“I visited Neighbor’s today with three kids that I babysit after a trip to the park across the street. We had visited a few times before, so I recognized the man working behind the counter. He greeted us kindly and got the kids their ice creams. When it came time to pay, I went to tap and my card declined. This is where Neighbors stands out. The young man behind the counter said it was okay, and to just repay them when I returned. I definitely should have planned better and brought cash, but the kindness that he demonstrated is what makes Neighbors stay true to their name. (I did return and pay not even 20 minutes later with some cash I had in my car)“

Imagine my surprise when, 10+ years later, I walk into this location and see Wildberry Lavender on the menu! I'll try other flavors (all delicious) but WL is my go-to at Jeni's! While I do really enjoy the flavor, it's really all about that beautiful purple color (my favorite)! “I love going to this Crumbl when we are in the area. It became part of our routine during the time my son was going through treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at Children’s. We have continued the trips to get Crumbl cookies, cakes and pies when we are in town for checkups. This store is always clean, friendly, and the treats are top notch!! We are always super satisfied with what we get from here!“

There was a very decent variety of ice cream flavors also a good amount of toppings. “My first impressions were this is a very nice environment. Bright, open, airy and organized. I was excited to try the confetti cake bcuz I'd seen it at the Vestavia Hills location, but they were sold out of them. I'm not a regular customer so I wasn't sure if this cake was their first roll-out of large, shareable desserts. Anyway the cake was presented to me before it was boxed up and I was satisfied with its appearance. I finally tried some later on at home and was surprised that it tasted like a fine dusting of cornstarch was present on it. I mean, that's the first thing that came to mind. The cake had a large crumb like a box cake would. Overall, I was somewhat disappointed but I chalked it up to it being cold, as they keep certain desserts refrigerated. The baker did tell me the cake was brushed with condensed milk, which isn't a bad thing. It adds another layer of flavor and moisture. Well, at this point, I put the cake in the cabinet overnight. The next day, it tasted way better! I gave half of it away, and finished my piece. I can't wait until the strawberry shortcake rotates back around.“

The croissants here are perfectly flaky, buttery, and freshly baked. The plain croissant had a crisp exterior with soft, airy layers inside, while the almond croissant (my free treat!) was rich, slightly sweet, and packed with crunchy almond goodness. Absolutely delicious!

Customer Service:
The owner was warm and welcoming, and the free croissant was such a lovely gesture. It’s rare to find a bakery that cares so much about making customers happy!

The churros were amazing and the service was exceptional. I’m only in Birmingham every few weeks- but will be stopping by each time for a treat!
