“4th Base is a unique Wisconsin experience that that first opened in 1977 and was featured in 1989’s movie ‘Major League.’ Essentially it is a sports bar where the range of food offered goes way beyond typical ‘bar food’ to include things like pistachio encrusted salmon, king crab legs, or a true tenderloin steak sandwich. The jalapeño poppers are made fresh and are the best anywhere as are the hand dipped chicken tenders. While there is an on-wall ‘specials’ bulletin, there is no official menu at 4th base: they will make anything you desire. How it works: there is a ‘protein case’ where you can see all the different fresh fare incl. chicken, seafood, pork loin, & steaks and choose what looks best to you. Then, imagine how you’d like it prepared and tell your server. That’s it.What to wear: in true Wisconsin spirit not only the fare is a hybrid of haute-cuisine and bar-food but so is the attire. Feel comfortable in jeans and your team’s jersey (unless it’s the Chicago Cubs!) or in an Armani suit with an Hermes birkin. There is no pretense here. For someone like me who has spent 40 years in southeast Wisconsin 4th Base is both a home run and home-plate.“
“What an absolute goldmine!! This place has the best calzone on the planet!!! Hands down, if you get the pleasure of having Andrew B as your server/bartender you definitely enjoyed your night!! What an absolute pleasure to be around!!! Definitely will be back! The tab was legit mind blowing cheap, couple of beers for the girlfriend and I had a NA, appetizer, and monster calzone all for under $30!!!!“
“This was a stop on my way home that I have driven past for forever and the rooms on the sign was always curious because it's a weird area for a hotel but no hotel name on the sign. As I walked in my first impression was it looked clean and smelled good. The bar is long against the wall with flat screens, darts, pool table and gambling machines etc etc. The fake exposed brick was better than brown paneling. The place is a friendly place with cheap drinks on my Monday stop and Tuesday is the day to really go because the drink specials are even cheaper. I chatted up the bartender and asked is this a secret hotel with the rooms sign, no she explained that it's a boarding house with like 47 rooms upstairs. I have only seen boarding houses in the movies so it was cool that I was sitting in one.“
“Found this bar doing a Google search and could not have been happier. They were SO friendly. The food was delicious. We asked to put a certain college football game on and the whole bar cheered with us. Music was great. The owner was there and she's delightful. It's just a good old fashioned neighborhood bar.“
“My husband and I wanted to go out and we were there and had drinks and pizza. The service was awesome and the people that were there were very nice and not loud and they all said hello. I would recommend going there to have fun with friends and family. The bartender was very nice and would like to see her again Crystal hopefully I will see you soon“
“Dean and Sue, the owners, are terrific. The bar staff is still trying to keep up after 15 years of ownership. They are great as well, BTW. This place is the true Milwaukee corner bar. I am from the panhandle of Florida so I know about Fried Chicken. This place has an awesome fried CHICKEN PLATE. The difference is also how the atmosphere is. I can walk 1 block away and it is diff'rnt. GREAT PLACE WITH SMART PEOPLE. GREAT SERVICEWheelchair accessibility: Back door“
“The BEST part of our visits is the exemplary customer service. The WELCOME door mat, the warmest ever. Aside from the delicious soups, pot roast and fish frys', it's folks like the ever loyal and longtime server, Dana, Lindsey, Tricia, Christina, Darcy, Tanya and then there's the funny, and patient gentleman greeter who coordinates and makes sure that the people flow is smooth and effortless. These folks are valuable assets to the Sluggo's dining room table and the community that chooses to gather here on a weekly basis.Vegetarian options: Salads with or without your choices of grilled meats.Parking: Plenty of parking behind the main building, and to the sides to include the area by the main entrance, furthermore easy access to two handicap spaces.Kid-friendliness: When my family visits from Texas, we often break bread here with the family to include our young grandchildren during the flexible dinner hours. The Sluggo ladies warmly welcome all youngsters who they gladly spoil as their own.“
“I was visiting from out of state for a concert and found this place on google as a late night pizza option! I was not disappointed. Easy ordering, very friendly service when I picked up and one of the BEST pizzas I’ve ever had. I never leave reviews, but this place deserves the recognition.“
“We were just going to stop in here for a quick drink as we passed through town, but we had so much fun talking to Nick and the customers that came in, we stayed for a couple hours. Him and his wife created this bar from their own collection and it’s definitely worth the time to stop by if you were in to Tiki at all! We tried three different drinks off of their menu, and they were all delicious! You can’t go wrong.“
