“It's been awhile since I have been in Hartselle's Captain D's. I went in and ordered some to go plates. If the customer service I saw tonight is their norm then the staff should school our other fast food restaurants on how to run a business. The cashier was super friendly and helpful and the order filled promptly and correctly and the last thing I heard as I picked up my order was,"We appreciate you sir".“

“What makes this buffet unique from many in Alabama is the idea that these people don't half do anything. Most buffets have 3 or 4 dishes that they do very well and the rest are mediocre at best. Not here everything they have on the buffet is way over the top in taste and quality. They have maybe 20 food items on the buffet not counting the salad bar and all 20 items are far superior in taste and quality to almost any other buffet. Well worth the drive from wherever you are. The Friday night seafood buffet delivers the same food quality and taste. If you haven't tried it do yourself a favor and go! You won't regret it!“

“Wow! Great service and hot food! We stopped going to Capt D’s because of quality and customer service decline. Congrats to the team at the Decatur branch for turning our poor experience into a great one. We went through the drive through about 5:30 pm: we were greeted courteously, we ordered efficiently as our female cashier made suggestions and processed our order quickly, was pleasant and smiling at the window, and the food was quickly prepared & still hot when we got home to eat. We will be back!“

“We rented the party room at JW Steakhouse May 3,2025 for our 40th class reunion and it was 10/10. The food was great and the service was fantastic. Didn't have to wait long on our food and the waitress kept our drinks full. Very nice staff and would recommend this Steakhouse for your special events.“
