“Gonna be honest I guess I just haven't had captain ds in a while but this really just slapped so hard today. I went in with my brother and gram and we got the 5.99 2 piece fish meal and it was just so good so crispy with the tater sauce love the crispy hush puppies. I highly recommend coming in and getting a meal it will be worth especially if you set down and eat it right there in the restaurant while it's freshest. Staff were kind and we got our food quick.“

“I’ve had the pleasure of eating brunch here multiple times, whatever I’ve chosen, has been amazing. The past few times I’ve selected the chicken and waffles brunch item. Normally is it a good sized selection of chicken tenders, today however, it was a selection of bone in chicken wings, thighs, and breasts. This made the meal so much better! The savory meat with the sweet waffle and candied jalapeños, amazing! It for sure entered the clean plate club! I would highly recommend going and trying anything on the menu! If the food wasn’t so good, I would have been able to get a picture before I ate every bite! Maybe next time!“

“We ate lunch here today. There were so many choices, but we decided on Hawaii 5-0 on bread and some chicken fried rice. It was all delicious. The portions were large, so we both had leftovers to dinner. Yum! All the employees were friendly and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back!“

“Highly recommend checking this place out! It’s been on our list for a while, and we finally made it in last night. It completely exceeded our expectations.
We started with the boneless garlic parmesan wings, which were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. For our mains, we ordered the Backyard BBQ Burger and the Triple Bacon Smash Burger, both served with a large side of fries. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.

“I’ve been going into this location for several months in the morning. The young man with the salt and pepper hair is always so polite and nice. He makes my whole experience so much better. He remembers what I buy every morning and has it ready and waiting for me. Great customer service from this young man! I’ve had previous experiences at this location that were not so nice and stopped going for a long time. He makes my day a bit brighter. Kudos for such a pleasant person Cold Spot!“

“Went to drumming‘s bar and Grill with my wife. I tried the hotdog and the bologna sandwich. She tried the bacon turkey club. We tried the taquito appetizer. The food was good cheaply priced can’t say much for the bathrooms, but it’s a sports bar with no consistency on decor Christmas lights, surfboards pirates, and a dragon out front as a part of their sign like I said no congruency. I feel like they’ve built this place in under Bob’s basement but once again it’s a bar what can I say. All in all I give it an 85 out of 100.“

“Stopped in here looking for a West Virginia hot dog as we were visiting the Charleston area. I'm very familiar with Nitro as I lived here in the late 70s and early 80s. Jumped online, did a Google search and Katherine's café came up With a good rating for hot dogs. Tiffany, our server was super polite and for a small café with a bar this place was very clean! Even the bathrooms were super clean! That goes a long way anytime I'm visiting any type of restaurant. We had A West Virginia hot dog a couple of days before at another location but it wasn't nearly as good as the one we had here. Outstanding! Give them a try.“

“We got to watch a deluge and lightning 🌩 storm from the comfort of our table at Applebee's near the big mall outside of Charleston WV. Delicious meals and appetizers and good company. Our server was nice and always ahead of our requests for drinks and anything else we needed.“

“I went there with a date, for lunch. The only thing I didn't care for was the wair to be seated. We stood there for 14 minutes waiting for someone. The woman who came in behind us walked immediately to the cashier and began speaking with her. She grabbed a menu and proceeded to walk around us and when a server finally came, she was at first. They didn't have a sign up, stating they were looking for help, but we weren't even acknowledged by anyone.“

“The Tap is great! We were here a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time. The manager is so nice and knowledgable. They have an excellent selection of WV craft beers & WV ciders. They also do cocktails, sangria, and have a good selection of bourbon. We have had a charcuterie board (very nice), their Buffalo Chicken dip (it’s delicious), and Potato Skins (tasty). They have burgers, bbq,, sandwiches, and some other appetizers on the menu. We are here tonight and they are having a costume party from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. “Been here so many times I can't count but never said anything about my experience. This is by far the best place for Cajun dry rub wings. They are amazing. The ghost pepper burger is great as well. I had the jalapeno cheese sticks for the first time today and I'll never get plain again. I will be back again for sure“

“The prices are WAY too high for the box lunches or I would probably eat here once every week or two. Fortunately, their receipts have promos on them if you complete a survey etc. and they often email promos/coupons. The staff is CLEAN, very friendly and has treated me very well. I am disappointed they discontinued baked beans as a side. The croissants and cookies are especially tasty. Happy to still have this business in our area“

“I came here after an appointment in the area to read and enjoy some breakfast. I always love an eggs Benedict which they had a couple choices to choose from. I got the shredded beef Eggs Benny, with potatoes, and English breakfast tea. (They have Cholula which is one of my favorite hot sauces for morning meals.)
My waitresses were speedy, punctual and so friendly. It was a bit crowded, but only waited 5 minutes for my table. (Even going alone I got a whole booth to myself)
Enjoyed casually ease dropping on the tables next to me, and wasn't interrupted while reading a novel. It's a stimulating atmosphere, I find most corporate breakfast chains are. It's definitely worth a stop in, if you're in the area. :)“

“We sat at the bar on Friday, March 20, and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The service from both bartenders, Kayla and Lauren, was excellent — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They checked on us regularly and made sure our drinks were always filled without us ever having to ask.

Our food came out piping hot, and my steak was cooked perfectly medium — exactly the way I ordered it. You could tell care was put into every plate.

I also appreciated that the manager stopped by the bar several times, staying engaged and making sure everyone was having a great experience.

We will absolutely continue dining at this Applebee’s Grill + Bar location. Highly recommend!“
