“This place dipped in quality for a while but I was impressed this time around. The price is still more than we can afford frequently but this trip felt worth it.Vegetarian options: Neither the veggie sandwich (toppings on a bun) nor grilled cheese are really worth the price but they're tasty enough.Kid-friendliness: Good environment for kids. The peanuts are fun.Dietary restrictions: I'm lactose intolerant and allergic to pork and have never had an issue. I don't think a lot of effort is put in to avoid cross-contamination though.“
“I have been going to Martino's since I was a little boy. My dad took me there when I was very young. I lived a lot closer then, however, I don't miss a chance to go now. Anytime I am in the area I will stop and get a Chicago style hot dog. It is the best I've ever had! The service is always fantastic, the people always friendly, and the food quality is second to none.“
“I usually do take out at Sammy’s. There’s usually a great number of customers and many do take out, but the dining area is not neglected because many customers take advantage of that, too.The counter staff is always so pleasant, ready to help with orders and peppering in welcoming small talk. The wait time is phenomenal, given the large numbers of customers who are ordering. The food is delicious and well worth the prices charged. I’ve had many menu items but my favorite is their Italian Beef Combo sandwich, which is an Italian beef sausage AND loose Italian beef on an Italian bun, with or without cheese, mushrooms and peppers added. All the sandwiches I’ve had at Sammy’s are filling and I don’t have a complaint about any.“
“We stopped in on a busy Saturday around noon. Judging from the parking lot we were hesitant to go in as we were on a schedule, but the service inside was fantastic! We didn't wait more than 10 minutes from the time we walked in the door to the time we were eating our food. It was faster than "fast food" and MUCH more tasty. The fries are amazing. And the root beer? I mean it's why we went in the first place. And it did not disappoint.I hadn't been to A&W in years, but this is going to become a regular stop.“
“Milwaukee landmark! As good as always! We’ve been in town visiting, and have ended the night there the last few days. The staff had been extremely fun, friendly, happy, and inviting. It’s the same two ladies every night, and we are basically besties at this point. The chili itself is good. You can get different spice levels, and add cheese, onion, sour cream, and jalapeños if you want.My buddy got a dog and loved it. The chili is served over pasta, so it is very filling. They also add beans to it.At the end of the day, it’s a post bar eatery. Don’t expect white table cloths.Oh, don’t throw crackers! It doesn’t end well“
“A bit pricey, but well worth the experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. It really shows that they have a passion for what they do. Mochi drinks with Boba were a real experience . And the bakery items are amazing. Try the Tornado Potatoes while you are here... delish!!!“
