“A great little restaurant with a local flair. Wilma is always so friendly and gracious, don't think she has ever met a stranger. The food is good and the portions are good sized. I love the wall of honor for all branches of the military and law enforcement!“

“Fantastic place to eat. Suggest: 1) a piece of garlic bread with your chicken Parm. It would be beneficial to mop up that delicious sauce in the pasta bowl.2) name tags. I had to ask our server her name. She was very friendly, courteous, & a sales driven server. Her name was Maya! Great job Maya! Kitchen staff was at the top of their game. Chicken Pot pie was delicious! A very nice change to normal menus. In fact, the WHOLE STAFF was at the top of their game!!! Definitely, worth stopping!!! And we were just driving through, on our way back to Columbus, Ohio. Thank you!“

“We love a good hometown breakfast and this place hits the nail on the head. I commend them for their quality food.. homemade biscuits, pancakes with a crisp edge, and no slippery oiled eggs like the chain restaurants have. Sausage Gravy was flavorful and also homemade, not from a can. Sausage patties also look hand pattied and not brought in frozen. Everything was cooked perfectly. All that and it is fairly priced!Could use some new seats but that doesn't matter... the food matters.“

“They have a very good sloppy Joe with big portions. The prices are decent. Everyone was nice, both the waitress and the customers. The restaurant had a birthday cake for a frequent customer and gave away the extra slices after the party left. The atmosphere isn't bad, but there's a lot on walls and it's kind of distracting.“

“A Taste of Big City Dining in Small Town AmericaMy wife and I recently ventured into the heart of Fort Ashby, WV to indulge in what we heard was a hidden gem of culinary delight. It was our first time dining there, and as we sat down, I couldn't help but think we should have discovered this place much sooner. Nestled in the quaint charm of small-town America, this restaurant offered a dining experience that rivaled those of big city fine establishments.FOOD:I opted for the Lemon Pepper Salmon accompanied by a baked potato and applesauce. From the first bite, I knew I was in for something special. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning was spot on. Having dined in various locations across the country, I can confidently say that this dish surpassed many I've tried, even those on the famed Las Vegas Strip. The flavors were exquisite, and every element of the meal spoke of freshness and attention to detail.SERVICE:Despite the bustling atmosphere upon our arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly, albeit with a short wait. The slight delay in receiving our food was understandable, given the evident care taken to prepare each dish to order. Throughout our meal, the attentive staff made sure we were well taken care of, with multiple servers checking in on us. Such exceptional service deserved more than the standard tip; I happily marked off the 25% option on the bill.ATMOSPHERE:As we settled into our seats, I couldn't help but appreciate the comfortable ambiance surrounding us. The décor resembled that of a scaled-down Cracker Barrel, but with a touch of sophistication. The music played in the background enhanced the dining experience, setting just the right tone without overpowering conversation. The layout of the restaurant was conducive to easy navigation, and the overall atmosphere contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable evening. In conclusion, this restaurant is more than worth the journey, even if it means driving a couple of hours to reach it. My wife and I found ourselves wishing we had discovered it sooner, but we're grateful for the memorable dining experience it provided. If you're in search of exceptional food, impeccable service, and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further than this hidden gem in Fort Ashby. Trust me; you won't be disappointed.“
