“My granddaughter (an adult) and I ate outside here one evening. Our server, August, was just amazing. We were here over 2 hours and although we had both been to Italy this was one of the best meals we ever had. We had 5 courses and August did not rush us explaining each of our dishes and answering our questions thoroughly. It was simply a delightful experience. We have been singing the praises of this restaurant since we left. You won’t be disappointed and will want to go back just as we would like to return. Rustica salad is unique and you just want to keep eating it and the veal ossobuco oh my. My granddaughter and I agreed that we are sorry we couldn’t try everything and hope to find a way to return. Thank you for such a lovely experience.”

I have a lot of food restrictions and the Umi menu is great because I can find food that I can actually eat! My family loves it there and you can tell Cynthia and her team love their jobs and they treat you like family!”

“The best fresh cocktails in town! We've loved going to Urbane for their pear mojitos and food options, so we took our bridal party there for cocktail hour! The staff is always so professional, and make the best cocktails. Additionally, the bartenders always get creative with mocktails and they exceed expectations each time. The bar was decorated so beautifully for Christmas, it was the perfect stop for our bridal party before our reception. Thank you for having us!”

“This is the best Indian Restuarant in Sheboygan. There are two locations, one downtown and one on the far southside. Both are very nice venues. We think the one on the southside has slightly better food, most likely due to different chefs, but both are very good. It is nice to have beer, wine or cocktails available at both restaurants, unlike the ones associated with gas stations. Take out is available at the Spice's restaurants and there is a steady flow of customers picking up their food. One can order food 1 to 5 on level of spiciness. We especially like the Samosas, the Chicken Tikka Massala and Tandoori Chicken.”

“The food is very good, but service is hit or miss. Unfortunately my last trip has soured mine and my bf’s experience and pushed us to Jersey Mike’s instead. There is a younger crowd that works there that is great, but if the older gentleman is at the counter I won’t even come in. On my last trip in, he was rude and didn’t seem like he wanted us in there. Rushing us, rudely making verbal corrections to how I was ordering…when it came time to pay the chip in my card wouldn’t work for some reason..(never had that issue before or since….) he had to enter the card number by hand, and….*in the middle of a busy restaurant!!!* he read out the full card number & expiration date. He was about to say the security code but luckily someone else working stopped him & said it wasn’t needed. Luckily I don’t think anyone was paying enough attention…but not cool either way.”

I like them moist and fresh, after too long they get hard, which is fair because it's easy to moisten in an oven with a wet cloth. They're not bad soggy though, so, sometimes I get lazy and just dip them in a bowl of water if I left them on the counter too long”

“I didn't think this place would be good when my friend pointed it out for lunch. It looks like a little hole in the wall tavern.

But he convinced me to get dinner there last night and WOW, I'm glad that I listened to him!!

It was packed with people, some drinking, some eating and some playing darts or video games. Several high top tables were in the main area and most were filled. Surprised to see so many people on a Thursday night.

There's also a small dining area in the back of the bar with regular dining tables. This area was much quieter.

Someone took our drink order almost immediately and brought us menus. Lots of choices, a lot different than just burgers.

We weren't that hungry, so we split a sandwich, the special that night which was a grilled cheese sandwich with 3 different cheeses, avocado, bacon, arugula and some type of sauce. It was a pretty big sandwich, so even splitting it in half gave us a generous portion. The sandwich came with a choice of sides, we chose the pasta salad (bowtie pasta, salami, avocado, and some other stuff) . It was pretty good, but I'm not a big fan of pasta salad so my friend ate most of it.
I also had a cup of the soup of the day, Creamy Tomato Soup. It was perfect with the grilled cheese sandwich.

We also split an appetizer, Arrancini (sp?) which was 3 huge balls of a fried rice mixture served with a white sauce and grated cheese. Super yummy! We ended up taking 1 of them home (along with half of my 1/2 sandwich) because we were just too full.

I would definitely go here again. The menu has a lot to offer and the daily special and soups seem like they will be good.

I've heard of several groups that come here for lunch every week. I might just have to start coming here on a regular basis too Yes, my meal was THAT good.”

The atmosphere and the people were friendly and the epitome of the old fashioned corner bar. The food was bar food on a new level and incredibly reasonably priced. For two sandwiches, an appetizer basket and three Crown Royal drinks, it was just $41-an incredible deal! You can’t go wrong with J&J’s! Highly recommended!”

“We hit several bars on a recent trip up to see the Packers and this was our favorite. Blake our bartender really rocked both nights (even though he is a Cowboys fan...lol). He also whipped us up some delicious pub food Sunday night after the game as we watched my Colts play in a mess in SF. He made our trip so much more enjoyable! “Pros; Great food! Absolutely LOVE their burgers and fries! They also always have a friendly staff and customer service in person is always great. Dining room area is always clean.

Cons; Their app is terrible. It’s klunky, and order times are only every 15 minutes. I ordered 10:36am, it only allowed me to order for 11:00am at the earliest. Came to the store at 10:50 and they hadn’t received my order. I would expect to be able to place my order at home, make the 10 minute drive to the store and my food to be ready when I arrive. That is not the case. Not to the fault of the people working here, the ordering system on the app is just poor. I would have been better off placing my order in the drive thru. They advertise that you should “skip the line and order online”, but it’s definitely less efficient.

Don’t mess with the app, ordering a head doesn’t make it any quicker. Come to the store itself, ordering in the drive thru and you’ll have a much better experience.”

The register system keyboard was disgustingly dirty, along with the computer. If it is going to be on the front counter where people come in, it should be clean. Some of the pizza was cold, and the chicken legs were still red in the center. Overall cleanliness was way down. It definitely needs a good cleaning, dusting and scrubbing. Especially when in view of the customers. If it is that dirty on the floor, I cannot imagine what it looks like in the kitchen. Won't be back for a long time.”

He checked back with them often, and took the time to physically go to the salad bar himself and prepare a salad and extras for the couple. He really didn’t have to do that. It was busy and arguable the couple had an order placed and I suppose could have skipped the salad. In today’s environment it was refreshing to see someone caring for their customer like this! However, both lunch dishes (shrimp lo mein and egg fu young) were greasy, and without flavor except for an odd (maybe old) cooking oil taste. Plus, there was a plastic shard in my crab rangoon. This was a favorite place for takeout, food was always flavorful, tasted fresh, and delivery service was terrific. It's still warm and barely touched, if I felt better, I would drive it back. :(”
