“This restaurant has become my favorite. In fact, I have taken guests there twice in the last week - and will do so again next week. Food, service and ambiance are all outstanding. While the Madison area generally caters to the casual diner, I find that Cooper's Hawk offers a “cut above” for those of us who also are comfortable adding a little extra class to our experience. In my several visits, friends have all tried different dishes - and raved about their selections. And we have enjoyed their wines as well. (One of my friends is even taking her family to their “Open Thanksgiving” following our visit). Whether for lunch or dinner, I have been equally impressed.“

“An awesome traditional american breakfast spot. It’s great when you walk in and everyone is a local. They had a great selection of just about anything you could think of, omelette, pancakes, scrambles, skillets, etc. My boyfriend said they were some of the best pancakes he’d ever had. My omelette was good, wasn’t out of this world but it was cheesy and had a nice balance of every ingredient. I would loved a little more ham. Very good for a quick bite, they are fast and efficient! Definitely will come again, looking forward to trying more of the menu.“

My food is always hot when I get it. The added bonus is how reasonably priced their food is. Definitely a place to check out and help to support your local small businesses.“

“Great bar. Quick and easy service to get drinks. Great music playing on jukebox. Pool tables were on free when we were there but are a little steep at $1.50 a game normally. 2 golden tee machines, 2 dart boards. Outdoor volleyball. Fries were good but the food is just prefrontal and cooked. Will go again. People were all personable and didn't treat us as outsiders.“

“Friendly locally owned place. One of the oldest buildings in Middleton. Ambience is a bit like drinking in your crazy uncle's basement (i.e. the furnace is in the middle of the room) with strong drinks and good food.“

“Want to give a shout out to the wait staff at Tanners. Awesome people. Toni and Vanessa are so good at what they do and are such an asset. Amazing with customers and incredible people skills. These two have on at least 20 occasions in the last year kept people from leaving (very busy) and helped find tables for them to sit at or knew of tables leaving soon. Always acknowledge people who have been waiting. People return to Tanners because of staff like these two women. Experience and customer rapport like that is hard to find.“
