We booked a room with not toilet or shower. It's was a little awkward to use the showers as they were on a separate floor and the water pressure and temperature were a little off. You can't get a better location in the park. The dinning room food was poor but the service was good. The downside to staying in the park is that you don't have many options of where to eat.
Room quality varies quite a bit between different parts of the building. The great hall is amazing tho, with lovely violin or piano music daily. No wifi - plan accordingly. At peak times, the bar is overrun with demand. Given that it's the only place around, they could upgrade bar and restaurant facilities to align better with demand
Horrible rooms. No air circulation and no water pressure. Beds are rock hard. No technology is fine. They need to ensure they put that everything everywhere is cashless. The location is breathtaking and perfect.

The incredible architecture makes it worth exploring, with a spectacular lobby that features soaring levels of wood terrace and a giant stone fireplace. This creates a wonderful place to hang out in the evening with live music and enjoy a drink. The second floor provides a romantic setting with constant music, while the three-story interior courtyard adds to the ambiance.
The attached restaurant is decent for Yellowstone, providing buffet-style service for breakfast and dinner. While it can be expensive, the food is better than other options in the park, though some meals have been described as forgettable. Reservations are recommended, as the buffet often has long waits due to limited serving lines. Guests can choose from charming older log cabin-style rooms, some with shared bathrooms, and standard hotel rooms with private bathrooms. The east wing offers views of the geyser.
Despite small rooms and common bathrooms, the overall experience is memorable, with chances to witness the geyser, enjoy live music, and explore nearby natural hot springs and buffalo sightings. The cozy atmosphere, live violin music, and friendly service add to the charm. While not a luxury hotel, its historic architecture and prime location make it a must-visit. Nearby activities include a short walk to Old Faithful Geyser, and the lodge is wheelchair accessible.
Noteworthy details: Beautiful lobby, live music, and a perfect location at the heart of the upper geyser basin. Guests appreciate the easy check-in and the lovely gift shop, though some have noted that housekeeping can create a messy atmosphere at times.
