While visiting Milwaukee, I decided to stop by Cousins Subs instead of my usual Jersey Mike’s. I’m from out of town and wanted to try something different — and I’m glad I did. The subs here are excellent. They even talked me into trying the cheese curds, which everyone has to try when visiting Milwaukee.

The older gentleman at the register was incredibly friendly and patient with all my questions since it was my first time at Cousins. Great customer service goes a long way, and he made the experience even better.

I ordered the Wisconsin Cheesesteak (no bacon), and it was fantastic — flavorful, fresh, and cooked just right. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth the stop if you’re in Milwaukee.“

“Went for the first time today for a doggo lunch date with muh fur baby. Wonderful staff and quick service. I noticed negative reviews complaining there was dogs, well no crap it’s the business model and there’s an actual picture of a dog on the door and logo. ANYWAYS price is a little steep but when I got my food holy cow it was delicious. And I love that they have dog friendly menu items available as well. The place is super clean for the amount of guests and animals that come through. Loved that the food pickup and service area is separate from dining. The only downfall was I did pay for pickles and there wasn’t any but I didn’t even notice it until I devoured the first half of my food. No big deal. I ordered the steak sandwich and strawberry limeade which I also love is made by hand with fresh fruit. My dog is now sleeping in a food coma as am I.“

“My new spot for subs. I didn't realize how I love mines toasted. I had never tried it that way before however, from the sauce to the extra pickles I get for the crunch it was awesome. The next day even cold it was off the chain, not soggy, still hint of spicy and every bite was great for a late night snack.“

“Jersey Mike’s new Hot Italian is so good. All of their stuff is fantastic.

Genuinely nobody else is doing it like them. It’s all so high quality there. It’s succulent. No matter what it is.

And you do not want it to end while you’re eating it. A lot of places will make you feel bloated or inflamed even if the food is good. Not so, with New Jersey Michael. Cannot recommend it enough.

This location on Oakland is the best one in Milwaukee. In a peaceful area with competent cleanly workers and friendly managers.

“Food was fresh. UPDATE!!!!! 5/3/26 ordered a hot ham and cheese on Parmesan Aisgo bread. As you can see from the picture that is not the bread that I ordered and that’s the second sub. The first one was cold and I asked for A hot Sub. When I brought the sub back, nobody apologized nothing. These subs are not five and six dollars a half inch Sub is running every bit of 10. “The in-house team at this Subway station in Oak Creek is super friendly and fast. My order was bit tricky as I wanted a Vegan sandwich, and I was taking a bit time of my own , but they were very helpful and made a really good sandwich for me. Even during their busy hour.
Happy to see business owners and employees being welcoming and caring towards their customers after a long time.

“Ordered pick up online. Arrived early and aplogies given despite I was few minutes early, they were also in dinner rush. Waited on side in lot for drive through pick up. Manager came out apologies for wait...needed family size chips for my order and they were out but said he would CHECK THE DELIVERY in process and find the box or make it right! Customer service impeccable for this. Food delicious...cold food cold and fresh hot food fresh and piping.

“I order for delivery from JJ all the time. It always arrives quickly, made correctly, and tastes great. I always get their veggie sandwich; not because I am a vegetarian, but because they are the only place that makes a tasty veggie sub! Their service is fine for their other sandwiches, but other places make equally good ham, beef, or turkey sandwiches so they don't stand out. But their veggie sub? Delicious, and nobody else has anything like it.“

“The food and service is amazing even with only 2 people most of the time with great pizza, footlongs, and sandwiches. The atmosphere is very dull and bad with no music or noise since most people don’t eat inside. They also accept every app that I can think of that delivers.

Vegetarian options: Subway is very vegetarian friendly but I’m not vegetarian but I worry about cross contamination since employees don’t change gloves and keep meat and vegetables next to each other.

Dietary restrictions: You don’t have to worry about dietary restrictions since you make your own sandwich but if you have a deadly allergy I don’t recommend since cross contamination.

Parking: Very easy to find a parking lot but might have to walk a bit.

Kid-friendliness: As long as you keep your kid under control it should be fine and is very kid friendly as the workers are very understanding.“

“The young lady that used to be pregnant was so sweet for my first visit!! She helped me build my sandwich and explained to me every part of the process! I was nervous walking in because I am autistic but she helped me get a footlong and I was able to walk away happy and full :) will definitely be returning to this location“

I've been getting Subway for decades now all from a wide range of locations, since Subway is a very large and well known restaurant and I will admit there are a few locations that barely reach 3 stars within the "Subway" franchises. Luckily, at 98% of my home States have all been 4 stars or more. I usually call ahead, place my order for specific pick up time. I've been going nearly every day for several years to a handful of locations and they top 3 are my 1st places to call.
