“The one thing I liked most was the food. I dont know how they make this food so good, but its very good. Service was quite great but most of the times I have three of the stuff on my food and then the next day I have 4 of the stuff on my food like, what is going on? The atmosphere was great here.“

“We went the other day and the food was delicious...BUT, on Tuesday night (5/19/26 @ 7ish), the thin hostess with the dyed dark red hair gave us a rude welcome and sat us and we didnt get waited on for 20 minutes. Don't know the girl but she sure acted like she knew us. Strange experience. Disappointed that she sat us and didn't say anything to anyone. The waitress was super apologetic.“

“Loved it! Perfect place for lunch. The hot subs (and cold subs) are served on fresh bread and the counter help is very cheerful and helpful. Would definitely stop by as you make your way between Anchorage and Denali/Fairbanks on the Parks Highway.“

“This is my favorite for Japanese and Chinese food in the valley. Their dining room has a very warm, cozy cabin feel. Their sushi chefs are highly skilled and take great care with their work. They also have a wide range of drinks that pair well with the food. I recommend the plum sake, fruit soju, or a Sapporo beer. They also give you a warm bowl of comforting soup while you wait for entrée to arrive.“

“I can’t believe it took me this long to try this place—but wow, I’m so glad I did. I recently came in with my family, and the food completely blew me away. I lived in Japan for four years, and this is hands-down the closest I’ve found to truly authentic Japanese cuisine here in Alaska. Every bite tastes like it was made with care, intention, and real love for the craft.
Since that first visit, I’ve been hooked—I’ve already been back three times in one week and I’m about to place another takeout order as I write this. That should tell you everything you need to know.
It honestly breaks my heart to hear the business is up for sale. This place is something special, and it deserves all the support it can get. If you’ve been thinking about trying it—go. You won’t regret it.“

“We have been coming to Thai Asian cuisine for years and adore them! The food is amazing, it’s always clean, and our kiddo loves the toys (therefore we eat in peace lol). The ladies are so kind - we just love them! Cannot recommend them enough :)“

“Highly recommend this restaurant! The food was delicious, the lake views were beautiful, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. What really stood out was how much they seemed to care about their guests' experience. We ordered a side of chicken that ended up being much too salty, and when we mentioned it, the staff immediately apologized and removed it from our bill without any hesitation. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but it's how a restaurant handles them that matters, and they handled this one with kindness and professionalism. Honestly, that made me like them even more. We'll definitely be back.“

“We did not stay at the hotel but did eat at the café. Service is always spot on! We had breakfast. I had the special- crab cake Benedict. It was lovely! Enough for 2 meals- took half home and enjoyed it the next day. My husband had a breakfast skillet (not sure which one), he enjoyed it and took half home as well.“

“Date night at PeKing! We’ve ordered out, and dined in - the food is delicious. For this meal we got the broccoli beef, beef teriyaki and egg drop soup. There’s also a photo from our last dinner out of gf Mongolian beef and egg drop soup.. I love most dishes can be made gluten-free.“

“Our food was awesome, we ordered chicken strips and ff, avocado bacon Benedict (amazing), and a couple of 8 dollar value meals of pancakes, scrambled eggs and such. Everything was so good and our waitress was very polite and attentive. HOWEVER. Your hostess is and should be very welcoming. She definitely was not. Some people would walk out just for the attitude she had. Very sad to see, great place for Sunday breakfast!“
