“Food was great, I have absolutely no negative to say about it. The Negroni is a must have, sangria was super, the baguette is the best in Calgary and the dry aged prime rib was amazing. Our server made us feel welcome, took a moment to talk with us and then guided us on our choices as well as wine pairing. Dessert was amazing as well: chocolate cream for one and creme brûlée for the other. We had an amazing birthday supper. The place is popular so the noise level goes accordingly but we were able to enjoy our conversation anyway so it wasn't drown into loud music. We will definitely be going back.“

“The ambiance at the French restaurant was charming, and we were excited to indulge in some delightful desserts featuring fresh fruit. However, our experience was somewhat tainted as the fruits in our desserts weren't as fresh as we had hoped. The strawberries seemed tired, and the raspberries appeared to be several days old. Despite this hiccup, the overall dining experience was still enjoyable, and we appreciate the effort put into creating such a lovely atmosphere.“

“Wow, the breakfast here was absolutely amazing. The hash browns were super crispy. The burger was cooked beautifully with a perfectly toasted bun. Everything was just wonderful.

The place is a bit small though. So, seating is limited.“

“Service and the cheese fondue were really good. We did not care for the sides that came with the lamb chop, especially the hummus infused couscous. The consistency was like eating Play-Doh. The mussels also left a bit to be desired. Would not suggest ordering either. Overall an ok experience but for the price and other options on 17th they need to up their game.“

“I don't remember the last time I eat there, but the crepes are much more tasty, they are delicious now, the new managment is doing a great job. Today we met Julie & Kennedy, they went far and beyond with their service, offering options to add or to exchange some ingredients. We will go back sooner for sure!!“

“For our first wedding anniversary, my wife and I chose Rouge, and it was a perfect choice that exceeded all expectations. We’re no strangers to fine dining and spent considerable time choosing the right spot. Given my wife’s severe lactose allergy—well beyond average lactose intolerance—she often has to either suffer through a meal or settle for a less enjoyable option compared to mine. But at Rouge, this wasn’t the case. Not only did they carefully and attentively cater to her allergy, but there were even moments where her dishes were arguably better than mine! This level of care is rare and so worth mentioning.

The chef’s menu was an absolute delight (I’ll be dreaming about the foie gras), each wine pairing was flawless, and our server provided outstanding, personalized service. Rouge made our anniversary dinner truly memorable, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the extraordinary experience. We’ll definitely be back!
