“We LOVE El Pastor! The food is delicious whether we eat in or get it to go and the service is great! We ate there tonight and ordered a quesadilla and taco salads. The quesadilla came out a little well done, but we weren't going to complain about it. Maybe 5 minutes later they brought out a replacement and even put the other one in a togo box so we could take it home. We'll definitely be back, but then, we usually eat here at least once a week! 😊“

“This is a place to visit if you crave bold flavors and freshly made, from-scratch food. If you're in a rush, order ahead. There is limited seating for guests. The menu is updated daily, and as they run out of items, they update the website. We ordered J3rk Wings with mango j3rk sauce (all sauces made in-house). WOW! The wings were cooked perfectly, and that sauce was a 10/10 for flavor. I would eat them every day. The Pholourie (Split Pea Fritter) was gorgeous, with a crisp, golden shell and a light, airy center (there is an art to fritters, and the artist nailed it here). These were served with a dipping sauce that had a perfect flavor profile. Then we split the Chicken Rasta Pasta it was bold and flavorful with a kick of heat. For dessert, we had the bread pudding experience. The bread pudding must be savored; don't ask for the recipe, much has been offered in exchange, and these sisters won't share their secret. Overall, 10/10 best food I have experienced in Alaska since moving here two years ago, and I’ve had some really good food. Portion size was generous,there was enough for two of us, and we will have plenty for lunch tomorrow as well.“

“I’ve traveled extensively across the United States and tried countless pizzas, but after living in Eagle River for nine years, Great Alaska Pizza Co. will always be my top choice whenever I return to visit. Although many people have come and gone from the store since I was younger, my family has a special connection there—we were well-known among the staff. Each visit brings back a sense of being home, and it’s something we truly cherish.

The food is consistently delicious, and I find myself missing it whenever I have to order from elsewhere. Their Hawaiian pizza with mushrooms is simply unbeatable!“

“We came to Jimmy’s Sushi for the first time in years… I don’t know why we forgot about this gem! Everything we ordered was delicious! You know the food is good when your pre-schooler avoids the rice for the rest of his bento box! I ordered the Penang curry after recommendations from the server that it was gluten free and it was delectable! My husband has his typical favorite, the General Tso and thoroughly enjoyed it. The knowledgeable staff to accommodate my need for gluten free food was impressive and SO appreciated. I’m ready to come back to Jimmy’s asap.“

“I was honestly surprised how good Pete’s burgers and fries were the first time I tried them. My family now orders out from here regularly, and they never fail to hit the mark. A solid choice if you’re craving a down to earth burger joint.“

“This is our families go to for food in Eagle River. My kids birthday dinner…they want Kim’s! I didn’t want to cook dinner…Kim’s! We want a variety of different food…Kim’s! Even when they are jam packed, their service is quick, everyone’s nice, and you feel like you’re home. So if you haven’t checked this place out yet you need to!“
