It was me, my husband and my almost 4yr old and she was so sweeeet and kind and even made my son giggle and smile. She definitely deserves some recognition, and it was pretty busy too & she stayed attentive and we never had to hunt her down or ask for anything! Highly recommend requesting her if you go! Although the space did not accommodate my entire group inside their exceptional customer service offered a great alternative which was a great experience to my family. For something that was just a fun place to stop by, they made it the highlight of the day. And for that every time I travel to Mobile from Birmingham I will be back. I am now a loyal customer. “We've dined at the Dauphin's a few times before during previous visits to Mobile, AL and always enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit during Memorial Day weekend was a bit of a letdown. While the service was okay, the food left much to be desired. The main issue was the white fish of the day limon style, which was overcooked ~ extremely dry and hard with a side of overcooked, slimey asparagus. This was quite disappointing, especially since it's a dish I've enjoyed here in the past. However, the rest of the items we ordered were pretty good, maintaining the quality I've come to expect. I have to add that portions are above average size so if you're looking to try dessert, you may want to skip appetizers. One consistent highlight is the view from the 34th floor, which is simply amazing and adds a wonderful ambiance to the dining experience, especially during sunset. The cocktail with thyme is also great. Overall, this visit was not as impressive as previous ones, but I hope it was just an off night for the kitchen. We may give it another chance due to the beautiful setting and the generally good food we've had in the past. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I'd only be able to give it 3 stars.“

I came back for dinner and was told they had closed for the day at like 4:30, I was a bit sad because Google shows they stay open until 7 on Mondays. The guy informed me they only do that on the weekends. So my only recommendation is that they increase the hours for those who don’t get off work until later in the evening so they too can enjoy the great food here.“

“We had breakfast there while we were I town for a convention. Martha waited on us and I felt like I was at home. “I really can’t say enough about this amazing establishment. I’ll start by saying that their service is amazing! Alesha was our server last night when my family went there to celebrate my sister’s birthday and she was so friendly and attentive. She did an excellent job taking care of our table! Everything we ordered was top gourmet quality. We shared a plate of fried crab claws which were delicious & perfectly seasoned. I had the spinach salad which was also wonderful especially the balsamic dressing. My entree was the fresh catch which was red fish over a bed of couscous mixed with roasted tomatoes and asparagus and my dessert was without question the BEST bread pudding I have ever had (and I’ve had a lot!) ; I think my favorite aspect of it was the chocolate bottom layer!! I would highly recommend this restaurant!! The atmosphere has a very classy vintage feel with wall paper that makes you feel as if you’ve stepped back into the roaring 20’s and a bar made of what looks to be rich dark mahogany wood with beautiful intricate carvings ! The dim lighting makes it perfect for a romantic dinner or any special occasion.“

Treating fresh local ingredients so well and not over complicating the plate is a rare thing. Most chefs try to show you how "cheffy" they are. Get the Carolina Gold Rice with the Blue Crab. It's the perfect dish. Fresh Crab, the rice is perfection and would make southern food enthusiasts like Sean Brock ask for seconds. We'll done!“

I will say if they had more sweet wines I would probably go back for wine and small meals but as far as a full dinner I don't know I would go back.“

“Wow! This place is a hidden gem! We were seated without any wait, by the chef himself. Our server was not just friendly, she took the time to chat with us. We ordered the Oyster Sampler to start and they are not lying when they say their Chargrilled Oysters are famous! Definitely our favorite, but the others were delicious as well. Then we ordered the broiled JO Platter with a house salad and fried okra. The salad was so fresh with their house made ranch and croutons. So delicious, I couldn’t stop eating it! We had to get their bread pudding to go because we were so full, but our server told us the best way to serve it. Can’t wait to try it! The service was absolutely fantastic! Wish we had one of these in Atlanta!!“

“I visited hearts on a Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. they were out of spicy chicken and said that they were not frying anymore because they closed at 10:00. I don't know how long it takes to fry chicken but if you have a whole hour to service people why wouldn't you make sure you have what you need. ( just saying. )“

“I travel to Mobile regularly now and always make it a point to stop here. Food and drinks are great, specifically the double cut pork chops and old fashioned’s. Place is a little tight when busy. Make sure you show up an hour before closing as they typically won’t seat you.“

The seltzer is awesome and the food was great, fresh and hot all night! This is a little gem in downtown Mobile! I’ll be back and look forward to having a peach seltzer with Ben, Amy, Amanda, and Nancy soon!“

Parking: The parking was a little congested. The food is so good the drive-through is backed out on the streets!
