“Updating my review because this restaurant saved my life during the lockdown. They are fast, always get my orders right, and have some really delicious things on the menu. I think my experience below was uncommon. Their egg drop soup is delicious, their fried rice and noodle dishes are flavorful and delicious. They put a lot of pork and chicken into the dishes if you order one of those. Maybe don't get shrimp, but do eat here!Ordered the Mongolian shrimp and got literally 6 shrimp and a bunch of onions. Don't get shrimp from them; it's a rude rip-off. That is not Mongolian shrimp, even by low American standards.“

“Takeout last night was great like always. Pork dumplings are a family favorite! We’ve frequented both locations throughout the years, taken noodle and dumpling making classes and had catering done. Always great food and love how Hong and her staff are always warm and welcoming. They recognize customer loyalty by remembering their patrons.“

“One of the best food places in Madison. For a cheap price you get a very big portion of food. My personal favorites are the Bar-B-Q Chicken, General Tso Chicken, Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs, and Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables. Thank you QQ Express for accompanying me throughout university 🙏“

“Its one of the best chinese places I have ever been to. And I have been to a lot of them. Second only to a place that has closed down.
I have been all over since college trying places and this place has the best flavor and tenderness of rice and such when I order. I havent gotten that from Happy Wok, China Wok or any other such place.“

“This place is just amazing. Takeout, dine in, either way. It's always delicious and fresh. They know what they are doing and they do it well. They're also one of the only restaurants, that i've been to, doesn't overcook their shrimp.“

“5 star Chinese food? No, but they’re super fast and the food is consistent. The shrimp dishes are actually better than average for a cheap, fast, Americanized Chinese restaurant (the shrimp are big and properly cooked!). My wife likes it better than Taigu (I disagree) but happy wife = happy life so this is our go-to when “Let’s get Chinese” is the answer to “What’s for dinner”.“

“One of my grandma's favorites. She hadn't had it in awhile and she was like a little kid eating it this last weekend. Her face lit up, she ate way too much, and you could just feel the joy as she enjoyed her meal. Thank you to Change Jiang for giving us this moment together as a family.“

“I moved to Madison in 2020 and haven’t found good general tso. I’ve tried so many different places and each time it’s over breaded chicken in some sauce that doesn’t taste right. I thought I was stuck with Hyvee Chinese until I’d go back home to my mom & pop shop. Holy moly! This is the spot. Hands down the best general tso ive had in Madison yet! 10/10. Crispy, delicious and fresh!“

“11/23 update. Had the Dragon & Phoenix chef special and it was really good. I didnt think it was hot or spicy as they said it was.. but it was good. I will order it again. Quality Chinese for restaurant.Original post: It is classic Chinese food, but made well. Nothing special about it. I'm glad to have a Chinese restaurant near my little town.“

“We don’t have much places in Milwaukee that specifically does dim sum. This is my go to place in Madison for all you can eat dim sum and for their other dishes as well. Me and my sisters love this place. The dim sum is always so good! The other dishes are just as good. I definitely recommend their soup dumpling and garlic green beans.“

“Recently found this place and ate here a few times, could become my favorite restaurant on campus soon. The food is spectacular and they give good portions that last about 2 meals. I do wish that they included a drink in with their meal since the place is just a little pricy. The atmosphere inside is pretty friendly and is a great spot to chill out and take a break. Overall its a fantastic place, just really wish they charged a tad bit less or included a drink.“
“Found this hidden gem randomly. Food is delicious and authentic. The server is super friendly but she does not speak English. You can order by number as shown on menu. Free soft drink comes with the dishes for each person. Cheaper pricing than other Chinese restaurants nearby. Will definitely come back to try more dishes!“

“Nice atmosphere, the servers were very friendly and attentive. The Pork Blood, Beef Stomach and Soybean Sprout Stew wasn’t for me personally, but still tasted very good, and the Ox Tongue with Tripe Chili Sauce was amazing.
The only slight criticism I have is that the portion sizes are ludicrously huge. Seriously, if you’re thinking of eating here, bring some friends because a bowl of that stew could feed a family of 6.“

“December 3, 2024, I ate at World Buffet and was greeted when I came in, was taken to my table and brought me my beverage. The food was hot, delicious and well displayed. I very much enjoy the staff and will be going back.“

“Well, this is heavily sauced Chinese food! Which I like. Madisons Chinese food scene is either authentic and greasy or Hyvee and dry. This place is a nice change. Reminds me of my middle American hometown saucey goodness. I did get their Szechuan tofu - it was a level 1-2, but a little too spicy for me. The tofu was a soft tofu, which I thought was unique and yummy. But if you're not sure you like tofu soft, talk with them. I also like the sautéed veggies with lo main: so good.
Parking: Not a sit down“

“Great local Chinese restaurant. My go-to for Chinese food. Wish they would bring back water chestnuts into their meals, though.“
