“Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Everything was fresh and delicious. We got fish tacos, shrimp cocktail, and coleslaw. The lady in the kitchen was kind enough to cook our cod in a pan since we didn’t want it deep fried. It was so good! They even have a “seafood haters” menu with ribeye steak, and kids items like corn dogs and quesadillas. Nice little fresh seafood market too. We’ll definitely have to come back here.Dietary restrictions: Gluten sensitive items marked on menu“

“Came here on a whim after work got done early and didn't expect much. I ordered a shredded beef soft and hard taco and it was delivered fast within a few minutes tops. The little inexpensive tacos were literally mouth watering, cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The staff here is friendly and maintain the establishment very well. I only ask my self why didn't I come here sooner!“

“Salt River Grill is so good! I have three young boys that are full of energy and they have always been so patient and kind to us and our family every time we go in there. Colter's Lodge American • $$

“We made the trip from Idaho Falls just for a one night getaway to stay in a hotel with a restaurant downstairs and bar. We really enjoyed the room, super nicely decorated. We were disappointed to see the restaurant downstairs and breakfast in the morning were both closed via a note on the door (a website or booking notification would have been nice) it kind of ruined the whole purpose of the trip, since we had to eat elsewhere for everything. We did enjoy the bar that evening, although the service could have been better. Would probably try this place again since other than the closures, we enjoyed the facility. Overall would have been a great value!Walkability: Walkable to downtown restaurantsFood & drinks: The restaurant was closed via a note on the door. Looked super cute but unable to try it. The breakfast was also closed in the morning without warning (between the opening hours)Bar was nice, had pool tables and slot machines. Drinks were a great value! No cocktail menu but we were able to order what we asked for.“

Shelly's Cowboy Bar Bar • $

“This is one bar I really enjoy. I have said this too many times? But it is worth mentioning it again/ You might walk in alone but you leave with so many friends. It is a great place to hang out and if you are a single woman, you do not have to worry about anyone bothering you. Let me tell you!! They have the BEST chili cheese hot dogs too. AND They are free too!!!! They serve them every Sunday. My experience has been they serve the most wonderful Margaritas!! I would go so far to say the best in Afton too. I have tried the other places but I keep saying the Cowboy Bar has the best. Everyone there is so heartwarming. I like all the bartenders there they are all so great. My favorite is Kirsti. Well, I thank y'all for taking the time reading my book!! As you can tell by now there are not enough things to say about this wonderful place. If in the area please stop by. Y'all will not be dissapointed!!“

Valleon Cafe at Colter's Lodge Breakfast • $

“Great experience here, cozy booths with antique lighting you can dim your own light over your dinner if you please, cool western decor. Service was great considering how hard it is to get staff these days. Filet was delish and seasoned and cooked to perfection (crispy outside juicy and tender inside) Only disappointment was the dessert I really think it was frozen out of a box, I've had many a cheesecake to know the difference in texture and taste. But still I would not fault them much given the pandemic scenario. After dinner go have drinks in the historical and highly entertainign hotel bar. Great night out.“
