“We came for our 37th wedding anniversary. It was our 1st time eating here. Our server was Bishop. Bishop was amazing....staring woth the glass of celebratory champaign, picking a perfect wine pairing, explaining the dishes, great sense of humor....he helped make our experience fun and memorable. The food....OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! The food was amazing. Cooked to perfection! From the bread, Amuse Bouche, appetizer (great fried green tomatoes, by the way!!!) Intermezzo, main course (ribeye and braised rabbit), and dessert with coffee....every step was amazing! A truly wonderful sensual experience from all the aromas, flavors, and ambiance. We will definitely be back, and will definitely recommend Cafe DuPont to others. Thank you for making our celebration special!“

“First tiñe in Alabama and stayed at the Renaissance Ross Bridge golf and country club. What a Lovely resort with superb golf. We dined at Brock’s restaurant. What a delightful surprise. Good, service and ambience all excellent. Chef Mark has amazing talent with combing flavors. Very creative and delicious food. Amazing talent. Kay was a wonderful server as well. Natashia was our server and she did a fantastic job, I had the new menu item of grilled meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green string beans, everything was superb and she had the crab cake dinner with french fries and coleslaw which was her choice and she loved the crab cakes. “I am new to the area and saw this place today. They had slices of pound cake and mini pies. They might have had other items too but I only noticed these, they captured my attention right away. I purchased a mini sweet potato pie, key lime, and a pecan. I also purchased a slice of lemon pound cake. My 12 year old announced she didn’t like pound cake or pie… A couple of hours later I tried the sweet potato pie. The 12 year old asked for a taste and begged to have the rest. Tonight we equally ate the lemon pound cake. Both superb. We haven’t tried the other 2 minis yet, but have no doubt they will be equally delicious. This place had the most delicious sweet potato pie and even better than my own (really good) lemon pound cake. Prices are reasonable and they have fantastic employees.“

“Walk up service that they serve at your table. So if you’re expecting full table service, not for you. Quick service with great food. Don’t forget to stop by bakery on your way out for cookies or bread. Only thing I would change is the chairs.“

“My first time at The Club! I was there for a scholarship dinner and thoroughly impressed. I asked about joining and was told that you had to be recommended. This is definitely a shortcoming for the club as I do not know many people in Alabama. This rule needs to be changed.“

“This is a Saturday lunch ritual when daughter, wife and I are all in town. We all get the exact same item (Pick 2, grilled chicken sandwich and Pepper patch salad), and it's always great. They also have great tea.
Highly recommend the place. Staff is very nice and helpful as well.“

“OMGOSH!!!! I ate at Steel City last night (12/21/22) as I am staying on property at the HI. We had a party of six. EVERY ORDER WAS SUPERB!! I had the grilled pork chops, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes! Delicious!!! The pork chops - yes two came on my order - were grilled to perfection! They were great cuts and TENDER! The mac and cheese and the potatoes were both homemade and delightfully seasoned! I almost asked the waiter if the cook was married! I want to carry him home with me!? Two adults in our party had Philly steak and cheese; two children had flatbread pizza - one cheese and one pepperoni - and our 15 year old had a burger with mushrooms EACH PERSON RAVED OVER THEIR MEAL. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT AND NICE PORTIONS!!! We are good cooks and we know good food!!!! Do not think twice - eat at Steel City!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!! PS We are eating there again today before our flight to Florida?“

“On Saturday, April 5, 2025, I had my retirement dinner at Culinary Dropout. There were twenty people in my party. Our server Natalie was a "little dynamo". Even the restaurant was crowded due prom season, she got all drink orders promptly. The starters orders arrived soon after. Then the entrees. She was there for drink refills and other requests. She handled the situation with grace, kindness and professionalism. Her and the other wait staff were truly exceptional. The bartenders got drink orders promptly and made to protection. They made my 25 year retirement celebration truly awesome! I will definitely book any future events with this amazing restaurant. Kudos!!!!“

“Popped in breakfast at the Harvest, which is located in a hotel. Only one server who was trying to manage 15 tables and doing the best she could, all while maintaining a smile and managing to check on me enough. Got the redmont special with scrambled eggs which were okay, some kind of Alabama sausage which was really good, the seasoned potatoes which were delicious and I just wished I had more of the larger pieces, and the cheese grits which were okay. Overall I liked the breakfast and the area.“

“When I go to Topgolf, I typically have a great time but last night I was disgusted me and two friends went there to eat and have a good time we went into the restaurant. We waited an hour before anyone even spoke to us then when we stopped a few of the workers one guy with dreads that was working the bar with a red shirt on, he was rude. When I asked did he work there and when I asked him to get us a server he ignored me after several attempts to get an employee to come, Services us savanna a server came to the table after 45 minutes of trying her best to ignore us and several other customers and asked the drink orders but at this point we’re ordering food as well long story short we spent we came in at 9 didn’t leave the restaurant part until 1130 and missed our spot at the golf course. When we asked for the check that took 45 minutes even though it was almost empty in the place. It seem like no manager cared or just wasn’t present the place was being ran by kids and it was horrible.“
