“Friday fish fry is outstanding. I had baked, wife had fried. 3 nice sized filets each. Full slice of bread. 2 big potato pancakes & cole slaw. Had to put my big boy pants on to finish! Only the pancakes were a little bland. Best value around.“

“Dean and Sue, the owners, are terrific. The bar staff is still trying to keep up after 15 years of ownership. They are great as well, BTW. This place is the true Milwaukee corner bar. I am from the panhandle of Florida so I know about Fried Chicken. This place has an awesome fried CHICKEN PLATE. The difference is also how the atmosphere is. “It was our first meal after flying all day. We ordered the hot garlic wings (extra crispy), French fries and a side salad. As far as flavor, the wing sauce was unique and tasty. The hot sauce had a sweet tang to it but had the kick from the red peppers. The fries were so crispy and the croutons for the salad was great.As far as “best wings ever”- not so much. The wings weren’t crispy and we asked for all flats, which they couldn’t do. But they gave us more drums than flats which was disappointing.Other than that, not a bad experience. The server was nice and friendly.“
“The wings, the drinks, the DJ, the staff and the weekly specials is what brings me to a new spot and keeps me coming back. This place has all of that and more. We are always greeted right away even though I see some regulars. We don’t get treated any different, the food is always hot so when I wait I know it’s because the chef is cooking it the right way.they have weekly specials like margarita Mondays, wing Wednesdays, tenderoni (chicken tenders)Thursdays, fish fry Fridays, and Saturday and Sundays are specials on micheladas and mimosas.“

I was there for Opening Day yesterday and literally every staff member was so kind and had smiles on their faces despite all of the chaos going on. Compared to how you get treated at bars downtown etc. it’s made me realize how much I truly appreciate this place.“
“We came in on a Friday night with 3 kids wanting to bowl. The person helping us, Jim, was attentive and friendly, helping us with shoes, drinks and more. We arrived around 9:30 and the kitchen was unfortunately closed so maybe next time we will get to try the pizza, as Jim told us how good it is. This is a family establishment that is clearly working hard to renovate the place as they've updated all the lanes, computer systems, down to the bowling shoes. We loved it, had a great time and will be back!“
“I made my first visit to O’Brien’s and loved it. Laid back, fun atmosphere, nice owner, and Chaz, an excellent server. We ordered Guinness (of course), the Mac and cheese and a burger. The food was delicious. This is a new favorite place and we’re definitely going back!“

Aside from the delicious soups, pot roast and fish frys', it's folks like the ever loyal and longtime server, Dana, Lindsey, Tricia, Christina, Darcy, Tanya and then there's the funny, and patient gentleman greeter who coordinates and makes sure that the people flow is smooth and effortless.
