“Great place to go if you looking for official Mexican food. Complimentary chips and salsa, I had the fish taco dinner. Everything was cooked well and tasted better. Great beer with a 32oz draft option. The prices were really reasonable too. No complaints! Would definitely come back.“
“Upon posting my review Cordell called me to discuss the issues and make my order whole. Cordell was professional and friendly. Went back the next day a Dre took care of everything since Cordell was off.(Cordell advised me he wouldn't be present but speak with Krystal). Cordell concerns about the order was impressive). Thank youNasty and expensive food. Soggy, very little meat and chicken. No flavor. Went back they were closed. Odd hours“
“Got to try a new place to eat out while moving our kid in (already!!) for school. Enjoyed the quick, friendly service and tasty food. I had Al pastor (seasoned pork) tacos (SOOO GOOD), hubby had pampazo (potato’s and Mexican sausage soaked in a red pepper sauce) and daughter had a simple cheese quesadilla, with drink Horchata. Only mild complaint was no chips to dunk with available queso dip. Will be back!!“
“This place has always been great, but going last week was a little underwhelming. Initially hit by the smell of sewage when we walked in, we should have left then. But the other Mexican restaurant nearby was closed, and this restaurant has always been a great experience. Not to mention being a Special Needs Mom, there's something also special about the owner that draws us to this place. The food is usually really tasty but during this visit, some of it was under seasoned. The house hot sauces were great. The salsa was good. The street tacos were good. The chicken tacos were what were under seasoned as well as the rice and beans.Staff is always courteous and familiar faces there. Hopefully the next visit they will be back to normal with the odors gone and the cooks back on their game with seasonings.“
“Me & my Bestie love it here !! It's close to where we live & our food is always excellent !! Tony is one of our favorite people there, he's ALWAYS SUCH A GREAT HOST! The staff is really nice here & they have the margaritas!!“
“We were traveling through Alabama and it was time for lunch so we selected Taco Mama because they have "build your own" tacos (2 for $15). I was really impressed with these tacos. The shrimp was fresh and juicy. The corn tortillas were tasty, but fell apart because I over stuffed them with all sorts of free toppings. The tomatillo sauce was flavorful and tangy. These came accompanied by chips, salsa, and a side. I ordered the slaw. It was shredded with carrots and also had a tangy flavor, not at all mayonnesy. I would definitely come back for more.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options on the menuWheelchair accessibility: ADA accessible parking and facility“
“A really nice restaurant in Tuscaloosa. The street corn and guacamole are favorites there. Pretty good happy hour, but the margaritas are a tad small for me. However, the food is the attraction and it doesn't disappoint. One issue is they MAY add some idiotic liquor tax. Tell them to delete it. It's bogus!“
“Food was delicious!Parking: Large, well lit, paved parking areaKid-friendliness: Children are welcome and have specific menu options.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible area on curbs, wide entryway, table seating to pull chair up to table.“
“Our favorite Mexican place in Tuscaloosa!! The Tarascos dip is fabulous. I love the grilled nachos but if I’m sharing something with my family we get the Gaby’s special - plenty of food for myself and my husband, and enough to share with our three-year-old twins. They are obsessed with the chicken!Another reason this is one of our favorites - the fried ice cream is always spectacular. Sometimes they just use vanilla ice cream, but the majority of the time they use other flavors - cookies and cream is my favorite! You cannot specify what ice cream flavor you want, but it will typically be something other than vanilla. We have always had amazing service, food and drinks here.Pro-tip - ask for Nacho to be your server!“
“One of my favorite restaurants. They always have the Bama game on and whatever big game is happening outside of Bama. Service is nice, food is delicious, price is respectable. Be careful entering the parking lot because it's steep, it can scrape your car. Also, I got rice beans and salad with my food which is always nice. This is my go-to Mexican place in town.“
“4/10/24 Food was fresh hot delicious had Fajitas nachos i could have just ordered that but we didn't it was super packed and live at dinner time by 7pm ish waitress was nice and helpful because it was our 1st time he spent around44.00 it was worth it will be back for the gumbo next..Parking: you will have to park atleast a half of block away unless you are bless to pull up when someone is backing out ?“
“I have been looking for a good, authentic Mexican food truck ever since I moved to the Tuscaloosa area in January. I discovered this place just the other day, and I have to say, the birria tacos that I got here were the best I've ever had anywhere! They came with a huge cup of the Consommé soup, which was also delicious! The people working at this food truck were very nice, and the service was quick! You could see them preparing everything and cooking the food in the truck, so you know the food is fresh and made on site. If you're looking for the best authentic Mexican food in Tuscaloosa, be sure to check this place out! I will definitely be trying other menu items in the near future.“
