Steve the owner made us welcome, and after checking the menu, I had the shrimp Po-Boy, friend had half a shrimp Po-Boy and a cup of Gumbo. I have been many times to New Orleans and the food here is every bit as good as N.O.— I took a cup of Gumbo home too. Delicious !!“

“The staff were very friendly and patient.
The food was delicious without being overly salty or heavily seasoned, which I really liked.
One thing I really appreciated was that the dining area didn’t smell like cooking oil at all. I’m usually sensitive to restaurants where the kitchen smell fills the whole dining room, but that wasn’t an issue here.
The restaurant also provides complimentary hand sanitizer, which I thought was a thoughtful touch and shows they care about their customers’ hygiene.
I’d definitely come back again!“

“It is small but it is a good place for craft beer featuring Jackie O’s. They have a nice draft list too. I went on Thanksgiving Day so it wasn’t very busy. I think it is a lot like The Beer Trappe but with a smaller selection of beers to take home. Look forward to going back“

This is the only Giovanni’s we go to. Why? Well tonight they overcooked our pizza a little but it was still ok. Not ok for the team there because they made me another pizza before I knew about it.

“The pizza was piping hot and they did not skimp on the toppings. Had plenty of flavor. This was my first time having their pizza. My husband went to Marshall University years ago and had good memories of Monty’s. No indoor dining, but we got ours at the drive-through and went to the park to eat it.“

“I was in there this evening. I had a young biracial lady serve me and my daughter. She was very attentive to me and my 4 year old daughter. She seemed a little stressed out. But she didn’t let that stop her. She served us with a smile. And my daughter just loved her. As I was observing, there was a long line and this young lady was doing everything by herself. There was another girl there, but she was on her phone. I wanted to write this because she deserves the recognition.“

“The customer service is weird, I always feel like I’m rushed to order something. They almost never talk unless they are telling your your total. They’ve had a few great smokers years ago the ones that are there now barley look at you. I use to love earning here when I went to the mall, I’d always get the General Tos chicken, rice and crab ragoons. That was my go to meal but I don’t know it taste way different now, plus they are very pricey“

“I want to say that you get what you pay for but even more value if you come during opening times when the food is fresh and hot. I’ve been here a total of three times and they’ve been so consistent with the food every time. Some of these reviewers are expecting a grand plaza buffet for $12-$15? For $12 at 11am, I left very full and ate it while it was the freshest.

The young lady working the counter is really sweet and showed me around when I had questions. If you’re looking for a cheap, filling meal, the best time to come is the morning. Will be back!“
