“When I and my 3 siblings were youngsters in Glen Dale in the 1950s, our parents every once in a while brought DiCarlos takeout home after our bedtimes to share with any guests they may have had. Now, the good part is this: If any DiCarlos was left over, they put these gems into the oven (no heat) for we kids to "discover" on Saturday morning. Talk about delicious! DiCarlos was my introduction to real pizza, and it was a great intro. My mother did attempt to copy DiCarlos pizza every once in a while, and she was very successful (thank you, mom). Of course, the standard against which she measured success was always DiCarlos. The Glen Dale location is probably going on 75 years or more in business now. And, 75 years? You'd be right in thinking DiCarlos is doing something right, yes? I'd say, try DiCarlos and try it often. Glen Dale is a better place for having the original DiCarlos.“

“First time eating here and it was delicious! I had the ham steak, side salad, and cottage cheese. Husband had the patty melt with fresh-cut fries and brown gravy. Fresh made burger on the patty melt, fries dipped in the gravy were spectacular. Dinner was great! We then ordered dessert, I got a slice of lemon pie and my husband got the Ho-Ho cake. Not disappointed at all. Great service and great food.“

“Drinks were great, The Mussels Diablo were delicious, the Seared Scallops with Asparagus and Risotta were amazing, and the Braised Lamb Shank just fell off the bone, so tender and delicious; and the Saffron Risotta was equally as delicious. Unfortunately we did not have room left for desserts...next time. Very nice atmosphere to enjoy each other's company.“

“We took my mom and grandmother to the Mother’s Day buffet and everything was so incredibly good! And such a large selection so anyone can find something to eat even the picky eaters! “I’ve been there a number of times, and it’s always solid. Their wings are cooked so well… juiciest freshest wings I’ve had. Tonight was Steak Night and you can’t beat $11 for a steak, potato, and salad. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food came out surprisingly fast. I don’t go here as often as I should!“

“a friend and and I stopped after dinner n a movie in our way home,, our waitress who was a young girl got nasty after we only ordered a beer. never stopped back to ask us if we needed anything else... what she did do was come back 45 minutes later and said " I need you to pay your bill because it's the end of my shift and if you need anything else you'll have to go to the bar and get it." mind you this is at 1000 at night and they still had people coming in,, I won't go back.“

“This place is number one for catering needs. Beautiful venue or they will deliver to your venue as well. They always have the nicest staff to work with in the Ohio valley. I have always had a pleasant experience here and will continue to choose Alexander's on 7th in the future. We had a Christmas party there this year and had a wonderful experience! “Sent my parents here for a special “date night” while they were in from out of town for a show at the Capitol. Made reservations in person and asked for it to be a special night. “I took my family of four there after a friend recommended. Usually, when we go out to dinner at least one meal isn’t that good. I was amazed that everything was absolutely amazing. The steakhouse burger I ordered was hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The poutine was great, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was sublime. My wife and 17 year old daughter ordered chicken sandwiches and they raised the bar on chicken sandwiches. The salad was great. My younger daughter (picky eater) ordered a pizza from The 304 Wood Fired Pizza, it was the best pizza I’ve had in the Ohio Valley. In conclusion, this place is one of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant in Wheeling. Definitely going to be a regular there. I’d have to give it a 15 out of 10 rating.“

“We are from out of town & saw the parking lot was busy but decided we’d try anyways! It was really really busy but Sara our waitress apologized - it looked like she was the only waitress. Many said goodbye as we were leaving and our waitress was attentive and friendly. Longhorn is by far the best chain restaurant around and the food is always so good. “I recently started going to this place regularly. I am not a big sports or bar fan, but I do enjoy this place. The service has always been fantastic when I go. The food is always good. They also give you free popcorn, which is very unique and quirky. The only main issue that I have with it is that it can be too loud at times. They have a small arcade and there are always sports on the TV.
