“First time giving a review, I first need to start off with how excellent service was while we were there. The servers were very attentive, always smiling and asking if we needed anything or items removed from the table. The burgers we had were delicious along with the yummy fried cheesecake.“

“We had a party of 8 for 6:00pm and we showed up early and they still sat us. We originally thought we were getting a regular table but they sat us in a separate room which we didn't mind at all just didn't expect. Service was terrific and fast everyone was so welcoming our server destiny was amazing and being our first time here coming from Illinois we really appreciated the service we got. “Found this place randomly through a google search. So glad I did, This place is amazing! Out away from the touristy parts of the Dells and Baraboo. When we went they were having a wine walk. For $15 we got to try 10 wines, see the property, and meet the owner/winemaker Fred. Fred and the staff were very knowledge about the wines they made and gave us recommendations for wines we might like from their collection. Fred and the staff at Baraboo Bluff Winery went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. We will be re-turning next time we are in Wisconsin.“

I have to say that the wines at Balanced Rock are probably the best I have ever had! “The service and atmosphere here is very unique. The prices are fair and portions decent. Some things are hit and miss, but never terrible or mediocre. They do lack a bit of consistency sometimes with their recipes/dishes. The apple pancakes were the best I’ve ever had. Comfort food for sure!“

“There's nothing like a great burger and if that's what you're craving, the Downtowner is the place to go! I try a different type of burger each time I go there and I've never been disappointed. This one was a pepper cheese burger. They use the highest quality meat available and they'll cook it to order. I had the "tots" and they were hot, crispy and well seasoned. I also had a whiskey old fashioned which was outstanding. Can't beat the prices either. A great way to treat yourself in a true Wisconsin tavern environment.“

“We went when it was slow (Sunday early afternoon). Both the food and service were great. I noticed a lot of the candy and treats in their shop were a good deal comparatively. Probably marked a lot closer to what corporate prices goods at all of their shops across America instead the "Wisconsin Dell prices" found out a lot of the tourist shops.“