“It was our first meal after flying all day. We ordered the hot garlic wings (extra crispy), French fries and a side salad. As far as flavor, the wing sauce was unique and tasty. The hot sauce had a sweet tang to it but had the kick from the red peppers. The fries were so crispy and the croutons for the salad was great. As far as “best wings ever”- not so much. The wings weren’t crispy and we asked for all flats, which they couldn’t do. But they gave us more drums than flats which was disappointing.Other than that, not a bad experience. The server was nice and friendly.“
“Heaven was easily the GREATEST bartender I think I’ve EVER came across in my time of drinking and going to different bars around the country. I can’t believe how nice she is and how fast she moves around the bar. Most bartenders ignore people for a bit of time before getting to them but she not only got to me and everybody else faster than I’ve seen in the longest time but she also was able to hold conversation and able to do her job at the same time. If she’s here I WILL be back.“
“Champion's Pub is a quintessential Milwaukee corner bar. It is welcoming, fun, and run by an amazing family and staff. Bobby Greenya and his wife, Maire, beyond being outstanding business owners, are spectacular people. This is a family that helps their community and provides a wonderful location to kick back and relax, enjoy sport's games on TV, or a game of shuffleboard with friends. They go the extra mile to make Champion's an East Side gem. Their St. Patrick's Day celebrations are legendary! Their huge backyard is especially a treat in the summer with kiddie pools to soak your feet in and even outdoor movies, live music and other fun events. Champion's Pub has hosted many of my family's social gatherings and always does a magnificent job. Thank you for being so amazing! We appreciate you more than words can say!“
“Very nice, extremely clean, fantastic drinks, great vibeCan't say enough about the place. Laid back, easy going and great conversation. The owner was super cool and engaging.... We were genuinely welcomed. The bloody Mary was delicious and the espresso martini was top notch. Thank you for your generosity....“
“I made my first visit to O’Brien’s and loved it. Laid back, fun atmosphere, nice owner, and Chaz, an excellent server. We ordered Guinness (of course), the Mac and cheese and a burger. The food was delicious. This is a new favorite place and we’re definitely going back!“
“I have been coming to Kelly’s for quite a bit now and I just want to truly thank them for always giving me a pleasant experience. I was there for Opening Day yesterday and literally every staff member was so kind and had smiles on their faces despite all of the chaos going on. Compared to how you get treated at bars downtown etc. it’s made me realize how much I truly appreciate this place.“
“We came in on a Friday night with 3 kids wanting to bowl. The person helping us, Jim, was attentive and friendly, helping us with shoes, drinks and more. We arrived around 9:30 and the kitchen was unfortunately closed so maybe next time we will get to try the pizza, as Jim told us how good it is. This is a family establishment that is clearly working hard to renovate the place as they've updated all the lanes, computer systems, down to the bowling shoes. We loved it, had a great time and will be back!“
“Food was very good. Crab BLT, sweet potato fries and dill buger special all tasty. Tap beer list with plenty of options. Excellent service from every single staff member. A hearty thank you and goodbye from the bartender on our way out. We will be back!“
“Pete’s is a great little pub, especially in contrast to most of the other options on Brady St. It’s definitely a sports bar (and a great place to catch early morning football matches or F1 races!), but without all the neon and cheesiness, and with unexpectedly great drink options. The food menu is full of great versions of popular pup foods, and the staff is always really friendly and good at what they do. You do have to order everything at the bar (vs. servers and table service) which can be a little cumbersome and hectic when the pub gets busy, but it’s not really something that takes away from the experience as a whole. Overall, highly recommend this place!“
“Great atmosphere! I always feel like family, even though I'm newer to the place. Bartenders are attenrive and each one has their own unique personality, so there's something for everyone. Specials every day, with special events scattered through the calendar! Good times!“
“Loved this place. We snuck in there late on a Sunday (didn’t know anyone) and by the time we left we felt like family. It was my wife’s birthday and they couldn’t have made her feel more special. Everyone in the bar sang to her. Don’t forget to say Hi to the owner. What a little gem.“
