“Stopped in as I had an appointment near by and needed to grab lunch. This cute little spot had the freshest French sub buns I've had a bahn mi on! The lady working said they get fresh buns every morning and she turns off the open sign as soon as they sell out.
I'll definitely check out Bahn Mi Cay again next time I'm in the neighborhood.“

I sort of discounted the possibility of a replacement, and Pho Daddy looked too mainstream or regular from the street, but in the recent dip to 8.5 million degrees below zero, I decided to go up the spiral staircase, and I am happy I did. “I had a wonderful experience at PHI NHUNG Vietnamese Pho + Cuisine. The food here is truly delicious and rich in traditional Vietnamese flavors. The Satay Beef Noodle Soup with Peanuts is a must-try, with its flavorful broth and tender beef, perfectly complemented by the fragrant peanut taste. The restaurant not only offers great food but also a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, along with a friendly and enthusiastic staff. I also loved the Vietnamese sandwiches and the DIY wraps, which really gave me the feeling of enjoying authentic home-cooked meals. PHI NHUNG Vietnamese Pho + Cuisine is definitely a place I will frequent. It's well worth a visit and experience!“

“Superb customer service - I misunderstood a menu item as in past I've ordered a rare beef satay soup at other establishments and it came with a peanut sauce stirred through. Here it meant chilli oil, which was already added to the soup, and unfortunately was too much spice for my lips or belly to tolerate. As I was scanning the menu for something else to order the staff brought a smaller bowl of broth and noodles without chilli oil, complimentary. The depth of flavour in the broth was exceptional, truly delicious, and I left a very happy customer.

“We visited the market on the recommendation of the Concierge at our hotel and it was amazing! The variety of vendors and quality of the food & drink was impressive. I had an Indian meal while my wife had Mexican. We ordered some nice wine and ate on the open air patio. We were surprised by the number of young families and pets, but it really made the atmosphere more enjoyable. We very much encourage a visit to this market if you find yourself in Calgary!“

“I am VERY happy I found this hidden gem! I have never heard of this place, but I am so stoked we came across this place.

You know it's a family restaurant from the moment you go in, and the hospitality matches the warmth. We were met with the friendliest lady, mentioning there was no meat--which is why we came. I eat vegan and my cousin and I chose this place due to the menu looking enticing.

We ordered the Banh xeo as an appetizer to share (RECOMMEND!) and were basically full when our main course came. The bun bo hue looked FULL of proteins and vegetables, and the broken rice with shredded tofu was SO good. The tofu was so crispy and flavourful.

I am very excited to try this place again!!! Very vegan friendly and obviously, everything is fully vegetarian!!!“

“Delicious and authentic vietnamese food! Huge portions for a reasonable price and they don’t cheap out of veggies and meat like most places do.

My group of friends and I walked in about 40 mins before closing but they were still so kind to serve us. The service was quick and employees were so so lovely.

“This review is very long overdue considering my partner and I have been getting these delicious subs for over a decade now.

We first started buying these subs at their location in Pacific Place Mall and instantly became addicted. The bread is the perfect mix of soft and crunchy, the ingredients are fresh and vibrant and the sauce is to die for. The bubble tea is also the best I've ever had, by far.

My partner and I moved away from Calgary many years ago but we still make a point of getting food here every single time we visit. On our last trip, we walked to the downtown location every day and bought multiple subs each just to get our fix (we even stocked up at the Pacific Place location right before our flight). We were so happy to see the owners there everyday as they are the nicest people with the brightest smiles. So much love for this shop!“

“Definitely one of the best vietnamese restaurants I've ever eaten at! I came here for lunch and the place was packed by 12:30, Yet my food came so fast I could hardly believe it. The prices are very affordable. I orded the Lobster seafood satay noodle soup, and some salad rolls. The soup was so flavorful and had 1 full large lobster tail and a small 1/2 tail. This soup was only $20. A normal seafood noodle soup was around $13, so I litterally only paid 7$ for lobster! The salad rolls were big snd fresh, and the peanut sauce was creamy & warm! I will definitely be coming back to try some other dishes.Still the best in Calgary.“

“First time ordering food from this restaurant, I love to see gluten free options at a veitnamese restaurants :) the women I spoke to on the phone was friendly and advised me that some of their sauces I wont be able to have since it has gluten in it, which was really kind of her, as well as asking me if its an allergy!! Thank you for seeking clarification! The soup looks and tasted great, fresh ingredients, even the broth is good! Ive never been given spring rolls that were pre-cut before, but none the less, everything tasted good, thank you, i'll try and come again.“

“My Tho BBQ offers the most delicious Vietnamese sub charcuterie trays that are ideal for parties. We have been ordering the BBQ meat (pork) and cold cut combo for years, and it’s stayed consistently excellent. The pork rind baggies are a must-have as well (so crispy and decadent when air-fried). For big orders, call or message the staff on IG well in advance of your pick up date. The staff are super friendly. Highly recommended!“
