“I finally got around to trying this place. I came here about quarter to noon on a Thursday. Initially, it was not busy at all. For some reason after I got my food, it became extremely busy, like people were waiting for tables to eat at. They have a bathroom or two, you have to go through the back of the kitchen. The parking lot when it’s not super busy is spacious. I think they have about 9 tables, give or take. I ordered the Italian beef (dipped, hot peppers on the side, sweet peppers on top, and mozzarella cheese) and the original famous hot dog. I got a large Pepsi but it was jumbo size compared to most places.

The Italian beef was very juicy. The giardiniera is mildly hot, not as hot as what people say. I liked that they gave me a ton of cheese and the sweet peppers were large. This is the real gem not the hot dog in my book. The original hot dog had a nice bite to it but it wasn't amazing. The fries were hand cut and crunchy. They give you a moderate amount of fries. Service was very friendly and fast. 4.4 on Google is more accurate to the experience than the 3.5 on Yelp.“

If the Ritz and glamor of the typical eateries in wheeling and Deerfield don't fit your budget, this place is ready to serve you a hot delicious meal without breaking the bank. I can't remember the last time I spent less than $10 on a polish sausage meal, much less eating out in general, but The Dog Walk filled me up without emptying my pockets. “Great food, fun atmosphere with games, and very nice people. We had a random craving for a Korean corn dog so we found this place on Google. Ordered two corn dogs (hot Cheetos and sweet potato), beef bulgogi, and the chicken sandwich with sweet and spicy sauce. Everything was delicious! Tip: get a beef corn dog filling. I ordered the sweet potato with cheese filling and it was good but it would have been better with the actual dog. Will come here again!“

Quality ingredients, not chintzy with the onion, tomato. Great gyro sauce. Not a big Fry fan, but as they were out of mushrooms, onion rings, tater tots, etc we got the Fries. The Fries were surprisingly good. Friendly and efficient workers on phone and picking up our order.“

I miss the ice cream bar in which they dipped the ice cream bar in chocolate and added chopped nuts. That was so good. I wish they would bring that back.“

As we drove away and we check ed our order, we realized that we were sorted two pieces of chocolate cake. So now I had to waste my time going back into the restaurant to get the cake that they shorted us. They might want to do a better job of filling the order's correctly. Also they had a combination meal sign there but yet the prices are exactly the same as individual purchases. So what's the point of having that there? Even the lady taking the order admitted that there's no discount on these combination meals. Is portilos that greedy that they can't afford to give like a 3-5% discount on these combination meals to give people a little value for the expensive food they buy there?“

I was skeptical at first but they have been in business for 40 years at this airport location and are going strong. We got Chicago Dogs and Fries and I am so glad we didn't go for a chain.“
