“I absolutely LOVE Bernie's. Simple, delicious menu. Extraordinary taste in every dish (I've had almost everything on their menu). Fine dining atmosphere and super friendly staff. Bernie and his family are super sweet and love their customers, making sure they are pleased with their meals. I suggest trying them out if you've never been. If it's the weekend, make a reservation!! My favorite meal is the Chicken Parm meal, sauce on the side, with mostacolli buttered, garlic noodles with garlic bread. They have Italian bread that's delicious and their cheesy bread is fantastic! I always have Pepsi, but they have wine, beer, and cocktails. Enjoy!! Also kid friendly ?Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids!!“
“Many times I go here and order pizza to reward my students for positive behavior. When I go, my food is hot and ready to go. The workers are super nice and more importantly, the place is clean!!! Thanks!!!Parking: I had no problem with parking. There was more than enough room!“
“We have been going to Mario’s for years. The food is kind of hit or miss, you have to know what to order. The Pizza Bomber is a great sandwich and I have never been disappointed with that, their Saturday night rib special used to be my favorite, I’m sad they got rid of that. Their Italian food is good too. Their prices are fair I will say that, this is mainly the reason we keep coming back. The waitress is kind of abrasive (if you know what I mean) she comes off rude but she can be friendly if you get to know her. If you have a party larger than 4 don’t expect them to move the tables for you. You will be doing the moving. The main reason for my low service rating is because the food took forever. We were there on a Sunday night (after 7pm) there was hardly anyone eating there. Of course the bar was full (hence great atmosphere) but I believe we were one of a few tables occupied. We waited over an hour for 2 burgers, a salad, and an order of stuffed shells. I think these are relatively easy dishes to make and there’s no reason it should have taken that long. There was also a group that came in and got served much quicker than we did, almost like there was some preference there. Put it this way, it will be a while before we come back.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly unless you go when the bar is not busy. The bar tends to get rowdy.“
“I'll admit, I was a little thrown off that s pizza place also had sweets, but it works! Not only that, but both are actually really good. Sauce is nice with a hint of sweetness - which works well, especially if you're getting pineapple on your pizza. Yes, pineapple DOES belong on pizza. Have had the chocolate covered Nutter Butters and the s'mores bark - VERY good! My favorite pizza place in Racine.“
“Had some delicious subs here! I'm from Kenosha and having Hungry Head close was really sad. These subs are so close to the same, it makes me so happy! Recently tried to get more and it's currently closed since they have new management. I can't wait until it's open again!“
“I’ve gotten Nonnas twice before. The first time the pizza wasn’t crispy at all and it was kind of disappointing, however the second time was much better. The sauce is awesome and crust is good when it’s crispy. Paid about $16.50 for a Large with one topping. They charge about $1 more if you pay with a card.“
“I brought my kids for a cousin's birthday party. They had never been to a Chuck E Cheese before and were fairly blown away. I didn't eat or drink since I was chasing them all but the kids liked the pizza and the swirly straws. It was a really fun kids party, the kids were engaged with the staff who were dressed in costumes. They got all fired up and ready to go wild.“
“I have not lived in Racine since the 80s. Still today, I miss the pizza from this resturant. Never since, have I ever had pizza like this family makes. We also used to go to Giovannis, so many wonderful memories of Wind Point and the west side. ❤️“
“Great pizza but the toppings are getting scarce lately so it's becoming sauce heavy. I recommend paying for tomatoes as a topping which balances it out. We also prefer the optional whole wheat crust.EDIT: In response to owners comments....I am sad to hear the wheat crust is no longer available. Also, surprisingly, I have been coming to your restaurant for over 40 years and I have never tried the thin crust. There are so many good tavern style, thin crust options in town that are superb that I always forget you have thin crust. You guys have the best "deep dish type" but I will make it a point to try the thin next time we order.“
“Great customer service and amazing pizza. If anyone from Kenosha remembers Pa's pizza on 22nd, from back in the day... This is an exact replica. The beef Italian sausage is a unique and delicious alternative to pork. It's what they used at Pa's. This pizza is equally as good when it's cold.“
