“So first off I already LOVED CBC . From the drinks, muffins, cakes, etc. The customer service is always on point, and the place is always clean.

Today I came in to have my daughter fill out an application for our favorite neighborhood coffee/food/ and good service shop. After filling out the application we had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Estephanie today.

CBC knows what they’re doing when they hire. Estephanie is the perfect person for management. During the conversation she was transparent about the position, the expectations, the moral, the goal, and the obstacles that may come. The conversation alone is one that I believe most kids coming into the workforce with no experience needs to hear. My daughter walked out of the business with a better understanding of what to expect from any job and how she needs hard work, understanding, good communication, and confidence to succeed .

“My favorite steak in town…. “Steak au Poivre” can be found at this great French restaurant (French not not haughty) in Wauwatosa. Favorite steak as it tastes great, and presented well. Sliced on an angle and sauced with a red wine black peppercorn reduction, it has just enough char on the outside to balance the medium rare I love inside. Along with taste, I love that it comes with my fav vegetables-haricot vertes and absolutely perfect French fries! So unlike popular steak restaurants, at LaReve you get more than just meat for the list price! Yum + Yay! The desserts? They are as gorgeous as they are delicious! The case is filled with sweet perfection, each one more beautiful than the next! Just so hard to pick which on.! And the macrons are iconic-crisp outside and soft chewy inside, take a few home with you! But what a treat to find a Kir Royale on the menu last night at dinner before a show! I’m sure it’s a direct effect of Emily in Paris Season 3, but maybe I just never noticed it on the menu before! I served these for Christmas ten years ago and when I saw Emily working on an ad campaign, I just knew they’d start to show up on menus soon. Lucky me! Bon Appetite! This place is great for a girls lunch or business lunch, A friends dinner or date night!“

“Stopped at another Triple D place. Comet's Cafe is in downtown Milwaukee. If you weren't looking for it, you might miss it. For drinks, we ordered the East Side of Manhattan and the Sage thyme daiquiri. The drinks were nice and strong. We shared a Comet club on sourdough, fries, and a side of bacon. The sandwich was just a sandwich, but we really liked the fries and bacon. Our server was nice and attentive.“

“I tried 2 tasty warm items today a feta and spinach pastry and a chicken croquette. I would say these are some of the tastiest things I have tried in a long time. Flaky pastry with a buttery taste and a croquette with the chicken that was so flavorful! What a lovely place. They also offered other warm items, pastries and a lovely seating area and free internet. I will come again. Perfect for coffee, small groups, families or to do work on the computer.“

“Visiting from England there was only one brewery tour that we were definitely doing and it was the PBR one! The tour is really interesting, our guide at 12 on Friday the 16th of May (sorry I forgot your name) was awesome, was a knowledgeable machine when it came to PBR. Wonderful stories and plenty of beer, Jim the owner was a great guy too, not as great as his wife who managed to get the football (soccer) on tv so I could watch Aston Villa ✅ Absolutely awesome place, plenty of cool merch in the shop too.“

“This place gets an A+ for creativity on their seasonal drink menu. I came one afternoon while visiting the area and went with the hot honey latte. It was excellent -- good noticeable amount of spice and not overwhelmingly sweet. They clearly make their drinks with care; it's an art to them, and it shows. We sat for at least an hour. It's a good space to soak up with natural light, outlets, and a good amount of seating inside. The pastries and toasts looked pretty good, too. I'd go out of my way to come back next time I'm in the area.“

“First time at Anadyne. This is what a expect from a good coffee shop. Personal and friendly baristas, a good selection of coffees, lattes and teas, a reasonable offering of various fresh baked items and pastries, and a subdued atmosphere where you can have a quiet conversation.

This location is medium size shop, with a long bar like counter for ordering. It has some natural light from large windows in the front, and some more windows in the rear. You can find seating both inside at small tables, or outside on cafe size tables. (the back is secluded which would be nice on a warmer day).

On this visit, I ordered a London Fog Latte, and tried one of their fresh Cinnamon Knots with Icing. They did a great job with the London Fog (little vanilla, little lavender, extra foam). First time trying the Cinnamon Knot, which they warmed up. I really enjoyed all of the dough layers, with generous amounts of cinnamon. (The icing itself was more of a distraction, it was hard and simply flaked off).

From the looks/sounds of things, there are many regulars that stop in for quick up or mug refill. Lots of friendly chatter happening throughout. It appears to be a local favorite.

Plus, today, some artists were selling their wares, so it was fun to see what was there! From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the inviting atmosphere and aesthetic of the shop, with its thoughtful layout and local artwork that really enhanced the vibe. “Anodyne ended up being the perfect wedding venue for us. The rustic meets modern downtown coffee shop vibes were just what we were looking for. Let me tell you, this place is nice during the day, but at night this place comes alive with the string lights, moody mirrors, and classic radio wall. My husband and I took moments throughout the night to just around and admire the dreaminess of the venue. We received so many compliments about the bartenders and the venue coordinator Erica. The bartenders were super friendly and fast, and one of them even told us at the end of the night how much fun they had too! Erica was AMAZING to work with throughout the year and a half of planning. From the very first email to the last goodbye at the end of the wedding, she was the reason that everything ran so smoothly. We had multiple meetings with her leading up to the wedding, and she was helpful and accommodating every time. She told us that her goal was for us to enjoy our day and not sweat the small things, and that's exactly what she did! We held the ceremony and the reception there, and the transition after the ceremony was seamless and took less than ten minutes. Erica and her staff also set up all of our decor. We left the decor with her the day before the wedding, and when we walked up the stairs into Anodyne everything was set up the way we imagined it. No, better than we imagined! They went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend Anodyne if you're getting married in Milwaukee!“

Ordering was easy, communication was open & our order was beyond perfect. We ordered the biggest breakfast charcuterie board which was a huge hit with all the varieties of baked goods, & fun layout. The variety of mini quiches were delicious & the perfect portion sizes for a buffet style brunch. Also easy to serve. Cheesy potatoes & the French toast bake were so good I wish I ordered more for leftovers. Not a crumb was left behind. We will absolutely be going to & catering with Green Baked Goods again. 10/10 recommend this family owned business. Tried a number of different breakfast items (including French toast, yogurt/fruit, breakfast sandwiches and muffins). Each one was delicious. Service was friendly and quick for how busy they were. I had the ribs which were done perfectly and meaty!\nThey came with corn bread(I usually don't like but this was delicious and warm.) Cole slaw and Mac and cheese, which were very good also. My husband had the Thursday night pork dinner special. That came with a large side salad, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and wonderful crusty bread. We both enjoyed ourselves very much! The goat cheese appetizer was a bit shocking -- very strong cheese with a concentrated tomato jam, but it you ate in spread over the bread it was enjoyable. The dumplings in the chicken and dumpling soup were injected with some strong weird flavor I could not place; they were not good. However the soup itself was delicious. The chocolate dessert came covered in salted caramel crumbs and pistachio ice cream. If you ate the dessert together it was interesting, but the chocolate base was the star of the show. And the cocktails... All the flavors were strong; most of them were good.“
