“We came here since we heard good things about it. Nice, clean, and welcoming spot with a bright, modern feel. The staff were cheerful, attentive, and quick to help, which made the visit pleasant right from the start.
KB & Co has a surprisingly large and varied menu, especially for a plant-based cafe, with plenty of bowls, wraps, smoothies, and healthy treats to choose from.
We tried the Smokey Caesar and the falafel dish. Both looked fresh and colorful, and the Smokey Caesar was especially flavorful — crisp greens, well-balanced dressing, and generous toppings.
The falafel, however, missed the mark for me. The falafel felt soft and mushy, and it actually fell apart easily, lacking the firm texture I typically expect. Additionally, it was rather mild in flavor and didn’t showcase the vibrant herbaceous notes that make falafel so distinctive. It wasn’t inedible, but it stood out as the one weak point in an otherwise solid meal.
Overall, though, KB & Co delivers fresh, health-minded food in a comfortable space with great service. I’d definitely come back to try more of the menu — just probably not the falafel next time.“

“The table was too dark to read the menu. This was at 6:15pm. We all had to turn our cell phones on to see the menu. Table should have had at least a candle or lamp if you don't want the overhead light brighter. 4 of our group of 6 said their dinners were too spicy. The Buffalo chicken bowl was almost inedible. Too hot/overwhelmed the dish. The steak bites cream sauce was way too spicy for both other patrons. The green pesto sauce was perfect.“

“I stopped by Chopped Leaf for lunch and was really impressed. The ingredients were super fresh, and everything tasted clean and flavorful. I ordered the Bangkok wrap, and the peanut sauce was amazing—rich but not heavy. The staff was friendly and helped me pick something I’d like, which was nice. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a healthy, quick meal that actually fills you up. Definitely coming back!“

“Food is fresh, made on the spot, food literally looks like a work of art, how it’s puts together. Instagram worthy. ❤️ if it’s your first time they give recommendations. Friendly service, quiet atmosphere. If you want fresh, poke splash is the way to go. Great tasting, crunchy, savoury, refreshing. I’ll definitely be back to the St. Albert location.“

“Some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life. We ordered at the south Edmonton location (probably more then we needed) but zero regrets! Still dreaming about the spring rolls and the curry! 1000/10! Wishing for an east coast location.“

“I used to get the beyond burger from A&W. They no longer have it. I tried their new veggie burger and wasn’t a fan, so I decided to try Odd Burger for lunch. So much better! I really enjoyed my classic burger. The staff member was very friendly and kind.“

“CRAFT Beer Market Edmonton is my go to for great beer and food in a lively yet relaxed setting. The interior is spacious with high ceilings, industrial accents and big screens showing the game. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable about the rotating tap list featuring dozens of local craft beers and international favourites. I started with the kung pao lettuce wraps and soft pretzel with beer cheese dip… both were delicious and perfect for sharing. For mains the ahi tuna poke bowl and crispy chicken sandwich were fresh and flavourful. Their seasonal cocktails and beer flights are also worth trying. The rooftop patio offers a wonderful view of downtown and the atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or colleagues. With attentive service, a diverse menu and a fantastic selection of drinks, CRAFT Beer Market never disappoints.“

