“It was an easy choice to pick Stone Porch Alehouse for lunch with a friend. Ordered the Nashville Chicken sandwich which was absolutely delicious and hit the spot, the seasonings were spot on and it was fried perfectly. My friend ordered a cheeseburger and fries and hers looked delicious too! Shoutout to Chef Jacob and waiter Cody. I asked Cody to pick a surprise side with my chicken and hers picked the cornbread (Yum!). You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu-it’s all mouth watering and generous portions! I just wish they offered roasted Brussel sprouts! We’ll be back soon!“

“Swung through for a late lunch with a small group and couldn’t have been more happy with the experience.

Comfy seating, quick service and delicious food. Patty melt was phenomenal as was the turkey avocado club sandwich, which featured a huge slice of house smoked turkey (not the usual soggy deli meat you find elsewhere).

Would visit again. Very excellent on every level.“

“Grabbed a quick bite before event. Food was okay. Service was fine but bar can get busy which slowed things down. As it got busier seemed like hostess was losing track of which tables in bar area were actually open or not because you had to leave your table to go to the bar to order.“

“Came in a couple weekends ago with my son. The food was amazing. We both got the pull tab burgers and cheese curds, and would return to eat here again. Unfortunately, the service during our visit was poor. When we arrived, it was not full/busy, but it got busy shortly after we arrived. Despite sitting front and center at a hightop table, we received our sodas and then were ignored for about 20 mins. I asked twice, 2 different waitresses, in that time period to order. Both waitresses walked by us multiple times, and helped other/larger tables that arrived after us, first instead of us. I finally asked what looked like a manager if he could help me, and he didn't, but he got a 3rd waitress to help. My son and I intended to dine in, and also ordered 1 addtl order to-go. The kitchen brought all 3 orders out in stryofoam in a plastic bag, so my son and I ate from to-go containers at the table. Despite the fact that the service was annoying, I'd try again since the food was so good. Maybe it was an off day?“

“What a great place to hold a meeting. If you time it right, after the meeting, it’ll be time to grab a pitcher of Spotted Cow and maybe a bratwurst. I love the service at the brat stand. They were very specific that we shouldn’t bother tipping them because the tips went to the organization and they didn’t go to the actual people working the stand. The beer is cold. The food is prepared fresh. The service is exceptional and the views are magnificent. There is free entertainment and apparently Friday afternoons are open Mic. That may be an option on other days as well.“

“Visited Madison for homecoming weekend and wanted to say I was so impressed with this new bar in town! I wanted to gather a potentially large group of women I went to college with and the owner ( also a Badger alum ) was more than accommodating and communicative! They have a large space upstairs to host up to 300 people! They appear to have a full calendar of fun events - and we saw they had karaoke one night as well !!! I will definitely keep them in mind for the future! Love Moon Bar !“

“Came here on the recommendation of our Uber driver. Great call! Great place. The staff was fantastic. Maggie and Tony were especially welcoming to us Bama boys. I can’t say enough about the hospitality shown to us. The burgers and curds were phenomenal. Not sure if I’ll ever get back to Madison, but I’ll certainly drop in again if I do!!“

“We hired state street brats catering for an employee all staff meeting and we were beyond thrilled with their services. The food was hot, plentiful and delicious. I was more impressed with the customer service of their team. Everyone was friendly and super accommodating! They went out of their way to ensure everyone was able to eat. They were even able to accommodate a gluten sensitive meal on the fly. And they did it without making anyone feel inconvenienced. We also have a very old building and experienced some issues with circuits being blown and the SSB team worked diligently to ensure our timeline and the service experience were not impacted. I can't say enough good things about the team. We had an absolutely fabulous experience and would definitely recommend to others.“

“The atmosphere is comfortable with friendly staff. The food is tasty with wonderful serving sizes; you don’t leave hungry.
I was impressed that they make their own potato chips fresh. My mother-in-law is allergic to fish and they made sure to switch out the oil and make her a batch of chips with no cross-contamination of fish. A very appreciated accommodation“

“Each visit was between the hours of 1:00pm and 6:00pm.

We’re new in town and have visited this bar three times in 1 week. Cindy is fabulous! She will order what she thinks you should eat…LOL. She mistakenly ordered us the ribs and fries basket on our first visit, and they were great! Ribs fall off the bone and fries hit and crispy! That prompted us to visit a second time for a corned beef sandwich (not a Reuben which could be mistaken for Ribs) and a hot Turkey and Swiss. The third visit was a BLT that we split. Definitely filling.

We have found our go to bar in town for watching sports on the tv. If you like to play, there are two pool tables, and two electronic dart boards. Wednesday night in the summer is sand volleyball. Maybe some other things too, but that’s all I know.

“I went to the Echo Tap over the weekend because I had a craving for a burger. I didn’t know that there was a hockey game that night so it was quite busy but our server was very nice and accommodating despite how many tables he had. But the burger I had… it was the BEST burger I’ve had in a long long time! It was cooked perfectly and the flavors were perfect. Highly highly recommend!!“

“After months battlin’ monstrous waves and outrunnin’ the devil’s own storms, I steered me mighty ship into the harbor of Madison, seekin’ refuge… and perhaps a bite that wouldn’t bite back😏. That’s when I heard whispers on the wind of a place called “City Bar” offerin’ oysters for a mere dollar each. A trick, I thought. Or sorcery!
But by the beard of Neptune, it was no lie.
I staggered in, sea-worn and salt-crusted, and what did I find? A bounty of glistening oysters laid out like pearls from a mermaid’s hoard. Each one fresh as the morning tide, briny and bold, slippin’ down the hatch smoother than a calm sea at sunrise. I devoured ‘em by the dozen, like a man who’d not seen shore in years. My belly was blundered with beer and oysters! The crew behind the bar? A lively bunch, quick with a pour. They showed no haste as I slobbered down about 50! Now this right here… this is the treasure I’ve been searching for!“

“The service here is really good. I've been coming here Saturday nights for the prime rib, and I am always satisfied. The staff is so friendly and quick, and always treat me like one of their good friends. It hasn't been too busy when we come here, so that has been nice too!“

First they have Guinness on tap they have harp on tap they have some incredible drink selections but let's go away from there and go to the food I only had the basically the fish and chips the batter was incredibly light it was not greasy it didn't detract in a fish the fish inside was amazing the chips were great decent french fries fresh as opposed to cook for 2 hours before the coleslaw was superb they've been a two slices of rye bread with it the rest of the menu looked very good it had sandwiches anywhere from 12:00 to $19 main meals anywhere from 22 to 42 or higher market price steak whatever that means in English and the appetizers look amazing so I'd recommend it if you're going to be in a first class hotel in Madison Wisconsin which isn't going to happen to everyone and barely happen to me I recommend this place it's got aesthetics and Keith and they do wear masks“

“Food is excellent. Be prepared to wait a little bit though, if they have a ton of orders their kitchen can require that. But the food (in my experience) is worth it. My favorite is their grilled chicken sandwiches. Was a favorite lunch spot of mine when I lived in Madison.

Bar half is of the place is a pretty great spot for watching games on the TV.“

“I was thinking this Tanners was the same kinda like the one I love in Appleton Wisconsin. I ordered the taco salad but it wasn't in the shell, it was basically a taco appetizer. The beef was little to not much and dry and the dressings offered was not enough for the salad. I enjoyed the service we got, but less again the taco salad was a disappointment. But the onion rings are awesome.“