“Stumbled upon this place while in Milwaukee for work. It is located not far from my airport hotel. Great neighborhood bar with a lot of locals. Talked to several, and they were all very friendly. The bartender, Erin, was very friendly, fast service, and liked to smile and joke around a little. Drinks were good, and the prices were too. I ordered a pizza around 9pm. Came out in a reasonable amount of time and was better than expected. Will definitely stop back in next time I'm in town.Vegetarian options: A few options for vegetarians. Pizza or salad.Parking: Small parking lot, but there is also street parking.“
“Da Bar is a fun bar wth pleasant staff. The new bar up the street called Da Bar and Grill sells the food. Ive never tried the food there yet though. On sundays for football the owner has free buffets in back area from Rupena's which is a very nice gesture. Stage area in back for bands and party room to rent out if you want to host something there. Little dingy in back tbh could use a new floor as well but other than that its good. Owner is very kind and fun. Enjoy his gaming machines and looking forward to the shuttle bus starting this spring for Brewers baseball games.“

“Hello fellow bar-goers! I recently had the pleasure of visiting this amazing bar, and I couldn't wait to share my experience with all of you. Let me start by saying that Rieley, one of the fabulous staff members, made my visit truly exceptional.“
“Easter Sunday and one of the few places I found open. I was out for a @WiscoMary Sunday Bloody Mary, and I was not disappointed. Magoo's has their own Tito's infused vodka with jalapenos, their own special Bloody Mary mix, their Worcestershire sauce includes dry rub seasoning. My bloody was served with a cheese curd, before stick, and olive . Connor was an excellent bartender/server. Definitely a great place to watch the game and have their delicious wings. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food.“
“Underated food. Had the fish fry, and was expecting a regular corner bar meal. The hand dipped cod and potato pancakes were very good. Recommend the onion pedals for the sauce alone. I would order the beefy cheese sticks and dip them in the onion sauce. You can thank me later.“
“1st time here to eat, usually here to drink…. The munchie basket, “combo basket” whatever it’s called was excellent, lots of food and great mix. We had Pizza for the main course . I was very impressed, great pizza, only problem I was so full after the basket I couldn’t eat as much as I wanted to! Excellent crust and fresh veggies, I was very surprised for a bar pizza! Will definitely go back! I’ve been trying to work out a wing night there with the guys, and I am looking forward to going back soon!“
“Last night (Sat night), my daughter & I get out of the hockey game among thousands from the arena while the college basketball game at the F.F had also let out. We first walk in to Major Goolsbys & I was thinking "It will be the same old situation with these new times of age; having to wait for a table, then wait much longer to get service, especially with two major games nearby just letting out.", gee was I mistaken! There were still several tables available in your bar which has a high capacity & already had many attendees. We take one, within a minute a server (shorter young blonde whose hair was frizzied & in a tail ending at her upper back, said she went to UWM, I should've gotten her name but I gave her a generous tip) calmly & nicely came right up to us and took a drink order, then came right back with the drinks we had ordered, got our food order which we didnt have to wait long for it to be prepared at all (your hamburger & onions rings were delicious btw). The place was rockin'. I commend the entire staff for running a efficient bar & grill that has been a Milwaukee institution! You guys & "Someplace Else" on Water St. which burned down in the late 80's set the standard for Milwaukee's places to go to for drinks & bar food in which other establishments merely try to copy.“
“This establishment does not have gluten free options HOWEVER, the server who realized I was asking about gluten free foods was so patient when asking the cooks about what they may be able to do to accommodate me. Really above and beyond service. The vibes are great. And food for non-gluten free people is really yummy.Dietary restrictions: No gluten free optionsParking: Depending on how busy it is you may be able to get a spot in the lot. The lot is quite small though.“
“My neighborhood "cheers". I moved to the area 2yrs ago, and I just started visiting this place in the summer. I like it here. There's always good vibes. Sarah and Dawn are awesome! Sarah makes the best wings and they have a nice variety of flavors! The drinks are well made, and the prices are affordable. It's a nice place for a quick bite to eat and a drink after work. Game days are always a go!“
“The fish fry on Wednesday is a refreshing change of pace. I've gotten the Fisherman's Delight multiple times without issue. I didn't take a picture because it's exactly as other pictures show. Things are made in house and gives a personal touch to flavor. The friendly staff recognized us and struck up conversation even by the second visit. Good prices and options.“
