“We enjoyed a great fish fry at North Lake Bear Trap tonight! We tried the cod - 2 large pieces of fish with rye bread, coleslaw, tarter sauce, and chips (with upgrade choices of potato, onion rings, etc). The cod is nicely seasoned with a light beer batter. Both the sour cream and chive wedges and the crinkle fries were fried perfectly. The tarter sauce was great for dipping with bright green pickle pieces throughout. The meal was overall delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our meal with a few beers and let the atmosphere transport us to a cozy "up north" state of mind. We will be back to try more of the menu!“

“First time here yesterday 4/27/24! There was a small wait, but the wait was so worth the food! Had the bang bang shrimp and cheese curds for an appetizer and the crab rangoon flatbread for the main course! Leftovers were brought home! Great staff, awesome environment and great food! I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Have been going to Woody's since August 2021. Friendly staff, and great selections on the menu. Location is great for people who like to ride motorcycles, bicycles or car. Located on HWY 83 and routes to many other contry roads. My personal favorites are the burgers or cracked chicken. Everything is good no matter what you order.“

“This is a nice local bar in Pewaukee. ***In all fairness, my food rating is based on a frozen pizza cooked after the grill was closed. It was available and ok. If it were about ten pm and I wanted a bar pizza, I would order this again.That being said, the server was attentive and very nice. I ordered a Bloody Mary hot. It was reasonably priced and came with a nice amount of fixings. I also received a decent amount for a beer chaser.I was meeting a friend briefly as she drove through town, so we didn't explore the many things available at the bar.They had pool tables and other machines there. ( I wasn't looking too closely, I'm sorry.)I will probably plan another late meeting with my friend as she finishes her classes at WCTC.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, they have a wheelchair ramp. I did not use the facilities.“

“I have been to Backstreet quite a bit over the last 40 years I lived in Waukesha. Always pretty steady with good drinks, food and service. Their Friday fish options really cannot be matched in the area with both baked and fried and I've never had one I didn't like. I had to give a review as last Friday night we went with friends and for some reason, there was a mix up and the other 5 at the table got their food and mine didn't come. It was noticed right away and immediately I had one of the owners come and apologize and even offer me soup while I waited. It did take a little bit but what made it right for me was that she checked in yet again and our server came over as well and owned the fact that he had made a mistake. What impressed me was the fact that it was important to them to make it right. In a world where so many could care less, make excuses or just plain not acknowledge, I appreciate those who will just look you in the eye, speak the truth and apologize. It was a busy night, waiters were hopping and I appreciate what they do when I know they are putting all they have into it. I felt like I had the best dinner... No corners cut, hot and made to perfection!“

“Don't be fooled by the name. I'm rating this for what it is, a basic dive bar restaurant and they do it well. Easy to find. Plenty of parking in the rear lot. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon and it had a handful of locals there to eat and watch sports on one or more of the many TV's. Food was good, beer was cold and they were running several food specials. Bar tender was friendly as well as prompt. I will stop again when in the area.“

“I was in town for some training over at WCTC and our group decided to visit Gina's. I've never been there before....and what a treat it was. A nice clean establishment...great service and the young man who was cooking...sure knows how to make a burger. It was hot and juicy with great toppings and a pile of fries on the side....all for $10.00.....and for us teatottlers....bottomless soda....you won't be disappointed....give Gina's a try...I know I'll be back.“

“This is a step up from your typical bar and grill. Menu has a bit of an old school supper club feel to it. Staff seem experienced and well-trained. Everyone was working hard. Cozy feel to the bar seating area, but the ambiance in the separate dining room is a bit lacking. Thankfully, it offers extra seating space on a busy weekend night. I'm somewhere between 3-4 stars. Overall, pretty decent casual dining.“

“Best bartender! She always remembers what you order, even if you haven't been there for a couple months. She even tries to remember your name, and is often successful! Personable staff and a clean bar. Their happy hour is great, $4 for any draft beer with a star until 5pm, and that includes some craft beer! No complaints about the food, but it is typical fried bar food.“

“We had fun stopping in for a fish fry. The vibe is excellent (though busy on a Friday! not surprisingly), and the staff are all very friendly. The fish fry was small in portion, but yummy. And the floors are sticky, but in the friendly, and not dirty, neighborhood bar way. I am looking forward to coming back in the daylight and warmer weather for what I'm sure will be a very fun experience.“

“I don't usually leave reviews but this place hands down has the best bluegill I've ever had. It was my wife and my first time there we got there looked packed which is understandable it's Friday in Wisconsin but to our surprise they had a seat for us right away the server was super nice and fast the food was amazing and came out very fast extremely impressed they deserve 10 stars definitely recommend this place we will be back!!!“

“We've ordered take-out from here more times than I can count, and the food was always great. We decided to go out on a Friday night and eat there with a friend. The food was even better in person! Dare I say, even better than if I were at a restaurant. It was a Friday night, so the bar was pretty busy. The guy that took our order was also running the bar. And I have to say, for someone who was running around all night doing 12 tasks at the same time, he was so awesome! Always had a smile on his face and never forgot we were there. This definitely isn't a family-style atmosphere, it's a bar/restaurant. With that said, our 9 month old didn't mind, nor did we. It was a very welcoming atmosphere. There was even another toddler there too! I was iffy on eating here since I heard stories of the old Hideaway, but things have definitely changed for the better and we will 100% continue going here. Don't tell our friends at Foolery's, but I think the food here is better. Hideaway is probably our favorite place for food in Okauchee.“

“A good bar with decent food. Enjoyed the grilled salmon with a nice heep of mashed potatoes with garlic butter sauce, side of grilled veggies. I ordered a grilled shrimp skewer add-on and got 5 medium shrimp for $14. That was a major disappointment.“

“Went here on 4/13/24 Went here with a friend for lunch. Now that the days are getting warmer- they have outdoor seating. Inside is welcoming. Very clean. Laid out nicely. Many options in the menu besides burgers. We both ordered bacon Cheeseburgers. They offer up 2 choices of fries. The burgers were huge. Fresh and made to perfection. Everything was perfect. The person who waited on us did a great job for us. Rough us out beverages right away and the food came up pretty fast even tho the place was pretty busy. I met the owner. Very nice lady. This is a privately owned establishment. Love supporting local places. There is more than one of these places. I think she said there are two others? But they are all privately owned. Great place to take your family, friends or kids to. They have plenty of tv's if u want to watch a game. They also have music videos playing in some of the tv's. Great atmosphere.
