The food takes a while (10-15 min) to come out compared to a typical concessions spot, but you can sit outside on the patio and enjoy the incredible view of Lake Michigan - worth the wait!“

“There is 3 young gentlemen that work in the South Milwaukee, WI drive thru and are the 3 most respectful younger people i have seen at any mcdonalds, since i have worked there. Smiling, saying have a great day, and making small conversation with you. and when there was a problem with a drink one actually said, "sorry mam did you want ice in that one?" i dont know their names but thank you for making mcdonalds better with 3 young respectful gentlemen. i really enjoy just going through on the weekends especially just because they are so kind.“

“Came in on my break. Was welcomed in and chose a seat with a view away from people. Ordered the B.L.T.A. with fries. It was a serious sandwich and the fries were good. Service was friendly but slow, and my table and the ones around me were dirty. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others. Especially for the outdoor seating when the weather is nice. That’s a strong selling point for me.

The cheese curds,burrata, octopus and royal eggs provide a wonderful introduction to what turns out to be a very special culinary event. House made desserts like the triple chocolate cake and crème brûlée are excellent. We have tried almost everything on the menu and are always extremely satisfied with the entire experience.“

Onion rings were hot with a firm dense crust. My friend and I were almost in disbelief. Staff was incredibly polite. Clientele, (place was packed), were well-mannered. that is cut into two portions and is wrapped separately. Sandwich and wedges were served piping hot. Quality meat on the sandwich that was not greasy at all. Bread was toasted and the wedges were seasoned and battered. I was not disappointed.“

If we are going to meet for dinner or brunch, chances are good I’m dragging you to Layman’s. I appreciate the skill and work these two put into brewing great beer and making yummy food. The fishfry with that tartar sauce is the best. Smash burgers for breakfast yes please! The bartenders are always crafting some delicious cocktails, and I mean crafting. If you’re still on the fence once Sarah comes around and entices you with her apple pie, you’ll be hooked! The drink options were very varied and eclectic. I scored a lovely beer from Oregon that I don't usually see out and about and I was pleased by the option.

I was just there and it was impossible to cut the fish it was piled on top of my ff so I had to pick up and dip into the tarter sauce.“
