“I came for the first time yesterday to celebrate my partner and I’s anniversary. Wow. I saw great reviews everywhere and somehow yall still out performed them. We were helped by Savannah who was in training and she was marvelous. She was so sweet, checked on us often & was so knowledgeable of what was offered. Also the individual she was training under was able to help with the accommodations we needed due to an allergy. The bottomless tapas were amazing and the mimosas were flowing. Though we had the two servers, everyone really worked together to make sure our experience was amazing. Thank yall so much!“

“Went to 2 different locations before visiting Prive/Palace. You get entry to the restaurant for free and the club in back for $10. Security will check you before entering and parking spaces were nice.

“I walked from the hotel and dare I say that the walk was a little sketchy. If I had to guess, I’d say that I wasn’t in the most favorable area of Birmingham, but nevertheless I blended in because I was in a familiar environment. Initially, I thought that the food truck outside was the bar, but I was able to go inside the bar and watch the game until my food was ready. I ordered a double shot of Jameson and the price was a bit more than I was accustomed to paying, but needless to say I didn’t scoff at the price. I like how both of the business were working together and from what I was able to see from the short amount of time that I was there is that it’s a popular corner of Birmingham. I would recommend it.“

“Stopped by The Electric in Avondale and was honestly impressed. Grabbed a pub sub and the white chicken chili and both were fantastic. The sub was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor, and the white chicken chili was rich, comforting, and perfect on a cooler day. Great spot with a solid menu and a relaxed Birmingham vibe. “First of all….it’s in the CUT! And they are ONLY OPEN ON SUNDAY NIGHTS. The glow from warm neon sign welcomes you on arrival near the front door. Parking was easy. On the street or the big lot.

As a first timer you just have to go in and find a spot. $5 cover charge so bring some cash. They also have security. There are lots of tables and chairs and of course a few seats at the bar. If a table or chair is open feel free to snag it. The service at the bar was quick. They accept cards. Bartenders were very nice.

If you want food head for the back corner and go to the window. Two guys will hook you up. A menu of chicken wings, fried fish, and pork chops and fried will satisfy you. The food came out HOT and it’s packaged to go.

Will for sure be back on a future Sunday.“

“In the heart of 5 Points Birmingham is a hidden jewel. It's one of those rare venues where you immediately meet new friends and easily become the extended family of the staff and patrons. Every time we open the door we feel like we are home! Definitely check out the music, they have the best in wonderfully talented and often local bands and performers! The food was great, although I was looking forward to the rumored blooming onion (no fault there, but would love to see it on the menu if that rumor was actually true hah). My only complaint was they had an Old Style neon behind the bar and the bartender didn't know what Old Style even was. I would have been quite surprised if they had actually had Old Style at a Birmingham bar, but that exchange did give me a good chuckle.“

“I was genuinely excited to try this restaurant after passing by it so many times while traveling through Downtown Homewood. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit of a letdown. That said, it wasn’t terrible by any means, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. A friend and I dined here together as most of my readers know, I often bring someone along for reviews to offer more than just my own perspective. Appetizer: We started with the Tallulah Wings, opting for the Sweet Heat Dry Rub with Alabama White BBQ sauce. The first surprise was that the wings arrived already coated in the sauce. In my opinion, when a sauce is meant as a dip, it’s best served on the side, not as a coating. Unfortunately, the wings themselves were quite underseasoned it reminded me of drinking a LaCroix, with just a faint whisper of the sweet heat flavor. That said, the little flavor I could taste had a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of Golden Flake potato chips and those are undeniably delicious. I just wish the wings had packed more of a punch. Entrée: Next, we tried the Social Stack, essentially their version of a McDonald's Big Mac. I have to say, it was significantly better than a Big Mac. The sauce was flavorful, the patties were fresh and well-seasoned, and everything came together beautifully. It’s a rich burger, but the crispy, seasoned fries helped balance that richness. The freshness and flavor made this burger a standout I’d absolutely order it again. If it weren’t for the disappointing wings, this meal would have earned a solid 4 out of 5 stars. As it stands, I’m giving it 3 out of 5. However, I do plan to return and explore more of their menu. I believe there’s potential here, and I’m hopeful my next visit will be a more satisfying experience.“

“My family visit here in birmingham and I was so lucky to found this place for my mother's birthday. The owner and the dj was great and make my mother's day even more wonderful. The staff and the other customers were very friendly and made of feel like the favorite cousins at a family reunion. The dj was very entertaining he played a variety of music.