“I think the food and service gets better each time I visit. Drinks are poured strong ? I had quesa birrias for lunch and just thought about how good they were, and now I'm here leaving my first good review in awhile. Only possible complaints are parking, doors being locked, and 15% auto tip, but overall I love “
“Great service always, need to clean their tables with bleach before the next family comes in to eat but other than that it's great eating their oh yeah and please make sure your bathrooms aren't messy and stocked up. They usually are but I guess they got busy last time I was there.“
“What have you done?! The unique tortilla that has been Taco Casa’s difference since my childhood is gone! These are Ortega tortillas and you won’t convince me different. I’m so sad. The burritos, taco salad, and nachos are all different.“
“Everything was fantastic! I had shrimp tacos, and they were excellent, but the thing that I will go back for is the salsa. That may sound strange, but the first bite of chips and salsa did it for me. The salsa was so fresh, tasty, and not overly seasoned that it was perfect. I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu.“
“I could never say enough good things about this place. We’ve been coming here for 3 years and have NEVER had a bad experience! We always ask for Hector who is absolutely amazing. He’s been waiting on me since I was a freshman in college and has always been the best. The food is great and not terrible in price for what you get.“
“Food was delicious as always. I met the absolute sweetest little girl in the drive-thru last Saturday. She greeted us with a big smile and was so friendly. She said her name was Nae. My bag was missing a soft taco, she apologized and happily got it for me. You rarely see good customer service these days and I greatly appreciated her kind attitude. I wish I could give this 5 stars but while the window was open I overheard another girl making food and rude comments. Every time I come here when she's there she's always being loud, or talking about someone. I'm not telling anyone what to do, but maybe this restaurant should get more workers like Nae. This girl needs a raise!“
“We own a window tint shop a couple of doors up from this place and we absolutely LOVE it! We think their Mexican tacos are the best- they have many other things on the menu but the tacos are our favorite. We always get the same thing every time and they know us by now and I don't even have to repeat the order. It is a very clean restaurant with great service and we highly encourage you to try it! A word of warning however, unless you REALLY REALLY love hot food, steer clear of the red sauce lol- it will set you on fire. The green sauce has just the right amount of kick and great flavor.“
“Food was amazing! Every single thing we ordered was so delicious and you can tell they put a lot of love in it. Their natural drinks are really natural, their tortillas are handmade (not bought in stores), and their prices are great. Nothing goes over $15 and you can get super full with that price. Outstanding! - I really don't understand the bad reviews from this place. SERVICE IS VERY FAST.“
“Has become my favorite place in Northport since I started working here in August. I'm sure there are other places - maybe better - but this one is close and really, really good. Haven't felt the need to go further. Haven't had a bad dish here but my go to has been the Mexican Alhambra. I don't think it'll ever disappont.“
“This was by far the best food I've had since God knows when it's completely unique and something I haven't eaten yet excellent amount of food for your money good atmosphere nice decor and the food actually gets out in the timely matter“
“We had the Mexican Nachos and the Trio Salad. First of all the chips & salsa were either really good or I was really hungry. Hubby's nachos looked yummy and my Trio Salad was delicious. Honestly preferred the chicken and shrimp over the steak but it was a nice way to try all three. Lots of food and plenty to take home. Finally, Peach Margaritas (2 for me)...definitely hit that spot. Enjoy!!!“
“Love Jalapeños! This is one of our favorite places to go for good food, good service and a warm, friendly atmosphere. We have several favorites. Pork belly tacos, Dirty Rice, Chimichanga, Fajitas and the new menu item, Maicitos. You can’t go wrong here.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access“
“I had the pleasure of dining at La Flor De Guerrero and it was a culinary journey like no other. The diverse menu offers something for everyone, and the quality of their food is exceptional. If you're in the mood for authentic Mexican flavors, this restaurant is an absolute must-try.“
“My wife and I have eaten here for many years. By far our favorite Mexican restaurant in Tuscaloosa! The food is always consistent and service is most of the time quicker than an average fast food restaurant.Peter and Rafael are our favorite waiters. The owners always converse with us and make us feel at home. There’s Chabely’s, then everyone else!“
