“A charming place with wonderful ambience and excellent food. No one can bet with their Boomtown Burger and Pork Ribs it's always taste good. Now, it's my all time favorite. The restaurant is very clean. All the staff were very nice, very friendly and very approachable. They treat everyone like a family. I would like to recommend Katherine's Cafe to my friends and family as well!!!“
“My second time here and I'll keep coming back that's for sure. Excellent menu with selections for everybody and more. The food, staff and prices are all equally great. If you've never been you are missing out. Easy access from Rt. 64, Rt. 60 and more.Parking: No trouble finding parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access“
“Love this place, everyone is so nice and helpful when I take my granddaughter in for lunch. So this place has a lunch buffet that is Awesome! Lots of fresh hot pizza, bread, cheese sticks, pizza rolls, spaghetti & more. I've seen them make a special pizza for someone who asked for it. Just a great place to go for lunch! I gave them 5 ⭐even though they don't have Coke Zero ?Kid-friendliness: Always willing to help you get the children seated.“
“Family ate here on a Sunday at 4:30 pm. We had a pleasant experience overall. Food was good quality. Loved the side salad with mixed greens instead of iceberg lettuce. The waitress took quite a long time to return when we said we just needed a minute to order. She also dropped off the check and didn't come back for a while to get our card when we were ready to leave.“
“This place is one of the best little restaurants in the world. If you want some down home cookin this is the place! Brett and Aubrey are the best BTW. They work in the kitchen and are why everything is just so amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Parking: Park at Wendy's if you gotta, they dont care, just use the back lot.“
“My sister and I were in St Albans for my Dad's 80th birthday party Saturday and Sunday we wanted to go watch The Browns game so we ended up at Drummys and I am so glad we did!! The patrons were super friendly as were the staff and I was pleasantly surprised by several other Browns fans being there. We ordered a hotdog with coleslaw, it was very good but a very small dog. Really the only negative about the place was the high drink prices. The waitress said the bar is charged a lot for the liquor so I guess that's understandable. We had a great time there and if I lived there, I'd be a regular customer as it seemed everyone there was!“
“Beautiful atmosphere! A lot to look at and you aren't too close to every other table in the place. Nice background music. Very cozy place to be. Coffee was good, better than Dunkin. Food was a little lackluster, asked for scrambled eggs for both our plates and it was an omelette both. Hash potatoes were good. Homemade biscuit was basically just oat biscuits. Cannot really recommend any bread here for people that enjoy real bread. Most bread options are gluten free, great for gluten free people. Not great for bread lovers. Overall not too bad but I'd rather make my breakfast at home with a nice fried egg and avocado toast.Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free options“
“The place itself was very clean. Had a warm and inviting atmosphere to it. The bar tenders were very friendly and helpful. We went on trivia night on accident, and just sat and enjoyed the experience. I would 100% recommend this place. The food and drinks were all really good. My boyfriend and I shared the chicken bacon yum pizza, a pretzel, and a Buffalo chicken dip. We also goy the sleigh it ain't snow drink and it was 10/10.“
“Went on a Monday and to watch football. Decided to try something new. Definitely a good decision, food was great , service was great , the place was clean and decorated a little for Christmas. Me and my wife both got burgers . They were good - a little small but great flavor . The prices are better than any of the other places around them. The portions are a little small however for the prices it was worth every penny. We will definitely be back Oh and as my wife says " they got that goood ranch"“
“Tudor Biscuit Breakfast! While on a road trip to Charlotte North Carolina we made a stop to. Little breakfast spot that the drive through was staying full! We walked in and it was empty, so we order from Josh who was amazing! He brought out our food and drinks quickly which made me ?... somebody back there knows how to cook! Everything was fresh and well made. Tasted awesome and was full of flavor. The biscuits were perfect and huge! Listen... if you are in West Virginia and get a chance to try them DO IT!#scotchwithe#food#foodie#foodblogger#foodreview“
“Easter Sunday and the store was very busy! Our party of four started with an appetizer from the Barrel Bites, Loaded Steak Fries, and it was delicious! My 94 year old mother-in-law ordered the grilled chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and brown gravy, corn and baby carrots. As usual, she ate half and took the other half home for lunch this week. Both the tenders and carrots were truly tender and all was well prepared. My wife had the Homestyle Fried Chicken BLT sandwich (no tomato for her). She too cut it in half for a later lunch this week and enjoyed her favorite hash brown casserole as a side. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the dumplings meal and shared a few with grandma who loves them also. I had the sampler and opted for Sunday Chicken (available daily but I still call it Sunday Chicken) and dumplings with pinto beans (add onion AND chow-chow) and turnip greens (add apple cider vinegar) and biscuits and cornbread (for one) and Grilled Sourdough Toast (for two). We definitely plan to return to the Cross Lanes, WV Store very soon, especially since we moved nearby a few months ago and found this location to be a gem.Wheelchair accessibility: My 94 year old mother-in-law has a walker that she pushes (and sometimes rides as my wife pushes her) and the entrance was easily accessible to her.“
