“When I and my 3 siblings were youngsters in Glen Dale in the 1950s, our parents every once in a while brought DiCarlos takeout home after our bedtimes to share with any guests they may have had. Now, the good part is this: If any DiCarlos was left over, they put these gems into the oven (no heat) for we kids to "discover" on Saturday morning. Talk about delicious! DiCarlos was my introduction to real pizza, and it was a great intro. My mother did attempt to copy DiCarlos pizza every once in a while, and she was very successful (thank you, mom). Of course, the standard against which she measured success was always DiCarlos. The Glen Dale location is probably going on 75 years or more in business now. And, 75 years? You'd be right in thinking DiCarlos is doing something right, yes? I'd say, try DiCarlos and try it often. Glen Dale is a better place for having the original DiCarlos.“

“First time eating here and it was delicious! I had the ham steak, side salad, and cottage cheese. Husband had the patty melt with fresh-cut fries and brown gravy. Fresh made burger on the patty melt, fries dipped in the gravy were spectacular. Dinner was great! We then ordered dessert, I got a slice of lemon pie and my husband got the Ho-Ho cake. Not disappointed at all. Great service and great food.“

“Four of us visited this restaurant. Two of us got liver and onions, one gut honey glazed chicken, and the other got a fish dinner. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The liver and onions were cooked perfect. Allie was our waitress and she was awesome. Very polite, friendly, and made you feel very comfortable. Everything was also reasonably priced. We will return.“

“a friend and and I stopped after dinner n a movie in our way home,, our waitress who was a young girl got nasty after we only ordered a beer. never stopped back to ask us if we needed anything else... what she did do was come back 45 minutes later and said " I need you to pay your bill because it's the end of my shift and if you need anything else you'll have to go to the bar and get it." mind you this is at 1000 at night and they still had people coming in,, I won't go back.“

“We come in for lunch/dinner. We sat at the bar and was greeted by Brittney. She is such a sweet personality. She took our order and it was correct. She filled our drinks and all our other needs. She is one of your best.

Parking: There was plenty of spots. I even got one close.“

“Sent my parents here for a special “date night” while they were in from out of town for a show at the Capitol. Made reservations in person and asked for it to be a special night. “I took my family of four there after a friend recommended. Usually, when we go out to dinner at least one meal isn’t that good. I was amazed that everything was absolutely amazing. The steakhouse burger I ordered was hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The poutine was great, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was sublime. My wife and 17 year old daughter ordered chicken sandwiches and they raised the bar on chicken sandwiches. The salad was great. My younger daughter (picky eater) ordered a pizza from The 304 Wood Fired Pizza, it was the best pizza I’ve had in the Ohio Valley. In conclusion, this place is one of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant in Wheeling. Definitely going to be a regular there. I’d have to give it a 15 out of 10 rating.“

“We are from out of town & saw the parking lot was busy but decided we’d try anyways! It was really really busy but Sara our waitress apologized - it looked like she was the only waitress. We assured her it’s ok & she was wonderful. It took a very long time to get our food but when Sara brought it - it was hot & delicious! We had no complaints at all! “I recently started going to this place regularly. I am not a big sports or bar fan, but I do enjoy this place. The service has always been fantastic when I go. The food is always good. They also give you free popcorn, which is very unique and quirky. The only main issue that I have with it is that it can be too loud at times. They have a small arcade and there are always sports on the TV.

“Sabrina A made our dining experience perfect last night. We went with my parents and had the mushroom appetizer and the spinach dip appetizer. Both were excellent but we preferred putting the spinach dip on the bread provided versus the toasted pita. The pita had a very strong oily flavor and masked the taste of the spinach dip. Next time we will order the spinach dip with the toasted bread instead of the pita triangles. Our salads were cold and perfectly dressed and our steak and salmon cooked just the way we ordered. Sabrina was friendly and very attentive during our visit. It is so nice to meet someone who’s loved her job and tries her best. She surprised when we were finished with our dinner and brought us a complementary vanilla ice cream sundae. It was large enough for the four of us to share! The manager was kind and stopped by our table twice to see how our meal and service were. He even held the door for us upon leaving the restaurant. This location has the best customer service and friendly employees. It is our favorite place to dine when visiting our parents.“

“We like to stop in and grab a sandwich and some chips when we either don't have the time for a 'sit down' restaurant, or we want to limit portion size. Ladies working there are always friendly and quick to serve. Sandwiches are always tasty and the smaller portion sizes on their side dishes, (baked beans, tater salad' are perfect! Great little spot for a quick lunch for 2 !“

I got wet muddy we stopped in for dinner didn't realize it was so close to closing they were very sweet I was wrapped in a blanket the waitress was very sweet I have enormous dietary restrictions she even separated the spinach out of the salad mix she checked on us was so sweet and caring. our food was gd she even sent me home with extra biscuits. I just wish I could have gotten her name cute blonde very sweet.“
