“I love this place! I've been going there for years specifically for their pork spring rolls and the best wor wonton in the city! The family there is so great! They always go above and beyond, which is evidenced by the line ups at lunchtime. Highly recommend them! 5 stars from me!“

“Wow, the breakfast here was absolutely amazing. The hash browns were super crispy. The burger was cooked beautifully with a perfectly toasted bun. Everything was just wonderful.

The place is a bit small though. So, seating is limited.“

It's worth coming in and paying parking. The large was huge and decent price. To make it even better it was the friendliest customer service encounter I've had for a long while.“

The Satay Beef Noodle Soup with Peanuts is a must-try, with its flavorful broth and tender beef, perfectly complemented by the fragrant peanut taste. The restaurant not only offers great food but also a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, along with a friendly and enthusiastic staff. “Enjoyed pho and vermicelli. The food was fantastic. Not overly salty as it tends to be in many other places. Tons of flavors and very fresh. We are picky eathers and could not find anything to complain. Service was excellent. They were attentive and even apologized serving the spring rolls slightly delayed as the first batch was burned. Even the water they brought was done thoughfully I'm Caucasian and got class of cold water and my wife who is Asian got a glass of warm water. I recommend wholeheartedly this place.“

“I’ve always seen this place in passing for so long and wanted to try it since it’s close to my home, and I’m glad I finally tried it tonight. Very fresh and tasty, definitely one of the better bánh mì places in Calgary. I will definitely be back.

“We visited the market on the recommendation of the Concierge at our hotel and it was amazing! The variety of vendors and quality of the food & drink was impressive. I had an Indian meal while my wife had Mexican. We ordered some nice wine and ate on the open air patio. We were surprised by the number of young families and pets, but it really made the atmosphere more enjoyable. We very much encourage a visit to this market if you find yourself in Calgary!“

“Superb customer service - I misunderstood a menu item as in past I've ordered a rare beef satay soup at other establishments and it came with a peanut sauce stirred through. Here it meant chilli oil, which was already added to the soup, and unfortunately was too much spice for my lips or belly to tolerate. As I was scanning the menu for something else to order the staff brought a smaller bowl of broth and noodles without chilli oil, complimentary. The depth of flavour in the broth was exceptional, truly delicious, and I left a very happy customer.

“Highly recommend this spot if you're looking to try different styles of Vietnamese food. This Vietnamese restaurant offers a variety of dishes that you can’t find around Calgary! We tried several items from the menu, and everything was quite good. I had the crab fried rice, and it was delicious—flavorful, but not as bold as Thai or Indonesian fried rice. Definitely worth a try. We'll be coming back to explore more dishes.“

“My husband and I have been eating at Bowness Vietnamese for the last few years and cannot speak highly enough of this family owned restaurant! The food is amazing with big portions at a great price, and they cater very well to celiac disease. I am highly sensitive to gluten, but they do a great job with the gluten free menu including spring rolls and many other items. The staff are very friendly, hardworking, and hospitable. Would definitely recommend paying a visit for some fantastic food!“

“Modest Interior and signage but don't be fooled.

One of the best soups & banh mi's I've had in my life and that's coming from an Asian.
The wonton soup w/ egg noodles & the house special traditional satay beef pho w/ peanuts are my go-to's along w/ spring rolls.
They also still have the original sriracha bottles w/ the rooster. On top of that, hoisin, fish & satay sauce readily available in to-go ramekins.

They're 1 block away from 4th St. Station by the C-Train beside Deville right across the courthouse making it easily accessible.

The owners are wonderful and I feel so lucky to live nearby to easily enjoy their delicious food.“

“I can't believe we're getting this food for this price! It's amazing! I feel great eating such delicious pho at such a good price. For two people, we each get a bowl of pho and order a salad roll, and it comes to about $45 including tip. It's a very nice dining cost. The portions are generous, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and there's plenty of meat. I've been coming here for about two years now, and it has consistently been delicious. If you like pho as much as I do, you should definitely try this place!

“I am VERY happy I found this hidden gem! I have never heard of this place, but I am so stoked we came across this place.

You know it's a family restaurant from the moment you go in, and the hospitality matches the warmth. We were met with the friendliest lady, mentioning there was no meat--which is why we came. I eat vegan and my cousin and I chose this place due to the menu looking enticing.

We ordered the Banh xeo as an appetizer to share (RECOMMEND!) and were basically full when our main course came. The bun bo hue looked FULL of proteins and vegetables, and the broken rice with shredded tofu was SO good. The tofu was so crispy and flavourful.

I am very excited to try this place again!!! Very vegan friendly and obviously, everything is fully vegetarian!!!“

“I forgot to take a picture because I dove right in! I got the beef pho and the broth is absolutely delicious! It’s a cute little shop with an easy to navigate menu, and I love that they have staple options to choose from! Reduces the whole “what should I get” decision paralysis I normally have.

I routinely order the chilli chicken sandwich and it's super good, well cooked chicken, spicy, fresh ingredients.

Even when you add cheese it's only $0.50 cents (unlike other places who charge stupid amounts for extras)

Great value. Highly recommended.

Only downside is if u got a car, parking is not easy since it's right on 17th Ave...“
