I came back for dinner and was told they had closed for the day at like 4:30, I was a bit sad because Google shows they stay open until 7 on Mondays. The guy informed me they only do that on the weekends. So my only recommendation is that they increase the hours for those who don’t get off work until later in the evening so they too can enjoy the great food here.“

“We've dined at the Dauphin's a few times before during previous visits to Mobile, AL and always enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit during Memorial Day weekend was a bit of a letdown. While the service was okay, the food left much to be desired. The main issue was the white fish of the day limon style, which was overcooked ~ extremely dry and hard with a side of overcooked, slimey asparagus. This was quite disappointing, especially since it's a dish I've enjoyed here in the past. However, the rest of the items we ordered were pretty good, maintaining the quality I've come to expect. I have to add that portions are above average size so if you're looking to try dessert, you may want to skip appetizers. One consistent highlight is the view from the 34th floor, which is simply amazing and adds a wonderful ambiance to the dining experience, especially during sunset. The cocktail with thyme is also great. Overall, this visit was not as impressive as previous ones, but I hope it was just an off night for the kitchen. We may give it another chance due to the beautiful setting and the generally good food we've had in the past. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I'd only be able to give it 3 stars.“

“I really can’t say enough about this amazing establishment. I’ll start by saying that their service is amazing! Alesha was our server last night when my family went there to celebrate my sister’s birthday and she was so friendly and attentive. She did an excellent job taking care of our table! Everything we ordered was top gourmet quality. We shared a plate of fried crab claws which were delicious & perfectly seasoned. I had the spinach salad which was also wonderful especially the balsamic dressing. My entree was the fresh catch which was red fish over a bed of couscous mixed with roasted tomatoes and asparagus and my dessert was without question the BEST bread pudding I have ever had (and I’ve had a lot!) ; I think my favorite aspect of it was the chocolate bottom layer!! I would highly recommend this restaurant!! The atmosphere has a very classy vintage feel with wall paper that makes you feel as if you’ve stepped back into the roaring 20’s and a bar made of what looks to be rich dark mahogany wood with beautiful intricate carvings ! The dim lighting makes it perfect for a romantic dinner or any special occasion.“

“I grew up in a time when there was only one Wintzell’s Oyster House and it was certainly a special place to go, even when I lived 100 miles away. I had to give this location a try as I was staying at a hotel right down the road.

I went there late and was promptly seated. I ordered the Broiled J. O. Platter with a side salad. The fresh salad came out right away. It wasn’t long before the entree appeared. Oh my goodness! All of it was tasty and fit well within my calorie budget.

I've been in Waffle Houses all over the state and the atmosphere, the service, the friendliness is always the same regardless of who's working. The food is cooked amazingly fast and accurate but most importantly amazing as you expect it to be at Waffle House. Tonight (2/10/25), Gery was our server and he was awesome! He was so friendly, attentive and deserves a raise along with everyone in there. Keep it up y'all bc you're regulars look forward to coming in to having a little fun while we enjoy a great meal!
