It's a bar, so have realistic expectations. I've been here before but it's been a few years.The burgers were good, but nothing spectacular. They ran out of fish for Friday night fish fry. This was during lent and we dined around 8pm so it was no real surprise and wasn't a deal breaker.Service was great. The server was very attentive and apologized for the lack of fish fry. Monkeyshines is a local bar that has been around forever. Typical local bar with pool tables, dart boards, and sand volleyball. Their menu is awesome. I've eaten lunch here several and have never been disappointed. Their dayly specials are always a lot of good food. Today, we got the meat loaf with Bacon onion gravy (want that recipe!) and jalepeno cheddar cornbread. It was delicious, and more than I could eat. While it can get loud on Thursday during the meat raffle and table service is a bit slower, it's worth it. Friday Fish is fantastic and comes out quickly. Monkeyshines is a neighborhood staple for us at least a few times a month.
