“I’ve tried a lot of banh mi places around this area and the rest of the city. This is going to be my new go to when I’m nearby. The beef satay sub was very flavourful, saucy and tender. The pork belly sub was tender and tasty. I love the pickled carrots on the sub. Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk was perfect too, and good value compared to nearby shops.“

“I love this place! I've been going there for years specifically for their pork spring rolls and the best wor wonton in the city! The family there is so great! They always go above and beyond, which is evidenced by the line ups at lunchtime. Highly recommend them! 5 stars from me!“

“Great little Vietnamese restaurant with awesome service. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was also very good. We tried their Banh Mi, vermicelli bowl, pho, beef stew and Vietnamese coffee. Everything was very good, 2 thumbs up. It’s a small place with limited seating. Located in a strip shopping centre you should be able to find free parking either out front or in the adjacent lot.“

“I actually came for the aquarium store downstairs but apon entering the building the smell was so overwhelmingly mouthwatering, I decided to have a bowl. Im pretty sure it’s a family owned place and the food definitely reflects that, broths are all so tasty! The staff that work there are so kind, hard working and friendly. They let me try all of the broths before making a bowl for me to be sure. I also loved the fact that’s it’s kinda like a subway and they put all the fixings in for you. Super fast and efficient, with all the flavour of an authentic pho spot.“

The Satay Beef Noodle Soup with Peanuts is a must-try, with its flavorful broth and tender beef, perfectly complemented by the fragrant peanut taste. The restaurant not only offers great food but also a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, along with a friendly and enthusiastic staff. “The night we ate here the restaurant was super busy but the lone server was running and getting it done. We didn't have to wait long for our food and the pho came with bean sprouts, lime and Thai basil. I thought the pho was OK a little low on flavour and not hot. The spring rolls were very good and came with a dressed up dipping sauce not just plain fish sauce. Overall it was an ok dinner.“

“We visited the market on the recommendation of the Concierge at our hotel and it was amazing! The variety of vendors and quality of the food & drink was impressive. I had an Indian meal while my wife had Mexican. We ordered some nice wine and ate on the open air patio. We were surprised by the number of young families and pets, but it really made the atmosphere more enjoyable. We very much encourage a visit to this market if you find yourself in Calgary!“

“Portion was okay sized for the price, could afford to add more noodles and vegetables in my opinion. Cha gio was good, I didn’t particularly find the grilled lemongrass protein that flavourful, could have used a fattier cut of meat. Service was good, friendly and quick“

My group of friends and I walked in about 40 mins before closing but they were still so kind to serve us. The service was quick and employees were so so lovely.

“I am VERY happy I found this hidden gem! I have never heard of this place, but I am so stoked we came across this place.

You know it's a family restaurant from the moment you go in, and the hospitality matches the warmth. We were met with the friendliest lady, mentioning there was no meat--which is why we came. I eat vegan and my cousin and I chose this place due to the menu looking enticing.

We ordered the Banh xeo as an appetizer to share (RECOMMEND!) and were basically full when our main course came. The bun bo hue looked FULL of proteins and vegetables, and the broken rice with shredded tofu was SO good. The tofu was so crispy and flavourful.

I am very excited to try this place again!!! Very vegan friendly and obviously, everything is fully vegetarian!!!“

“This review is very long overdue considering my partner and I have been getting these delicious subs for over a decade now.

We first started buying these subs at their location in Pacific Place Mall and instantly became addicted. The bread is the perfect mix of soft and crunchy, the ingredients are fresh and vibrant and the sauce is to die for. The bubble tea is also the best I've ever had, by far.

My partner and I moved away from Calgary many years ago but we still make a point of getting food here every single time we visit. On our last trip, we walked to the downtown location every day and bought multiple subs each just to get our fix (we even stocked up at the Pacific Place location right before our flight). We were so happy to see the owners there everyday as they are the nicest people with the brightest smiles. So much love for this shop!“

“Definitely one of the best vietnamese restaurants I've ever eaten at! I came here for lunch and the place was packed by 12:30, Yet my food came so fast I could hardly believe it. The prices are very affordable. I orded the Lobster seafood satay noodle soup, and some salad rolls. The soup was so flavorful and had 1 full large lobster tail and a small 1/2 tail. This soup was only $20. A normal seafood noodle soup was around $13, so I litterally only paid 7$ for lobster! The salad rolls were big snd fresh, and the peanut sauce was creamy & warm! I will definitely be coming back to try some other dishes.Still the best in Calgary.“

“My Tho BBQ offers the most delicious Vietnamese sub charcuterie trays that are ideal for parties. We have been ordering the BBQ meat (pork) and cold cut combo for years, and it’s stayed consistently excellent. The pork rind baggies are a must-have as well (so crispy and decadent when air-fried). For big orders, call or message the staff on IG well in advance of your pick up date. The staff are super friendly. Highly recommended!“