“Stopped in on a quite Sunday afternoon and were absolutely blown away! The bartenders were super friendly and service was very quick. The beer selection was diverse and the bar set up was unexpectedly beautiful. Now, the food is some of the best bar food I've had. My husband had the Patty Melt and stated that it contends for the best he has ever had. The grilled cheese came with unexpected but welcomed cheese curds. The fries were crisp and salted to perfection. I spent too many years living on that side of town and I'm kicking myself for never going before this week. Definitely a priority stop in the future!“
“This place is great, it's quant and welcoming. I have on numerous occasions seen the staff (Ashley in particular) go out of their was to help their customers, whether it be just a friendly attitude or helping make sure their customers get home safely, they always seem to go above and beyond! Definitely recommend“
“When in doubt Colonel it out … to my fan”s of true Wisconsin taste ? and treat the Bloody Mary here was hands ?? down taste only the best yet I have had here in Wisconsin hollander .. will need to step it up for me … salute Mr.Knippel …. Parking: Great service Mr.KnippelWheelchair accessibility: Yes street level“
“Had a great time here. People were very friendly and bartender was very nice. Owner is usually on site. Wanted something to eat and they had free tacos on Tuesday. They were very delicious and had all the fixings!! We've been there before but will definitely be going back again!!! Thank you to the staff for a wonderful time!!“
“Have been to West Allis location about five times in the last six weeks. Fresh Motz app is awesome love the tomatoes and balsamic glaze. Cracker crust pizza both classic and portobello are great. Love the sausage patty style on the pizza. It does however seem like the sauce on the pizza has changed since the first few visits. Much more spicier now. I personally don't care for it but I know others prefer it. Service is always good“
“Went with friends of ours for a fish fry on 02/09/24. First time visiting. The beer-battered fish and baked fish were both great. Loved the potato pancakes as well. The highlight was the awesome server we had, Joey. He really made it an enjoyable experience and took great care of us that evening. Thanks for the extra olives, Joey! We'll be back.“
“Great place but just another dive bar, if you're going to catch some hotties, don't bother but if middle-aged white women that have had 6 kids and missing a whole row of teeth is your kinda place its a gold mine, great bartenders, good music“
“Love this place!! It's be come my regular bar now. The staff is amazing, personable, friendly, and all around cool. As a woman, it's great to feel safe if I want to stop for one by myself on the way home. Recommend longshots to anyone. They've got a pool table, darts, and can't forget the nar dice (that they will remind you how to play if you forget). Can't wait till the summer and hanging out outside.“
“My order took over an hour, I saw some table patrons come and go, and our order was still not brought out so we said we were leaving but the manager made it right... he cut our bill in half... I love this place and I know that their service is good but our order must've fell through the cracks this time... my order should've been about $85 but the manager brought it down to $42... I WILL DEF BE BACK... ?? TO THIER FISH FRY“
“The food was very good. We tried the pad Thai, volcano chicken, and I ordered drunken noodles to go. We also got Thai Tea. The customer service was very good and timely, they were very attentive and responsive and nice. Their pricing was a little confusing as they charge a 20% service fee which is separate from the tip/gratuity. However, they provide a great experience. Definitely would recommend and will be coming back.“
“Chris and Trixxie the two bartenders that were working are welcoming- they make you feel like you belong there. Prices are lowest in town. Open every Packer game with food and drink specials. Plus poker on Tuesday nights at 7. Love this bar.“
“A few blocks from Fiserv, Who’s on Third is the perfect meeting place before heading to a game. We were in town the Kwik Trip hockey tournament and there were Wisconsin and opposing fans there enjoying the food and drink. Speaking of, the drinks were reasonable and the food was great! Service was attentive if not experienced. Friendly staff was around a lot making sure to clear glasses and plates as well as refilling our drinks. A BOGO offer to each of us as we were heading out was all we needed to return after the game for a nightcap. Just a bit on the loud side for being as early as it was during the Christmas break.“
“The wings, the drinks, the DJ, the staff and the weekly specials is what brings me to a new spot and keeps me coming back. This place has all of that and more. We are always greeted right away even though I see some regulars. We don’t get treated any different, the food is always hot so when I wait I know it’s because the chef is cooking it the right way.they have weekly specials like margarita Mondays, wing Wednesdays, tenderoni (chicken tenders)Thursdays, fish fry Fridays, and Saturday and Sundays are specials on micheladas and mimosas.“
