the Lake Geneva area again!“

The drinks are phenomenal and I cannot wait to go back for a rematch on the game but more specifically for the drinks. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere was great. “Very much enjoyed our anniversary at The Getaway! Sat out on their beautiful deck. The calamari was superb, my husband loved his chicken Marsala and I really enjoyed the shrimp Diablo. Our waitress Denise was a pro and added to the great experience. We will be back!“

“Great place if you love dancing. It doesn't start till 9-10pm and usually goes till 2am. You can really get a great workout out sweating it up on the dance floor. That's for sure. Staff is always nice and friendly. But sometimes it's a little busy and crowded to get in line and wait for a drink , but that's to be expected at any busy bar. They also throw a lot of themed dance parties that are just so fun. Highly recommend.“

“Nice patio overlooking beautiful green golf course. A few tables. Lots of colorful flowers.Good cheese curds. Grilled chicken sandwiches were delicious. Moist big piece of chicken. Good selection of spirits especially bourbon and whiskey. Fun nostalgia on the walls as well. Great place to grab drinks if you're a local or if you're passing through.“

“I want to begin by saying that we love this place. BUT, the service and food were just horrible. My husband's wings were good but my nachos were terrible. The lack of beef was covered up with lettuce and triple helping of sour cream. I left hungry. We usually stay for more than 1 drink, but I had to get out of there due to a very miserable child screaming for its mother to pay attention to her. Just an overall unpleasant experience.“

“Service us quick and attentive. They serve good chips and good salsa when you are seated. I ordered a side of their guacamole Cesare (spelling). It is delicious, but I felt overpriced the amount they served. We had enchiladas, beef burrito and chili relldno. All were very good. I really like their refried beans.“

“We ate at the BratHaus on Tuesday for lunch. The food and service was excellent and the owner, Jerry, was kind enough to listen to stories of my childhood, working in the hardware store that my great grandfather started back in the early 1900s. Was lucky enough to work for my grandpa there while in middle school. Great to see some of the original things that have been kept. We will be back next time we visit.“

“The food was some of the best I've had in Walworth County. I Understand that it was 12:30pm on a Saturday and they were extremely busy but it was so noisy that you couldn't have a conversation. Staff was very pleasant. I will be returning but will select off-peak hours for my visit.“

“We attended the Hypnotized event on Saturday and it was so much fun. The event space is large and the tables are well spaced so you don’t feel crowded. There are 2 bars and bathrooms. The food was better than expected given the size of the event. The band was great and there was room up front to dance…which we did the entire time. It was the perfect way to celebrate our birthdays! We highly recommend Pier 290.“
