“We ate here before the Chris Young show in the middle of that dang snowstorm. It was our first time! From the minute we walked in and were greeted by the host staff and welcomed by our server at the bar, we already felt like we were being treated like royalty. You feel so welcomed, immediately. After a cocktail, our hostess came and found us for our reservation and we were seated at a cute window seat, overlooking the Christmas lights. Our server, Alex, was OUTSTANDING. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed his company and his conversation. We were, again, treated like royalty. 1 billion out of 10 for all of the front of house staff...especially Alex. At this point, if the food was terrible I wouldn't have even cared. But. It. Wasn't. Calamari 10/10 (light batter and melts in your mouth), my Ceasar Salad 10/10 (the dressing was light and flavorful and I almost asked for a bowl of the croutons) I ordered a NY Strip medium rare, baked potato, mushrooms 10/10 (cooked and seasoned to perfection, at this point Ive eaten so much food I think I'm going to die, but I couldn't stop), my friend had the Queens Cut Prime Rib, baked potato, and asparagus 10/10 (again, cooked to perfection, super flavorful, and the asparagus was huge and delicious). Alex asks if we want dessert and I said I literally can't breathe. ...He came back with a chocolate mousse anyways...how he knew my weakness, I'll never know. So, go for the food and the staff. These folks are doing it so right. We can't wait to go back!!!!“

The three-meat dinner option — beef tenderloin, chicken, and ham — along with the full salad bar, mashed potatoes, seasoned vegetables, potato salad, pasta salad, and warm dinner rolls was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. “This is all about the atmosphere. The 5 stars for that are well deserved in my opinion! The staff are polite and were super nice to my kids.

The food is a little bland. The brisket was very dry unfortunately. The rotisserie chicken was good though. The cowboy beans were a bit grainy. The kids tenders were well cooked and the kids enjoyed them after adding sauce. The cheese curds were good (as expected in Wisconsin).

Overall it was a fun meal with things to look at and talk about. The prices are a bit up for a few things but it's not outside the norm for a tourist town.“

“We were staying at Chula Vista as part of a group and invited for a BBQ. We arrived early so we went to the bar where it was happy hour. The bartender was great. It wasn't too busy yet and she was wonderful to talk with. The BBQ they hosted for our group was quite substantial and delicious. The hamburgers were thick and juicy, the frankfurters were huge and then they had bratwurst. They served all the fixings for them along with potato salad, salad, and housemade potato chips. The servers were very attentive taking empty plates and refilling drinks and very nice. The restaurant was very clean. We didn't have enough time to eat here again during our stay but wish we had.“

Order arrived right on time, the wings were EXCELLENT even after being packaged up and transported and the pizza was hot fresh and very tasty. Service was friendly and even carried it into my condo. My steak was 8 ounce fillet and it was the best fillet I’ve ever had and we love to go out to eat and it’s hard to make us happy so I am very very pleased and would recommend this place to everyone. “3 star instead of 2 for two reasons. First and foremost was the bartender/server the night of 05/01/24. Really nice guy, especially to our kiddos. Second is the concept. The loaded tater tot ideas they have are good. Serving size on the loaded tots were good as well. However, execution is inconsistent at best. I'll start with the good. I had the torta tots. Pork was super tender and flavorful. Ancho chili sauce was delicious. "Pico" had banana peppers, which was actually a nice twist. Tomato & onion chunks were way too large. 3 starts overall on that dish. Mainly cause of the pork and sauce. Next were the pizza tots. Pep and sausage were decent. Sauce was a MAJOR fail. Not everywhere needs to do a homemade sauce obviously. At least use a good pre-bought one though!!! It might has well have been straight, crappy tomato sauce. Lastly, STAY AWAY FROM THE MAC & CHEESE TOTS UNLESS YOU UNDER THE AGE OF 5!!! How are you gonna be a bar/restaurant (not a crappy hole in the wall bar) in WI AND PUT KRAFT MAC & CHEESE ON SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE KIDS MENU!!! (Kraft in kids menues in WI is also questionable in my opinion). It was saved by half a star due to the ok cheese sauce and then made a little bit better by paying extra for the bacon. Also, ditch the paper on the bottom of the loaded tots. It disintegrates, and your guests end up digging the paper out of their food. Lastly, don't bother with the cheese curds. WAY OVERPRICED FOR HOW MUCH YOU GET!!!“

“Our family had a fantastic stay at The Vue. All the staff were knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely friendly. The rooms were clean, well cared for, and smelled clean. The amenities were the best feature. The kids and I had a multitude of choices of fun to do within a 10 minute drive of our hotel. This made our stay convenient and packed full of great memories.“

“I worked at a ponderosa local to us for years, and grew up going there. Unfortunately all the ones near our home have closed. We were so excited to visit this location and introduce our kids to ponderosa. The service was great from the minute we walked in the door. The food was great, and the server was not only attentive but so good with our kids. Is the facility in perfect modern condition? No. But you can tell they value cleanliness which is the important part when it comes to this. For families, especially families already tired and overwhelmed from vacation, this is a perfect stop. No waiting for food and something for every kid's preferences, plus plenty of good stuff for the adults too. Keep in mind that the buffet comes with any of the menu meals. I can't think of a single other place where you can get steak with unlimited salad, sides, and desserts in that price range. My sirloin tips and baked potato were delicious.“