“The only thing I could critique is our entrées took a long time to the table but the service made up for it. I forgot his name but his daught plays basketball. Amazing and nice guy. The food was on point. They cooked my steak right. They were out of fried pickles a d potatoe skins which could have been fixed by buying pickles and prepping. Potato skins depends on how corporate wants them. Who knows may have been the same with the pickles. So just bump up your ordering a bit.Overall, it was a really wonderful visit.“
“I found this place to be delightful. I don’t like to just review bad places so here we go.The bad:The kitchen was slow but I also understand that one man had 7 orders. It’s to be expected. That’s it. That’s all the bad.The good:The bartender was super friendly and lively. It’s hard to screw up a vodka cranberry, but they hit the spot. The fries…. Let me tell you. I enjoyed the absolute hell outta those pillowy potato sticks of goodness.I ordered a quesadilla and asked if they could go off menu and add the bang bang shrimp to the quesadilla. It was exactly what I expected. Delicious and filling.I will definitely be back :)“
“I can only comment on takeout as it's all I've had, but the bourbon siracha wings have me wanting to dine in! A family member often orders them so we tried a large takeout order recently. I will say, the bourbon siracha is my favorite and the medium wings were a bit bland, so I'll ask for extra sauce next timeThe fries and sides portions are also quite large and the fries are very good. The online menu is out of date as far as prices (by a lot). Please fix that. But we'll definitely be back!“
“This is one of those mom and pop restaurants and it shows. It’s one of those places that has stay the same in an ever changing world. The food and ice-cream are just classic home food. It’s great to see some of the small restaurants making it in this world of chains!!“
“We enjoyed our lunch at Eagles Nest today. We had the buffet that offered country fried steak and a spicy chicken dish (they change daily), alongside roasted potatoes, fresh green beans, dinner rolls, fresh salads, and various dessert items. The fried steak was very tasty, the beans tasted like grandma used to make, and the salads were extremely fresh. The star of the meal was the exceptional service. Each of the wait staff stopped by our table, at one point during our meal, to ask if anything was needed.“
“Went last night for dinner. Very very good . Really 5 star clean , great meal . Had a salad, rolls tea, steak, baked potato, real butter served. First time in a long time to go there. Fair priced in the restaurant market for what you get today. Go try it I think you will like it.“
“Had lunch here to include burgers and fries. The burgers appeared to be hand pattied, lean ground beef. They were a tad bit overcooked, leaving them a little dry, but still very good. But, where else can you get a burger, fries, and coke for about $7?They also offer hot dogs, fish sandwich, onion rings, amongst others. This is more of a bar setting with food so if you have kids, it may not be the best place for you.The crowd was friendly, with all the regulars passing through for lunch and beer.Overall, it was a good experience and would eat here again when in the area.“
“Really enjoyed our meal here. Smoked chicken wings were really smokey, but I loved the lemon-pepper dry rub! Fries were excellent; batter dip was crisp! Sandwich was also pretty darn good, but the start of the show was the deep fried pepperoni roll!! You should go there just to try this. Our server Darryl was top-notch. Can't wait to go back.“
“A fantastic West Virginia jewel. Wonderful staff, very friendly. Excellent service all around from cashier to kitchen to waitress. The food was absolutely delicious with huge portions. Biscuit and gravy was comfort food defined. The blackberry biscuits was Super Delicious ?!!!“
“A big Thank You to Jamal and the manager! Great service! Our ribs were great, but the manager thought they were a little too "done" and brought out a new rack. We never complained or even said a word, we thought they were great. Take note folks, that's how customer service is done. As I tell everyone, Longhorn has the best ribs. I will add "best service" from now on. Thanks again ya'll!“
“I have found my new favorite restaurant in Teays Valley. The restaurant shares a building with the gas station. The restaurant is clean and well lit. The staff are extremely friendly. I spoke with the owner, who is there every day. He told me he could accommodate any dietary restrictions I had. The penne with vodka sauce is the best I have had anywhere. He uses real vodka. The shrimp he uses is huge and actually deveined. The flavor is outstanding. I would eat here every day if I could afford it. They also serve boars head meats/sandwiches and cheesecake factory cheesecake. I will say, they often forget plastic utensils and it would be nice if they put a liner in the Styrofoam containers. The garlic bread is frozen.“
“Egg roll sampler - incredibly creative idea, expertly delivered. Really enjoyed three of the rolls, other did a great job being exactly as described. BBQ (pork) is super tasty. Spicy is really good, doesn’t pack much spice punch though. Cheeseburger wasn’t our favorite, but it is an extremely effective delivery of a cheeseburger as an egg roll (which turns out isn’t our personal preference). Best for last, the reuben - best reuben we’ve had in the state of WV and it was in egg roll form. Will try to return to get the actual reuben sandwich.Hiroshima - very interesting dish, really enjoyed the ball of rice. Just the right amount of crunchiness. Broccoli and chicken are done just right. I got it “spicy,” and it wasn’t (in my opinion). Waitress got more spice for me super quickly. Really appreciated the flavor after the addition of more spice.Crispy Chicken Melt with onion rings - good taste, all seemed a touch over cooked. Still enjoyed it though.Incredible wait staff, very attentive and very busy keeping everything clean. It got a bit loud from casual conversations at other tables, not enough to dampen our experience.“
