“First time dining here. Great food and atmosphere. On a side note… To a beautiful lady. You were the beautiful woman dining—maybe with your mom—at “a restaurant by the river”. We locked eyes, shared a smile, and you held the door for me as we walked out. I wanted to introduce myself but got a little nervous. When you turned around after walking away, I knew I missed my chance. If you see this, I’d love a second one.“

“I want to start this review saying that I sure hope the manager that's Not Steven doesn't treat the employees like he treated us. We were headed to our hotel when other hockey team members called and said they were headed to Nitty-gritty to eat. We had seen the ads at the hockey rink and turned around and were the first ones there. I walked in and Not Steven asked how many. I explained I thought about 20-25 from our team were coming. He told us that he could not accommodate all of us in one area, that he had several teams coming in that had set reservations. He told us we should have made reservations months ago and made us feel like a complete inconvenience. I had never been to Sun Prairie and wouldn't have any idea of that. We waited for our friends and eventually Steven moved us together, after Not Steven seemed to go out of his way to spread us across the whole building. I'm so glad that we did not just leave due to the way we were treated by Not Steven. Our server was Joe I believe. He was attentive and polite and did a wonderful job. Honestly all the other staff seemed happy to be there and seemed to enjoy working there. The food was fast, tasted wonderful, and was very well put together. We ordered a few different things. The nachos had great ground meat that wasn't greasy gross. The flatbread was well made. Everything else was great also. The price for the plate size was good also. It's a shame that my first and lasting impression is of how inconvenient we were to Not Steven. I do want to note that, while we were there, I never saw any part of any of the other teams there. There did seem to be a small gathering of adults at one time but no other teams. I truly hope the manager doesn't treat his amazing team the way he treated new customers. Also, Steven was wonderful and was very welcoming.“

“I wanted to recognize Will for great customer service. When I went through the drive-thru, he accidentally forgot to hand me my ice cream cone at the payment window. Instead of waiting until my food was ready or hoping I wouldn't notice, he actually ran outside to bring me my cone while I was waiting.
As he handed it to me, he noticed it had started dripping. He immediately ran back inside, grabbed some napkins, and then ran back out to make sure I had them before I left. It was such a small gesture, but it really stood out to me. He could have easily handed me the cone and walked away, but he took the extra step to make sure I wasn't stuck with a melting, messy ice cream cone. Thanks, Will!“

“I rarely make reviews but Makenzie and Louis were so amazing today I have to give them a shout out! They were clearly super busy and the way I saw them hustling to get everyone served was incredible they always had a smile while being so apologetic for the wait!“

“Great classic Wisconsin custard stand food made fresh. Very consistent from location ro location. We like curdside delivery. Just pull into one of the labeled parking spots, download and order from the app, and in a few minutes they march the food right out to your car.“

“I’m rating today 5 stars. Now it’s not always this way, however the boy working today deserves a raise. My royal ultimate choco brownie blizzard was the best thing i’ve ever had. He loaded that thing up. It made my day. His customer service…not great but he’s got free pass due to the quality of this blizzard.“
