El Tlaxcalteca Restaurant is a small, authentic Mexican eatery located in Milwaukee. The decor features vibrant colors and traditional Mexican elements, creating a cozy, Mexico-like atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of classic Mexican dishes, including the popular Birria pizza and Birria quesadilla, both prepared with crispy corn tortillas and flavorful Birria meat. The Machete is also a highlight, being huge and stuffed with meat and cheese, making it enough for up to four people. Customers praise the delicious homemade salsas, such as a creamy avocado-jalapeño crema and a smoky chipotle salsa, which perfectly complement the dishes. The restaurant's guacamole is handmade on the spot and very tasty. The horchata is served in a large size and is very good. Service is attentive and meticulous, making the overall experience very positive. The restaurant is populated by locals and regulars and is very clean and well maintained. Whether craving traditional Mexican flavors or seeking a taste of Mexico, El Tlaxcalteca Restaurant is a highly recommended spot for those in the Milwaukee area.