“You will have to admit, you're getting a great mix of Egyptian and Greek flavors here. Deserves the lengthy review. I believe the owners are a family, in operation for about 2 years and you can really tell from their warm conversations that love goes into the food. The attention is not just a great service experience but a natural feeling of the intention they pour into what is hard work and quality food. Don’t know if it’s fair to say “service” or “atmosphere” or if it should just be called “the passion” expressing itself but you feel the hard work and enjoy the food more. The atmosphere was beyond any expectations as a result. Overall, the experience feels very genuine, making this my favorite place to eat in Edmonton right now. I am compelled by my first time here to highly recommend Pharaohs Restaurant—it’s a must-try.
The menu is small but well-chosen, all of what you would expect and want to eat in the genre of three cuisines, so everything is made just right. We ordered the platter for 2-3 people, but honestly, it’s enough for three. They did warn us and explained everything clearly, that you’ll want to save room for dessert. We were too full to enjoy dessert properly because each dish was so good—you’ll want to savor each one! Still, that just means you'll have to come back and try more and fit dessert. The Italian is woven in and fantastic! It’s a true fusion that stays true to its roots, without sacrificing authenticity. I’ve had good Greek food and homemade Egyptian dishes before, but I didn’t expect them to blend together so seamlessly. This is not Michelin Star but not your everyday home cooking either.
I know I have hyped it up and I clearly enjoyed it but it deserves this level of extended review even just for the next aspect I want to highlight. The cozy, authentic vibe is hard to find after the pandemic changed how many restaurants operate, but this one really stands out as what I only now innately remember was an excellent dine in experience pre-pandemic. Almost would not mind being stuck anymore on Gateway and Calgary Trail knowing I can just eat dinner here! The options in this part of town have not disappointed and many deserve a visit - but this one most of all.
The Context:
4ppl (30-40yrs old)
Saturday 6:30pm to 8:45pm
Just meeting up with friends haven’t seen in a while.
Friend in the group chose this place based on Google reviews- I didn’t check prior, just their website.“

“If Willy Wonka opened a boutique ice cream lab in the heart of Edmonton, it would be Made By Marcus - Whyte Ave. This place doesn’t just scoop ice cream—it performs culinary alchemy.
I came in skeptical, left converted. Earl Grey? Sophisticated. Roasted Strawberry Buttermilk? Like summer had a love affair with a dairy farm. Mac and Cheese? Sounds like a dare, tastes like a dream. It’s the kind of flavour lineup that makes your taste buds question everything they thought they knew about dessert.
The vibe? Cozy, tucked down a charming alleyway like a secret worth sharing Staff are friendly, samples are encouraged (bless them), and the waffle cones are so good they deserve their own fan club.
If you’re tired of vanilla life, this is your scoop of rebellion. 🍦🔥“

“Located off of Whytes Road, this place is serving up some delicious local meats, from brisket, ribs, pulled pork, etc they've got it all.
Their brisket was tender and flavorful.
The pork ribs were smokey, and crispy on the outside but tender on the inside.
We order a side of Mac and cheese and two large pickles. Both a great side dish that complement the meats.
Service was superb, friendly and efficient!
Perfect place if you're feeling carnivorous!“

“As always, we love all of Daniel Costa’s restaurants, and Bar Henry is no exception. We’re probably here at least once a month—sometimes even twice or three times. The food, the atmosphere, and the service are consistently excellent.
That said, we were really sad to hear they’re no longer open on Mondays and Tuesdays. As a tenant in the Stantec building, we’re also very disappointed that lunch service is no longer offered. We’re tired of the sad salads and meals from Loblaw, and walking all the way to Sunterra just isn’t the same.
If Bar Henry ever decided to bring back some kind of “lunch-to-go” service—like Va, fresh salads, pastries, or something grab-and-go (even just coffee!)—I can imagine it being very well received by all the offices upstairs (myself included!). We especially miss the real coffee you used to offer.
Please don’t ever change the amazing evening service though—Bar Henry at night is always such a treat.
And we missed Tristan!!!!!!!“

“The variety of items that if you would get anywhere it would damage your health. This bakery has deserts that are not only gluten free but won’t make you feel nauseous or sick just from eating 2 danishes. Screw Tim Hortons, crumble and other bakeries because this bakery is the best alternative for healthy sweets, lunch and dinner. I used to go to a donut shop and get some sweets every now and then . Since i discovered this last year i been coming here every week before work to get everything my wallet will allow me to get. Imagine eating a set of cookies and wishing for no effect to your health…are you imagining? It’s too good to be true right? Well not necessarily because this bakery is exactly that. You won’t regret it.“

“Went with a group yesterday for. Lunch. Server was a gentleman who you could tell really takes pride in what he does. Genuinely friendly, not pushy, but attentive. Great job.
Atmosphere was nice, lots of space, very nice decor, and open space was really appreciated.
Food was a bit of a miss. Had the 1/2 chicken which seemed like a large breast cut in half and then placed on top of one another. Fries were stale and hard to eat.
Warm potato salad was nice with the smashed baby potatoes, however I would have liked more color. More corn & perhaps.some chives or green onions to make it more visually appealing.
Overall a decent place to go.“