“I love this place for their hours and their late night staff who save the late nights for people like me who work thru dinner and the normal close of restaurant hours. They are always so nice and friendly, even at midnight or later.PSA FOR DELIVERY: If you get delivery..tip your driver. I was there to pick up my food and the poor driver came in so defeated as he drove like 20 minutes both ways to deliver and they didn't tip him. That's rude as hell.“
“Good food. WE love there pasta, any style. Spaghetti sauce is not to sweet and the perfect topping.Atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, rarely a wait, wonderful wait staff. Prices and portions make the visit special..Wife and I truly enjoy are trips to Mike and Angelo's“
“The food was mediocre. I had a roast beef sandwich and my friend had the Ruben. We swapped halves. Neither one of the sandwiches were any good. I should have ordered a salad. The strawberry-banana "milkshake" was actually a smoothie. There wasn't any ice cream in it!“
“This is THE BEST Derangos in town! I hated working there because all the phone girls are very childish and that is not a good atmosphere period. They all need to grow up BUT THE food is very good. Good sizes I don't have 1 bad thing to say about this food. I highly recommend they get new phone girls but the most important thing is the quality of the food. Like I said I worked there. The food is all FRESH,HOMEMADE and it's very clean inside. NICE PLACE WITH GREAT FOOD!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND ORDERING GUYS. YOU WONT BE DISSATISFIED!!“
“This is our go-to pizza place in the neighborhood. They offer great deals, the ingredients are fresh, food is always hot, and it’s so quick! Once I ordered delivery and they were at my house in less than 15 minutes. I was completely blown away. Friendly and helpful staff, online ordering is easy, and great pizza! 10/10“
“Best pizza place in Racine - bar none! It's too bad the kids can't manage this one - they inherited a gold mine and I can tell you first hand how hard the family worked years ago to establish it. Now they are they are operating until it's closed. What a shame. Get your pizza while it lasts. We go to Nonna Wells now - you can eat-in at the Sturtevant location.“
“Amazing in that environment that is very unique too many bars in Racine, this part comes with family history that's over a century-long. If you're tired on waiting on food and beard and want a family-friendly environment with great customer service awesome bartender not to mention that exotic fish & all the pictures including the history with celebrities & how long it's been there thriving family owned. You used to be able to go get a good beer & burger with your kid any bar just about, nowadays we have to be safe & I felt right at home & welcomed with Grace & kindness. Not to mention. The pizza burger is the same best burger it's always been since a kid & ONLY DEMARKS BAR HAS RECIPE. Do ont be fooled By people using the name. This is not the same food. I am proud to say Demark's is a family friendly , local family owned business that has an interesting history and is still thriving highly recommended if I could give six stars I'd give.Kid-friendliness: Everybody here is somebody, everybody that I have seen here is always with their family is always a major CEO of somewhere like porcaro Ford's owner, or wells bros owners , which I also cousins, the best thing the kids going to like about it is the number one service you get, the beautiful decorations the history the pieces that are there that are not antiques everything and item that has a story with it along with pictures I love the ones of Bob Hope and how I found out that REO Speedwagon's lead singer was related to them! I love the family environment it has never been a loud violent or unsafe on family-friendly place!Parking: Parking is available on the street as well as the gravel, they even have picnic tables to eat at during nice weather. Including the umbrella shade. This is also equipped for handicapped parking. They have plenty of games for entertainment they have plenty of food, food that they are proud of and food that will leave you feeling satisfied and good especially for the low price. Demark's gets nothing but the best and there's no one else like I'm in town they're the only one that's authentic. Many copycats, but none succeeded. That recipe is just so good eat ? (sauce). You're not going to find many places like this if any whatsoever in Racine or Kenosha. They don't stay open late at night. Same bartender for 16/17 years! Happy retirement Rick!!!!Sharon (owener) has kids smiling as she she's them, she's also a Wonderful grandmother of young grandchildren. They listen. Need to talk. Have a beer or soda. Water? Let it out they'll listen. They're a family full of people with huge hearts & the gift of making mouths water just thinking of the fresh food.Wheelchair accessibility: It's on a level with ramp & they've had many wheelchair bound guest thought years. They're treated no different. showed compassion & service like everyone else gets. The parking is about 3 feet away for wheel chair handicap.“
