“This place is awesome! They have a good seating area, nice & clean, and the barista who made our drinks made them so well. The barista was also clearly a very hard worker and doing a lot, and that shows in the way the store looks and feels. I work at a different Caribou in MN and am hard to impress but this one was amazing. Nice work! <3“

“I now come here almost daily. They have the best espresso in Milwaukee and I drink their Americano black. I changed it up today and got a pumpkin spice latte, and it came out SO PRETTY!

Lake Effect is separate from the church but they do partner with others in the community including a Macha pop up, and they even allowed me to do a little pop up to celebrate AAC awareness month!

I can't forget to mention their awesome bakery, with some muffins and cookies baked in house and their tasty treats from City Market and Carries Crispies!“

I’m so excited to be here and I’m loving it. Come visit the shop and meet myself and my greeter, Buddy who is my lovable Burnedoodle. The shop includes a gallery area with unique handmade items created by local artists. Another area is set up as a boutique with women’s clothing, handmade from a several countries purchase through fair trade, a shoe line and many accessories and jewelry. All handmade, artistic and cultural in fashion. And of course the upper level is layed out with vintage, re-purpose an upcycled items mixed with vintage and current artwork. “We’ve gone twice in the last few days so hopefully I recount all the items we’ve tried so far and name them correctly lol. Biscuits and gravy! This is the best I’ve ever had. The biscuit was thick and hearty but not dry, and the gravy was absolutely the best I’ve tasted. Homemade comfort at its finest—rich and savory with a fantastic flavor. I look forward to the next time, and I just finished eating it. The almond matcha cookie—I’m not normally a matcha fan, but this cookie was intriguing. It started with a thin, crispy almost sugar cookie flavor outer layer at first, then the almond flavor shines through. Not overly sweet just a good thick, soft cookie. The butterscotch blondie— you can really taste the butter. It was the first sweet I tried here, and it immediately got me hooked. The Oreo blondie—my kid devoured it before I could even take a bite. The egg sandwich on sourdough with sausage was good. I added the homemade chili oil which I got on the side, as I’m sometimes a wimp with spice, but this chili oil is so flavorful I’d put it on everything. So if I order a cookie with a side of chili oil you just nevermind- I might need some of this to keep on hand. It adds a nice bite without overpowering the other flavors—just the right amount of heat. The fluffernutter cookie—what?!! yes, definitely try it! Obv Carrot cake bites -carrot cake yes frosting yes - I need more. Everything we’ve tasted so far has been excellent. You can tell it’s homemade, the flavors come through clearly, and it’s just comforting, delicious food. Can I add that the people working there have gone above and beyond and truly enjoy what they do and this place! They are the best food consultants :) they spent so much time with us explaining the items and it got me to try some things I might not have otherwise. Oh and the building itself - the space has a great warm friendly vibe.“

The tour is really interesting, our guide at 12 on Friday the 16th of May (sorry I forgot your name) was awesome, was a knowledgeable machine when it came to PBR. Wonderful stories and plenty of beer, Jim the owner was a great guy too, not as great as his wife who managed to get the football (soccer) on tv so I could watch Aston Villa ✅ Absolutely awesome place, plenty of cool merch in the shop too.“

“Stopped at another Triple D place. Comet's Cafe is in downtown Milwaukee. If you weren't looking for it, you might miss it. For drinks, we ordered the East Side of Manhattan and the Sage thyme daiquiri. The drinks were nice and strong. We shared a Comet club on sourdough, fries, and a side of bacon. The sandwich was just a sandwich, but we really liked the fries and bacon. Our server was nice and attentive.“

“First time here at the new location. I have been to Caribou Coffees before, but mainly in Minneapolis. I liked the inside lay out. Different areas for seating, and a well defined area for ordering. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I was interested in a special London Fog Latte. They did their best, but don't have Lavender Syrup. The drink could have used more foam (which I asked for), and was just "okay".

We sat outside on the patio. Unfortunately, it's pretty close to Capitol Drive which was busy and noisy.

There are plenty of other coffee shop choices that are better than this one.“

“This place gets an A+ for creativity on their seasonal drink menu. I came one afternoon while visiting the area and went with the hot honey latte. It was excellent -- good noticeable amount of spice and not overwhelmingly sweet. They clearly make their drinks with care; it's an art to them, and it shows. We sat for at least an hour. It's a good space to soak up with natural light, outlets, and a good amount of seating inside. The pastries and toasts looked pretty good, too. I'd go out of my way to come back next time I'm in the area.“

“Passed through on a whim while in MKE and I'm so glad we did!! It's a cute space with indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff and delicious food! I can't remember the exact name of what I ordered, but it had "gas station" in the title and it was a sausage breakfast sandwich with apricot jam and oh my lord, I had to ask a staff member if I could take a picture of the jam that they use so I could get some for myself.“

Kinship Cafe has exceptional food. My go to is the Southwest Veggie Bowl with extra roasted sweet potatoes. The tangy, creamy, and spicy sauces for the salad are bursting with flavor, yet they don't overpower the tastes of the bowl ingredients.

“First time at Anadyne. This is what a expect from a good coffee shop. Personal and friendly baristas, a good selection of coffees, lattes and teas, a reasonable offering of various fresh baked items and pastries, and a subdued atmosphere where you can have a quiet conversation.

This location is medium size shop, with a long bar like counter for ordering. It has some natural light from large windows in the front, and some more windows in the rear. You can find seating both inside at small tables, or outside on cafe size tables. (the back is secluded which would be nice on a warmer day).

On this visit, I ordered a London Fog Latte, and tried one of their fresh Cinnamon Knots with Icing. They did a great job with the London Fog (little vanilla, little lavender, extra foam). First time trying the Cinnamon Knot, which they warmed up. I really enjoyed all of the dough layers, with generous amounts of cinnamon. (The icing itself was more of a distraction, it was hard and simply flaked off).

From the looks/sounds of things, there are many regulars that stop in for quick up or mug refill. Lots of friendly chatter happening throughout. It appears to be a local favorite.

“Anodyne ended up being the perfect wedding venue for us. The rustic meets modern downtown coffee shop vibes were just what we were looking for. Let me tell you, this place is nice during the day, but at night this place comes alive with the string lights, moody mirrors, and classic radio wall. My husband and I took moments throughout the night to just around and admire the dreaminess of the venue. We received so many compliments about the bartenders and the venue coordinator Erica. The bartenders were super friendly and fast, and one of them even told us at the end of the night how much fun they had too! Erica was AMAZING to work with throughout the year and a half of planning. From the very first email to the last goodbye at the end of the wedding, she was the reason that everything ran so smoothly. We had multiple meetings with her leading up to the wedding, and she was helpful and accommodating every time. She told us that her goal was for us to enjoy our day and not sweat the small things, and that's exactly what she did! We held the ceremony and the reception there, and the transition after the ceremony was seamless and took less than ten minutes. Erica and her staff also set up all of our decor. We left the decor with her the day before the wedding, and when we walked up the stairs into Anodyne everything was set up the way we imagined it. No, better than we imagined! They went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend Anodyne if you're getting married in Milwaukee!“

Ordering was easy, communication was open & our order was beyond perfect. We ordered the biggest breakfast charcuterie board which was a huge hit with all the varieties of baked goods, & fun layout. The variety of mini quiches were delicious & the perfect portion sizes for a buffet style brunch. Also easy to serve. Cheesy potatoes & the French toast bake were so good I wish I ordered more for leftovers. Not a crumb was left behind. We will absolutely be going to & catering with Green Baked Goods again. 10/10 recommend this family owned business.
