customer service is not what it used to be.
Hello I’m writing to you as a person who once favored this spot above all others, this recent year there has been a major decline of more than one thing, but it stand out to be the rueban. Today i was delivered, an untoasted, sauceless and lacking sauerkraut rueban, and to make it all better/worse. Terrible and nasty it’s dry the site says it come with cheese and mustard came with absolutely nothing the meat looked a week old I will not recommend this place or come back yes I have videos and pics it was horrible didn’t even eat it was of money please do not waste your money

Mae Velma's Corned Beef in Tripoli Park (Teutonia Ave) is a solid choice for late-night cravings and hearty meals. The corned beef sandwich, toasted with brown mustard on a rubber roll, is amazing and a popular pick. The catfish is a standout, tasting like it was made down South by somebody's grandma—so hot it requires chewing and breathing at the same time, and it actually tastes like catfish, not some old white fish. The seafood trio and corned beef combo are also delicious, with hot food and great service. However, some reviews note issues: the rueben roll was overpowered by cheese, like a mozzarella egg roll, and the perch dinner had fresh fries on top of old, sitting fries. A customer also asked about a surcharge when paying with cash, but the worker had no clue and couldn't reach someone to answer. Despite this, the place is GREAT from the belly-button out in every direction, with six visits in a row without a single negative.
