“I went through the drive thru tonight which was the first time I have ate at a slim chickens. I ordered my chicken strips grilled and they were really good. They weren't over cooked or over seasoned. The fries were tasty too. I looked at the menu and they have great family deals for fair prices. Although this place was wrapped around the building with people the staff was so pleasant, polite, and efficient. I don't leave many reviews but thank you for the good food and service, please keep up the good work.“

“I got the salmon plate with mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans were delicious and I wish I had gotten double sides of those instead of the potatoes. The potatoes were a bit cold and pasty in texture.

We sat at a high top in the bar area and our waitress was the bartender. There were several people at the bar but overall the restaurant was relatively empty but probably normally for a Monday night.“

“My husband and I came to this location for lunch, and I ended up having a nosebleed that lasted over 20 minutes. The staff was incredibly kind and supportive throughout the whole time. The manager stayed with us the entire time to make sure I was okay, and our waitress ensured our food was remade and still hot when we were ready to eat. The team here is truly amazing — they handled everything with such care and professionalism. Highly recommend this location!!! Have also had great experiences here.“

“I just returned from having Sunday lunch with a group of 10 at your location.The five men sat at one table and the ladies at another. Even though their orders were taken first, our food came first by about 45 minutes or longer. The waitress went to the ladies table and asked were they ready for their tickets like the restaurant needed the table. Somewhere along the line their order did not make it to the kitchen. Thirty minutes later the ladies were served and the men had to sit and wait for them. We were all given a discount on our tickets and that was appreciated but no one ever said they were sorry. That would have gone a long way. Everyone makes mistakes, even restaurants, but an apology . That would have been nice.“

“We rented the party room at JW Steakhouse May 3,2025 for our 40th class reunion and it was 10/10. The food was great and the service was fantastic. Didn't have to wait long on our food and the waitress kept our drinks full. Very nice staff and would recommend this Steakhouse for your special events.“

“Wow! Great service and hot food! We stopped going to Capt D’s because of quality and customer service decline. Congrats to the team at the Decatur branch for turning our poor experience into a great one. We went through the drive through about 5:30 pm: we were greeted courteously, we ordered efficiently as our female cashier made suggestions and processed our order quickly, was pleasant and smiling at the window, and the food was quickly prepared & still hot when we got home to eat. We will be back!“
