“It was very busy but the staff was competent and friendly. They forgot to give us chocolate milk for my daughter, but as soon as we let them know, an employee very quickly brought us one and apologized for the inconvenience. There were plenty of clean tables to choose from and the bathroom was clean, despite how busy they were.“

The staff was amazing with our waitress being kind and courteous, as well as prompt with service. The menu is rather eclectic with various options, so there is something for everyone. “Heard from friend's that the Friday Fish Fry was worth checking out, and they were right. I had a platter with two pieces of cod, one piece of walleye and one piece of perch. The entree included a small helping of fries, a small serving of coleslaw and tartar sauce, plus a choice of potato, so I chose the homemade potato chips. My companion had the two piece cod dinner. Our dinner also included complimentary warm bread and butter. I particularly liked the chips and the flavor of the perch. We each had a drink so the meal came out to about $40 before tip. Neither of us left feeling hungry. Highly recommended.“

“First time eating here and have to leave a review. We waited about 35 minutes since it was busy, but it was worth the wait! We ordered the pretzel with beer cheese and mustard, the beer cheese had a nice kick to it. Also ordered a single smash burger which was one of the best I’ve had and bun was really moist. Got the shroomer pizza to share and although it was thin it was still stretchy and very good, no complaints! We will be back“

“This is a grill located in the holiday inn at American center. The staff is friendly and drinks were good. They have a thin crust pizza and pitcher deal. Service was good and this is a convenient place to unwind if you don’t want to leave the hotel.“

“We came in and ordered and there was something wrong with the order- we tried calling back a few times but the line kept saying busy (later found out there’s an issue with their phone) so we drove back. It’s been a long weekend and honestly we were upset when we came in but the manager on shift (not sure her name I wish I caught it) was fantastic. I’ve worked food service for a long time and the way she handled the situation and corrected everything was like watching a training video she was so sweet, calm, and helpful. “Went to the Famous Walleye Breakfast today with a warm welcome from April. I came in for Breakfast but with the atmosphere fun & outgoing we stayed for the rest of the afternoon. Service was 5 star 🌟. I highly recommend the second Sunday of every month & the special appearance of April.“

One of our orders was a French Toast Slam and the french toast wasn't fully cooked. This isn't their normal service here. Our server Rebecca however, was great!!“

“I want to start this review saying that I sure hope the manager that's Not Steven doesn't treat the employees like he treated us. We were headed to our hotel when other hockey team members called and said they were headed to Nitty-gritty to eat. We had seen the ads at the hockey rink and turned around and were the first ones there. I walked in and Not Steven asked how many. I explained I thought about 20-25 from our team were coming. He told us that he could not accommodate all of us in one area, that he had several teams coming in that had set reservations. He told us we should have made reservations months ago and made us feel like a complete inconvenience. I had never been to Sun Prairie and wouldn't have any idea of that. We waited for our friends and eventually Steven moved us together, after Not Steven seemed to go out of his way to spread us across the whole building. I'm so glad that we did not just leave due to the way we were treated by Not Steven. Our server was Joe I believe. He was attentive and polite and did a wonderful job. Honestly all the other staff seemed happy to be there and seemed to enjoy working there. The food was fast, tasted wonderful, and was very well put together. We ordered a few different things. The nachos had great ground meat that wasn't greasy gross. The flatbread was well made. Everything else was great also. The price for the plate size was good also. It's a shame that my first and lasting impression is of how inconvenient we were to Not Steven. I do want to note that, while we were there, I never saw any part of any of the other teams there. There did seem to be a small gathering of adults at one time but no other teams. I truly hope the manager doesn't treat his amazing team the way he treated new customers. Also, Steven was wonderful and was very welcoming.“
