“Came in for their Friday Fish Fry. Was not disappointed. Excellent fish, baked potatoe was done right. Quick service. Had a great burger there for lunch a month before. Staff works well together, busy place, but kept my drink glass full. Highly recommended this place!“

“The owner of this bar isn't great, but fortunately, he's never there when I go. John is who I usually deal with, and he is everything a bartender should be. He's accommodating and friendly. He remembers my name and my order. He makes this place what it is!
The dry rub here is amazing and I recommend you get the wings with dry rub every time!“

“Although the building looks a tad rough from the outside, the inside is very clean and tidy with lots of seating and tons of TVs. Service was prompt and polite and the burgers were excellent. Generous portions and cooked as ordered. Glad I stopped here on my way through the area.“

“Stopped in for supper on Friday night. It was close to 8:30 by the time we got there. We both had the deep fried cod. It was outstanding !! Still had the salad bar full, fish was lightly breaded and great service as usual !! Great food and drinks. Highly recommend the prime rib on Saturday night as well. 😋😋“

“Pretty good! I got the veggie burrito which wasn’t anything special but it still hit! The potatoes were really good. I also got the s’mores cold brew and that was delicious.

Vegetarian options: They had a veggie burrito which is what I got. They also had a scrambler and a bagel sandwich. And some classic breakfast stuff like pancakes and french toast. I was just there for brunch so can’t speak for all of their menus!“

“Love the rustic indrustrialized interior. The outdoor beer garden is absolutely charming with grape vines and lights. Staff are all very friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed the Strawberry Fields cocktail and the freshly made Ellsworth cheese curds. Can't wait to go back and try more!“

“Still one of my favorite dive bars in Wisconsin. Had a pretty good burger this time too. Got to pet a couple of good dogs and was able to enjoy a pair of reasonably priced beers. Glad to see some things have stayed awesome since I left this beautiful town.“

“Took 1.5 hours getting food and it came cold. Ordered a cheeseburger for 17.00 and it came with no cheese. Dry and over cooked. The rest of the food was cold. Waitress was busy visiting with other staff. Was a total disaster.“

“I was in there yesterday evening (7/29/2022) with my husband and father around 7 pm. Our waitress made a few mistakes in our service. But what meant something to me is that she apologized. She could easily have avoided us. Management had already stepped in. But she didn’t. It took courage to come back to us and say she was sorry. I probably didn’t show it at the time, but I really appreciated that. It showed a great deal of poise and courage.“

First they have Guinness on tap they have harp on tap they have some incredible drink selections but let's go away from there and go to the food I only had the basically the fish and chips the batter was incredibly light it was not greasy it didn't detract in a fish the fish inside was amazing the chips were great decent french fries fresh as opposed to cook for 2 hours before the coleslaw was superb they've been a two slices of rye bread with it the rest of the menu looked very good it had sandwiches anywhere from 12:00 to $19 main meals anywhere from 22 to 42 or higher market price steak whatever that means in English and the appetizers look amazing so I'd recommend it if you're going to be in a first class hotel in Madison Wisconsin which isn't going to happen to everyone and barely happen to me I recommend this place it's got aesthetics and Keith and they do wear masks“

“I totally enjoyed visiting Hawk's Bar in Madison, Wisconsin on August 3, 2024. The bartender was Jimmy, and he was excellent at his job. He provided friendly and helpful customer service. Hawk's has enough craft beers to keep me more than happy. Although I didn't eat there, the food menu looked very good, too. I definitely recommend Hawk's Bar.“
